Winston is a sweet natured dog and good company. He loves his walks and sometimes has a puppy's enthusiasm which belie his actual age. It was a pleasure taking care of him. I already miss him! Tanja and Chris are both lovely people - responsive communicators, and they made me feel very welcome in their home. Their place is comfortable and super secure. It was so nice to be close to Central Park - it made walking Winston super easy and pleasant. The location, if you are new to NYC, is great, walking distance to anything you need among the hustle of the city. If Tanja selects you, consider yourself lucky! :)
Looking after Molly and Turkey (aka Willow) was an absolute delight - I already miss them and hope to have a chance to look after them again! Kelly and Scott were awesome to housesit for, excellent communication before, during and after the sit, and they gave me really helpful information about the pets, the house and even the neighbourhood and local ski mountain. Molly is super smart, super cuddly and a great communicator. She loves back scratches and is really great company! Turkey is a chatty little cat and can be a little aloof but she was sitting on my lap purring by the first night. The home is gorgeous, big arched windows and a killer hot tub, just a block away from all the shops in town - so convenient. Rossland is such a sweet town, and skiing at Red Mountain is super fun. Scott helped me learn to use the snow blower which made clearing the deck and drive super easy (very helpful as it snowed 50+cm while they were gone). Kelly and Scott are incredible people and super generous - skiing with Kelly and Scott after they came back was super fun, and Kelly even took me for some nordic touring at the Rossland cabins to meet Molly prior to the sit. I had the pleasure of housesitting for Angie and Pat, who have two adorable cats named Miso and Nori, and two charming chickens, Boof and Floof. This housesit was a breeze as the animals were well taken care of with automated feeding systems, requiring minimal effort. All they needed was plenty of love, snuggles, and pets, which was an absolute joy to provide. The house itself was clean, making it a comfortable and inviting space to stay in. Angie and Pat were incredibly helpful and informative, ensuring that I had all the necessary details and resources to care for their beloved pets. Additionally, the location was superb, offering convenient access to nearby amenities and attractions. Overall, my experience as a TrustedHousesitter for Angie and Pat was nothing short of amazing. I genuinely hope to be invited back for another housesit, as it provided me with a much-needed and delightful getaway. I highly recommend them as hosts, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to care for their lovely animals.
Fergus and Bethany have a nice flat, with lots of natural light, in the south-east of Glasgow. Transport links are great, as the nearest train station is only 10 mins walk from the flat. Including the walk, you can travel into the centre in under 20 mins, which is great. Leo was instantly my best friend and came to sit on my lap whilst I chilled out in the living room. Mango took a little while longer to warm to me, but he was soon spending time with me on the couch. Rocket definitely keeps himself to himself more, but will let you know, along with the others, when it's meal time! A great sit with lovely cats in a good location. Thanks, Fergus and Bethany!
Our sitting at Gavin's house was incredible, we really had a great time there for two and a half weeks (our longest sitting so far), the girls (Ada and Evie) are very loving and the walks with them are very fun, they are really very easy to take care of and they are very chill. Chickens are a great hobby if you like that type of pet, and being able to eat fresh eggs every day is amazing and an incredible plus. Your house is near the river and you can have amazing walks during the sunny afternoons, appreciate the boats, the animals and the peace of the place. Gavin went to pick us up at the train station and he and Dawn gave us a warm welcome, they explained everything about their pets and we shared a great dinner, we were their first experience and I noticed them very excited about this... Her daughter, Charlotte, lives a few meters from the house and she was very attentive to us, she told us that in case of any emergency or thing we needed we did not hesitate to call her, she even accompanied us on the first walk with the girls, she showed us the area and shared a coffee, she also took us to the supermarket since we did not have a car (you can walk to the Tesco or Sainsbury anyway). Also, in the center of Ware, there are very good pubs and restaurants, they are even Pet friendly! Gavin's house was beautiful and super large, they have a GIANT garden to be able to enjoy the sunny days, we had our own room and bathroom, also space to work, fast internet, TV room with Netflix etc... all the comforts you need to relax on the days of your stay. We really recommend Gavin and Dawn's sitting, they were very good with us and Ada & Evie are charming and very pampered. Thank you both for everything!
The time we had <3 We can really recommend this housesit! Both Ronie and Buzz were really nice, easy to handle, they had no problem with our small children. House with garden was really beautiful, we got clear instruction about everything plus tips for trips in the surroundings. Sewards End is really peaceful village where you can relax close to nature, the town Saffron Walden is in walkable distance and other places are reachable by public transport. We really enjoyed the week of housesittng there, it was our pleasure to stay in Jane's and David's house :)
