Jun and her sweet family (husband Max, daughters Kalea and Grace) had attention to detail from the first interview for the sit. They treated our home and pets with care. We received regular updates and if there was anything in question they would reach out to learn the best way forward. Their daughters were sweet with our cat and guinea pig and we felt that they were loved and played with in our absence. We even arrived home to gifts from places in our community! We look forward to having them back to Bend.
We were so happy to have Joe and Becky come and sit for us! They took wonderful care of the dogs and our home. We also enjoyed meeting them and the ongoing communication while we were gone. We would gladly have them come back anytime.
I had an absolutely amazing stay with Iggy and Isla! Iggy is one of the most affectionate and sweetest cats I’ve ever met, and while Isla was more independent, she still had some cuddly moments too. Adèle and Alfredo were very communicative, welcoming, and overall incredible hosts. They had a very detailed guide that made caring for the kitties a breeze, and it also included plenty of great recommendations for exploring and dining in the area. Their home is very modern and clean but still charming and well decorated. I enjoyed the area - plenty of restaurants and a great farmers market within walking distance, and close enough to bus stops and metro bikes that I had no issue being there without a car.
Jewels Homestead is a slice of paradise, cozy clean house with a beautiful garden and amazing views. We had good communication and Jewel even provided us a list of all important stuff and explained everything well, she was so welcoming towards us. Ruby and Pearl are the most adorable and cutest dog and cat we’ve ever seen, we miss them already. 💜 Ruby is a smart dog full of energy and loves the walks in the forest and playing with her toys but also enjoys lots of cuddles. Pearl is so sweet and cuddly. She has a dog like nature and even comes with you on the walks. The chicken were fun and easy to look after too. Everything was so wonderful, thank you so much again for everything ! 🥰 We would we love to come back.
This was a comfortable sit. Ed and Allison were friendly, relaxed, and communicative. The house was clean, and I (Mary Lou) had a choice of guest bedrooms with sufficient space for my things. Don popped by occasionally but worked Thanksgiving week. We live locally and had a chance to meet the homeowners and their cat beforehand and enjoy a house tour. Allison and Ed respected my privacy. They had a small emergency that caused them to stop by briefly for some papers during my stay but gave me plenty of notice and were 100% considerate about it. Ghent is a historic and desirable part of the city of Norfolk, Virginia. It is architecturally interesting and fun to walk around. It is about a 4-hour ride from D.C. by Amtrak if you enjoy trains and even closer to Richmond. On this visit I met friends for a special exhibit at the Chrysler Museum, experienced holiday magic with Don at Winterfest on the Wisconsin—a retired battleship—and enjoyed local dining. Orapax Greek Restaurant was our favorite. Local restaurants generally have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, too. I had no car and got around fine on foot. A Harris Teeter supermarket is about a 10-15 minute walk. There is a public transit system, very reasonably-priced, especially if you can get day passes, which are good on the buses, ferry, and light rail. Visit gohrt.com for more information. I also use the Transit app. A car will get you places faster, obviously, if you care to bring one. Finally, the highlight of each day was Colonel Mustard. The Colonel is a well-loved and well-behaved kitty with an automated feeder, water fountain, and litter robot. So easy! He wasn’t much of a lap cat but liked to stay nearby. He loves attention and a little playtime, especially in the morning. It was hard to leave him at the end. This was a fun sit in a historic location in a hidden gem of a city. If you get a chance to house sit for Ed, Allison, and the Colonel, I recommend it. Don and I would happily return and will hopefully get the chance.
Randy and Laurie are wonderful people to meet and confer with as pet owners. The needs for their dogs' care were well laid out, which we appreciate. They were both very welcoming, making us feel immediately comfortable in their pleasant home, which is well located for exploring Oahu. Their neighborhood is perfect for long or short dog walks, in a nice community surrounded by green and lush Hawaiian hillsides. All three dogs -- Sigi, Aria and Paco -- are fun and energetic pooches, great companions on a walk or chilling out at home. Watching them play together in the back yard is hilarious. We would gladly come back here for a sit any time! Roger & Steph
Such a lovely sit at Sam and Emily's, their home is so chilled and relaxing and l had some of the best sleeps ever! Merlin and Polo are so easy to look after. Merlin just wants to be up close and personal with a lovely purr! Polo likes her own space with the occasional 'pass through' for a cheeky chin rub and a chat I had some fabulous days out, Audley End House and Gardens, Saffron Walden town market on Saturday and a lovely wander around the free gardens just on the edge of town... just stunning! I arrived by train via Cambridge and Sam very kindly picked me up from the station. Going home was a different matter No buses or taxis available due to Bank Holiday so l had to walk to the station (l left before S&E got back) Just a heads up should you sit over a BH, car possibly a good idea. All in all another lovely sit and would certainly recommend Thanks again Sam and Emily 😊
Brendan wad an amazing host. Excellent communication and a very warm welcome explaining all the specs around the house and Otto & Cara very clearly. An incredible housit and it really made me feel at home! The home is super stylish modern and super clean which I loved! Then of course what really made this sit special were Otto & Cara. Such a lovely team of true little terriers. Very loving and well behaved together. Cara runs the show, while Otto a little older & wiser lets her be. Cara is so adorable and Lovable- she was always snuggling and cuddling up to me which I thoroughly enjoyed. And Otto the dog that is a true Londoner-so people friendly and trusting. Both very obedient on walks and easy to handle. Their love of life is food, so always overly happy to get praised with a treat. The location itself is a journey into the best London has to offer. Totally safe as its one of Londons largest compounds, with lovely green space including ponds to go for morning & evening walks. And even a shop & little cafe to serve all your needs. In prime location on central line, 5 min from the next tube station. So biggest thank you all around. ten out of ten☆'s. I would highly recommend this housit!
