It was a pleasure to spend time with Louise's well loved dogs and cats in her charming country home. Louise and her family extended a warm welcome to me and I enjoyed exploring the Murrambateman area: wineries, walking paths through beautiful woods right outside Louise's gate, and interesting small villages with friendly people. Hugs and cuddles to all your crew, Louise. I loved being with them.
Jenny was a warm, welcoming and organized host. She had an excellent welcome packet and also communicated thru a video chat prior to the sit. She has a great routine for Leonard the cat with an automatic feeder. Leonard is a sweet fluffy cat who is no trouble at all. He greets you at the door on arrival and after a few days quietly jumps on the bed in the morning to remind you that it might be time for a treat. He has several toys that he loves to play with. The house is well located for a visit to Asheville — it was nice to be staying away from the downtown area and have a lovely mountain vista. Jenny is an accomplished quilter and fabric artist and her husband an amazing wood turner creating fabulous bowls. It was great to see their creations at their home. Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore House were easy drives 15-25 minutes depending on time of day. Asheville is a great place to enjoy music, arts and crafts with many shops and guilds highlighting the talented local artisans, and great food. I felt very much at home at Jenny’s lovely home with Leonard! Would love to return !
This is a great pet sit gig if you can get it. The house is beautiful, the location is super quiet with sunrises and sunsets to die for, and I won't even mention the star gazing. So yes, you are out pretty rural so be prepared for that but what's not to love about peace and quiet. Chloe is dear. She's a lovely companion who sticks by your side and she's very low maintenance--slept a lot while I was working. The owners are super cool with lots of great stories to share about their travels. Highly recommend!
