Juliet was a dream sitter. She communicated well that the dogs where happy and sent a couple pics. We came home to a spotless house with fresh made bed. As a person, she’s calm and just a joy to have her energy in your home. We’d love to have her sit again.
This was a very unique experience! The property is gorgeous, the animals always ready to receive love, and the people on site are magical in their own way. The vegan requirement had us worried but we decided to make an experiment of it (I lost 15 lbs) and we noticed the difference in our bodies! This is a great option for those on the path, providing a natural space for growth and reflection. There is a family of Great Horned owls by the creek who allowed close observation. The hardest part of this sit is having to leave behind people and critters you have come to ❤️ love. Love lives here.
A very comfortable cottage with all the mod cons, attentive well behaved spaniel Bailey, affectionate cat Luke. Perfectly situated to enjoy the Gower peninsula and a short drive to stunning national trust sites. We had a great few days enjoying taking Bailey for walks (he’s very responsive and well trained - doesn’t chase sheep). We enjoyed the pizza oven and local pub. Would highly recommend.
This was one of my favorite sits ever! Elsie and Max truly are the BEST pets. So sweet, snuggly, and easy to care for. I miss them already! Charles is welcoming and easy to communicate with. Their home in Alexandria is gorgeous and in a great part of town. I would love to come back and would recommend this stay if you get the chance. Thank you for everything :)
Paula is a genuinely warm and caring person. Her home is meticulously cared for and very comfortable with a fabulous kitchen, deck and great back yard for Holly to roam. The location is great, easy access to good walking/biking trails, shopping and restaurants. Holly is a sweetheart and instantly became friends with welcome cuddles and play time. This is a very comfortable sit, with a caring petparent and sweet pup. Paula communicates with warmth and support. You will have everything you need!! We highly recommend!
From our first contact with Angela and Gerry everything ran smoothly with regards to arrangements for our sit. They made us feel so welcome in their lovely home and ensured we had everything that we would need. Angela and Gerry are so organised and we were very confident in what was asked of us. Dolly is the cutest little dog with a wonderful personality and she was a delight to look after. This was a wondeful sit and if you have the opportunity to sit for Dolly we would recommend it.
I greatly enjoyed my stay at Miyun's place with these two sweet kitty cats! This apartment is centrally located close to everything - transit, parks, waterfront, Polk Street (with excellent coffee shops, restaurants and bars), museums, and plenty of recreation. The space itself is charming with unique features - I loved the antique stove/oven! These two sweeties are such a joy to spend time with. Sarangi is incredibly warm and loving. She loves to be handled, pet, kissed, cuddled and she appreciates being a part of your day - she'll gently follow you around and softly talk to you like a companion ♡ Mongshiri is a bit more shy but she also loves affection and will plop herself right on your feet, belly up, for attention when she wants some. I really bonded with them both and genuinely already miss their cute little antics and their comforting company. All instructions and supplies were well laid out and incredibly thorough. No surprises, nothing to figure out, no time spent on sorting out how anything works. Miyun has a very orderly system that is easy to follow and made provisions for my things as well as thoughtful touches of hospitality for my stay. 10/10 would definitely recommend and hope to have another opportunity to sit here again in the future.

I contacted Bark at the Moon late last winter, when I needed advice before adopting a sweet and snuggly but “difficult” dog. I had never met Erica before, but her experience with the Victoria Stilwell Academy gave me confidence that I could trust her input. During our phone call, Erica's insightfulness and realistic perspective about our situation furthered my confidence. She said she’d be happy to work with us if I decided that adopting this dog was the right decision for me. It was, and he and I have been happily working with her since then! Erica is personable, understanding, and genuinely cares about her clients and their needs. The more I talk to and work with her, the more I respect her insights and knowledge about dog training and behavior. She always asks questions about my dog and his habits, to be sure we’re working to treat the causes, not the symptoms. Erica taught us positive reinforcement-based tactics that work for his specific needs (and mine!). She also gave me pointers on things I’d already been working on, which turned out to be the keys to getting consistent responses from my guy. All of the things we’ve worked on have fed into one another, and I’m even seeing positive changes in certain behaviors that we haven’t addressed directly. To me, that’s a huge testament to her methods. It’s been a lot of work and there’s still more ahead, but we’ve made SO much progress in a pretty short amount of time. We definitely wouldn’t be where we are now without Erica’s help. Thank you, Erica!!
Erica takes care of my two cats, Kodak and Leica, when I'm out traveling. I never have to worry if they're being well cared for. She'll reach out with pictures and updates of how they're doing. I recently rescued a puppy, Sadie, who had a rough start to her life. She was an incredibly fearful puppy and I was unable to comfortably groom her, get a collar on her or share a couch with her without fear of being growled at or snapped. Unfortunately, I tried a different trainer previous to Erica who actually recommended that I return my dog. I was feeling very lost and discouraged, but didn’t want to give up on Sadie. That’s when I found Erica and everything changed. Erica listened to my concerns and taught me positive reinforcement training techniques, which really helped to earn Sadie’s trust and reduce her fears. Sadie has blossomed into an incredibly happy, energetic puppy and I feel confident in the skills that Erica has taught me to apply them to future problems that may arise. I would recommend Erica from Bark at the Moon to anyone considering dog training.

Erica and her husband run an amazing company, I've had her care for my babies(dogs) for awhile now and have been very happy with her services. Both dogs have taken to them super fast which to me is a great sign, they are pet-loving, spoiling and compassionate about what they do. My senior dog, Morty, is medically fragile and completely deaf. The care provided by Erica and Bark at the Moon is unparalleled. I know my dog is in competent, compassionate hands with this excellent company - they have my utmost trust. His medications and foods are dispensed perfectly and communication with Erica is always clear. She is extremely precise with care instructions and I feel confident that everything is handled down to the tiniest detail. His deafness means he startles easily and cannot use verbal commands, but Bark at the Moon is so gentle and patient that he is always at ease with them. He had an unexpected surgery recently and the care provided by Erica while he was recovering was nothing short of exceptional. She made sure he was comfortable as possible and took him on short little walk in his cone. They have my profound gratitude for helping our most beloved family member when he needed it most. I can not say enough good things about Beth and the care that she gives to my 2 fur-babies! She has been walking and pet sitting for my dogs for the last 2 years. I work long, and sometimes unpredictable, hours at the Hospital. Beth has always come through when I've asked her to walk my dogs, even on short notice when I get stuck at the hospital with a late case. She is reliable, punctual, and very caring towards my dogs. She is also very knowledgable - when I adopted both of my dogs, she knew just how to approach each of them to gain their trust, and has picked up on when one of them was developing an ear infection and suggested I bring him to the Vet. She knows her stuff! I recommend her to everyone I know!
I have used Beth and Home But Not Alone Pet Care for over 20 years. During that time, Beth has taken care of our cats and dog for extended vacations, sporadic, evenings, or days away, sailing weekends, and in the past year on a full-time basis, because of surgery that left me unable to care for my pets. She is incredibly reliable, knowledgeable about animals, and very caring and loving. After all these years, we consider her a member of our family. Beth took great care of our two cats when we were away. The cats are sometimes skittish, but she brought out the best in both of them. During our vacation, Beth took care of our cats and our house, keeping an eye on our newspapers and making sure the lights went on. We were also happy that if anything happened, she knows our vet's office and would contact them if needed. We will definitely use their services again!
Not many pet sitters are veterinarian recommended. I was fortunate to find Home But Not Alone. My cat was diagnosed with hip dysplasia & warrants special care. I also have a snake which is almost impossible to find someone willing to care for him. Beth scheduled a meet & greet appointment. She took great lengths to understand my pet needs. The folks at Born to Wag are outstanding!! We have a rescue pup with special needs and Drew and Matt have been compassionate and kind with him. Our guy loves going for walks with Matt every weekday and sometimes on the weekends.
