Paul took great care of my golden Ollie! He took him for two walks a day which was much appreciated. He was reliable, communicative and sent updates/pictures during the stay which set my mind at ease while I was traveling.
It was great to work with homeowners Siobhan and John to plan our trip to lovely Venice, Florida. The house and neighborhood were squeaky clean and the two cats were lovely and soon warmed up to us. Piper and Serafina are uncomplicated adult cats who enjoy the fenced-in pool area behind the house, but are generally indoor cats. We thought they were very beautiful and enjoyed talking to them and playing with them. Siobhan left excellent instructions and had prepared very thoughtfully for our time in their home, with linens, tourist brochures and a gift card for a local supermarket. The community is gated. We would have been welcome to use the heated pool at the clubhouse, but there were so many other things to discover in the vicinity. The house and bedrooms are very comfortable. We would be very happy to keep in touch with John and Siobhan and to meet up with them again in the future! I recommend this sit- anyone would be lucky to spend time with the lovely Piper and Serafina in Florida!
Ann was friendly and responded quickly to messages. The place is in a great neighborhood - close to Trinity Bellwoods - but I understand she's moving soon to an even nicer place in Hamilton with a yard for the dogs. Patch is a sweet dog that will follow you everywhere. Just adorable. Pablo is a rescue that was extremely anxious. He's small, doesn't make a sound, and mostly hid under the desk or couch for most of the 4 days I was there. You can tell there's such a sweet dog waiting to come out... hopefully he'll start to relax more soon. Ann is great for adopting him and moving to a new home so he can have a yard to enjoy.
This was my first-ever sit, and it was a great experience. Misti's house is comfortable, organized, clean, and lovely with instructions clearly laid out. Pumpkin is a super-sweet, mellow boy who always greeted me at the door and would insist on some lap time a couple of times per day. He needs to be given a pill once per day and he was really good about it, we usually got it done in one easy try. I work remotely, and the internet was super fast. Shopping, restaurants, beaches, and natural beauty are all nearby. Thanks for a great first sit, Misti!
Cannot recommend this sit enough! Chantal & Daniel are wonderful humans, excellent comms and so helpful with anything you might need. Lily & Aoife are amazing! Such cuties who love cuddles. Affectionate and adorable. And then there’s the location! Gorgeous views in a modern, very comfortable & well equipped cottage on a great island. Lots to see and do. The only downside … it’s very hard to leave! Hope to be back 😀
Oh Miss Roxy! What can I say?! It was such a pleasure to stay with you! Lovely early mornings watching the sun rise on the verandah together- very cute help when I was on the computer.( Roxy liked to lay on my keyboard) I even had help hanging out the washing, cooking and cleaning my teeth. Roxy delighted my son when he came to visit- and my daughter who has two cats, found Miss Roxy to be - in her words, a very distinguished old lady. Thank you for the pleasure of caring for your home Ann & Andrew, and Miss Roxy.
We enjoyed our time getting to know Henry and George. They both have individual needs and once we got the hang of things we were all happy campers. Henry is crafty and will try to sneak out the door but he is easily lured back inside with sweet talk and promises of kitty treats. He loves chasing his mouse (feathers) on a rod around the house. He also loves free feeding and will let you know when his bowl gets low. George is very people-focused and loves being around you. He also enjoys going for walks and snuggles. Both pets slept with us at times. I think we almost learned all the elements of the smart house by the end of our stay.
