Dog Sitters in Washington, DC

Kim and Walt were amazing. They stopped by early so I could show them the house and they could meet Finn. They were always immediately responsive to texts, and they sent me Google albums, with Finn pictures, every day. I had asked for Finn to not be left alone for more than 4-5 hours, and they were extremely conscientious of that. They went to the dog park every night, and I heard from all my dog park friends how great they were! Arrived home to a clean house. They washed my sheets and made my bed. And what a surprise to find fresh flowers and a really nice note. I wouldn't hesitate to use Kim and Walt to take care of your pets/ house. I really hope to see them again next time they are in the area. And I know Finn would love that too!

We have always lots of difficulties to let the cat for a long vacation, but with Serena we were released from the first day of departure. She sent us a lot of photos and videos every day, so we didn't have time to get worried. She could touch the cat from the beginning even if our cat is very shy and could build a special bond with him. If you ever have the chance to get an apply from her, don't hesitate at all ! Your pet and your home will be in good hands.

Sandra was incredible! She stayed in our home and looked after our dog for seven weeks. Upon our return, we were pleasantly surprised about how clean our home was (cleaner than we left), as well as how lovingly cared for our dog had been. Sandra also regularly communicated with us while we were away, periodically providing us with photos of our dog.

Lauren was a great sitter! She was always very friendly and responsive, and clear and organised about her plans. She was totally self-sufficient while at my place and sent a couple of photos/updates about Coco which were much appreciated. Coco was his usual happy self when I returned and the flat was left very clean and tidy. Thank you Lauren!

Kristen & Tirell were wonderful! They communicated well with us before, during, and after the stay. They were great with our 2 dogs and 1 cat, including giving medications to one of the dogs. They left our house tidy and clean! They were a pleasure to host and we'd love to have them back! Thanks, guys :)

Vicky and Gord were amazing. Both our dogs loved them . We had booked two trips so we’re back home between them to repack. Vicky left us the most amazing lamb curry and cookies! We had boiler trouble while they were here and they dealt with plumbers etc easily. We hope they will be back !

Ann and Dan were a delight to have in the house. They were friendly, chatty, upbeat and charming. From the moment they walked through the door we felt confident and positive about leaving them in our house - we knew we’d struck gold! They looked after Maudie beautifully, walked her every day and left the house immaculately on leaving. We would highly recommend them to anyone else requiring a housesitter.

Wonderful sitter! Offered to come early to meet with us (even though they were coming from out of country!) Cared for our pup like he was part of their family, left our home spotless and well cared for, AND problem solved a clogged sink in our absence. SO grateful to have found such a kind and responsible people to be in our home and with our sweet boy.

We would recommend Gabrielle wholeheartedly. She is very self sufficient, kept our flat immaculate, and took good care of our older dog (no trouble following our instructions on medications). When we got back he was relaxed and not showing any of the signs of soreness he tends to show when he’s been stressed. We can only assume he had a very nice week! Gabrielle also took time out of her trip to Edinburgh to meet Marco in advance of her stay. She’s a lovely person.

A big thanks to Janet and Jeff for taking such great care of our quirky dog, Jock and our home. From the moment they arrived they immediately began to develop a rapport between themselves and Jock. Prior to their arrival we exchanged a number of emails which helped develop an easy familiarity between the four of us (five, if you include Jock). While we were away we received daily photos and updates of their adventures. When we arrived home the house was spotless. Spotless! Their previous house/pet sitting experience was evident and gave us complete confidence in them. We highly recommend Janet and Jeff for your next pet-sit.

Excellent sitters. Reliable, helpful in an urgency, great with the dogs..! Herbert is very knowledgeable in technical things which proved to be a boon, and Kim has a very soft spot for the animals. Great experience overall, heartily recommended..

Lulu was 100% attentive & loving to our cat. When we returned he was extremely relaxed and we could tell had been sincerely cared about! Lulu sent us photos and notes regularly as we requested and also took excellent care of our home and garden. We absolutely loved Lulu and you would be very lucky to have her care for your pet and home. She is a true gem!!!

Angela is a dream! She brings all of her own things, loves my dog like I do, and has left my house clean for my return both times I’ve had her sit. Would recommend for anyone!

Naomi sat for us for 1 month and our communication was limited during this time but she was always friendly and sent photos when I messaged her. When we got home, Naomi had washed and changed the sheets and towels, taken out all of the rubbish, done the dishes and left the kitchen and bathroom clean and tidy and written a shopping list for the things she'd used up. A few things moved around in the house and wardrobes but overall nice and tidy for our return. Jangles had started going to the toilet on the dinning room floor which Naomi told us about the day before our arrival. This mustn't have been nice for Naomi to deal with and I'm not sure how long it had been going on for and it would have been great if we could have troubleshooted the cause together. It looks like there may have been some damage to some of our soft furnishings, but Naomi assured us she wasn't responsible for the damage. I believe Naomi is a nice person who genuinely loves animals and my cats seemed very happy and well looked after in her company. We hope she enjoys the rest of her time here in Australia.

Ethan was great. He was reliable and efficient. Checked in multiple times and made sure directions were clear. I felt like he took great care of my dog.

Stacy and Chris were the best house/dog sitters we could have hoped for. When we first met via video chat Stacy was very thorough in asking questions and it was clear she really prioritized the health and safety of our dogs. She immediately put me at ease for my first experience using this platform. While we were away, Stacy and Chris were wonderful with our dogs and taking care of our house, as well as very accommodating of our travel plans when it came to arrival and departure times. They made friends with our dogs right away (including the skittish one who usually takes a few days) and were great about walking them and letting them out at regular intervals. The dogs didn't even have any indoor accidents, which doesn't always happen even when we are home. Stacy also sent us pictures and updates about the dogs each day we were gone. It was the perfect amount of contact to let us know that our dogs and house were well taken care of. We knew we didn't have to worry about anything while we were away. In terms of the house, they were more than willing to help with maintenance, like bringing in packages, taking out the trash, and even sending me a picture of a recipe I forgot to bring with me. Our trip was so much more relaxing knowing that Stacy and Chris were taking such good care of things. When we returned home our house was spotless and the dogs seemed very happy. The only problem is that I think the dogs might miss them! I would absolutely recommend Stacy & Chris as sitters. We've had many different experiences with sitters in the past and this has been one of the best. Stacy and Chris proved themselves to be extremely reliable and trustworthy, as well as people who really care for and treat animals right.

Chelsea and her lovely family is welcome back anytime. They were flexible, communicative, and so kind.

Jenny is the perfect house sitter. She is kind, reliable, self-sufficient, and careful to understand all the animal needs. Our cat needs insulin twice a day and Jenny easily took on that responsibility. We would definitely have Jenny back again.

Irene and John are the BEST!! They are so accommodating and willing to help. They really made us feel comfortable leaving our dogs and our home in their capable hands. They loved and played with our babies and took care of our house inside and out. They truly make it easy to leave on vacation and not worry about anything!

ABSOFREAKINLUTELY AMAZING! Megan and Bryant were the best. Chill, organized and clean. They obviously gave our pups a lot of cuddles and love. Thanks guys. Come back anytime!
