Jessica stepped in for what was suppose to be a time I scheduled for being away teaching and turned out I had to leave for a family emergency. She is so great with animals and really went above and beyond. Jessica is neat, caring and an all around outstanding person. I highly recommend her

We adored watching Pixel - he is such a charming, floofy, and funny cat. 😻 He loooved getting brushed and watching TV with us. Kim and Randy made sure we had everything we needed to stay at their lovely home in San Francisco and we're very flexible with arrival and departure times, which we appreciated. The area they live in is great, their offices are wonderful for remote working, and Pixel kept us excellent company! All of this made us even consider moving to SF!

Parking can be a little tough, but that's just San Francisco, not their fault. We'd come back again for sure :)

Ace is easygoing! He’s slightly food-motivated, but it’s not really necessary when he’s out walking. He walks with a harness, not really a heel-er, but he’s easy to walk on a 6-foot lead. He walks with a harness, and will happily go where he wants. He’ll “pancake” for a bit when he doesn’t want to go in your direction, but he’ll follow the pack after a few seconds. We took him on two walks per day, between 15 minutes and 45 minutes. He lets you know if he wants to walk longer and definitely walks faster on the way to the local park!

We fed him twice per day, but he will graze and eat more when there is a topper (chicken/rice). His only meds: eye drops in the morning and evening. Dani showed us the easy way to administer them before she and Ali left. And, yes, Ace expected and deserved a treat afterward. He was patient about the drops. He’s not food aggressive either.

At home, he’s a sweetheart. He’ll sleep next to you in his bed when you’re working or next to you on the sofa while watching TV. He’ll sprawl on the big bed during the day, but sleeps in his own bed at night. And he likes to play with his toys and loves attention, but he’s not needy.

Ali’s and Dani’s house is well-laid-out and charming. We baked and cooked, but it’s also an easy walk into town for a beer or wine flight, dinner, or lunch. Ace has access to a doggie door, but appreciates having company. He greeted us at the door when we left for a bit.

Great location, adorable pup, and communicative parents. We loved our time with Ace and would happily return!

Kate was lovely to sit for; she has a wonderful home, was thorough and clear in her instructions, and most importantly—has two adorable and very playful kitties! Shady and Flump warmed up to us really quickly and we were happy to play with and cuddle them for the whole sit. They /are/ very fluffy boys, though, so expect to leave with quite a lot more cat hair than when you arrived! Would recommend and sit again :)

Helen
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Helen's home while she was away on holiday, and we can't express enough what a delightful experience it was. From the moment we arrived, Helen's warmth and kindness made us feel right at home.

Helen went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She provided clear instructions, making it easy for us to settle in, and her thoughtfulness was evident in every detail of her home. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the tasteful decor, created a welcoming atmosphere that immediately put us at ease.

One of the highlights of our stay was getting to spend time with Helen's lovely Roscoe. He quickly became our companion, and we felt a deep sense of responsibility and joy in caring for him during Helen's absence. It was evident that Roscoe is well-loved and cared for, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Helen's communication was excellent throughout our stay, and she made sure we had everything we needed. It was evident that she genuinely cared about our comfort and well-being. The trust she placed in us to look after her home and furry friend was truly appreciated.

In conclusion, our time at Helen's home was nothing short of fantastic. We left with a heart full of gratitude for her hospitality, a new feline friend, and a sense of having found a home away from home. We wholeheartedly recommend Helen as a host, and we would gladly return for another stay in the future. Thank you, Helen, for an amazing experience!

PAUL
Robin and I had lots of fun on this housesit. Paul and Kathy are great to talk with as they are open and candid. They have done a wonderful job training their 6 Labrador Retrievers. They are all hunting dogs with various levels of energy depending on their age, who all know their routines exactly and what the rules are. Run time, feeding time, kennel time, in-house time and bedtime are all undertaken without any fuss from any of them. Each individual dog is full of personality and all are very friendly and lovable. Emma is stand-offish at first, maybe 24 hours, but you just let her come to you on her own time. Once she does she is a very reliable companion.
Paul and Kathy are kind and generous hosts who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable during our stay.
If you love the freedom of the out doors, you are in luck here right on their vast rural property. However there are any number of villages, towns and cities within an hour’s drive that are great for exploring.

Zeus and Iris were so much fun! We loved spending time with them. They love just being around you and also playing! Iris is a little nervous at first, but she opened up to us very quickly. They walk well on leash, and they love walking the trail by the house!

The house was clean, good Internet for working, and so many windows for natural light. The area was close to everything you might want to see or might need.

Thank you for having us!
