Beth and Matthew have been my first house sitters - and I was their first house sit too. Beth and Matthew have been great. I was a little nervous as this was the first time I've the zeewoi platform and service. Beth contacted me to let me know that one of my dogs had a sore on her chest and sent me a video to let me see and decide what to do. We agreed my dog needed to be seen by a vet and within a few hours my dog had antibiotics. Beth even popped into a shop to buy my dog a jumper to wear as the vet had recommended this to stop her scratching the sore. When I got home Beth had washed all their bedding and the house was clean and tidy. Both Beth and Matthew are a lovely couple and I would definitely recommend them both if you are looking for reliable and trustworthy house and pet sitters.
Erica was great! Easy to communicate with and very self -sufficient when we ended up being out of service for several days. Pingo and the house were clearly in good hands, we came back to a spotless house with a freshly made bed and a happy dog. We'd definitely have Erica again!
I am so grateful to Victoria for taking such wonderful care of my elder cats,, Zoe and Mischief, my home and my garden! She stayed in touch, and even sent photos of Zoe and Mischief, which further reassured me that my kitties and my home were in good hands while I was away. In short, I feel lucky to have connected with Victoria through zeewoi, wouldn't hesitate to call on her again, and recommend her without reservation.
This was my first time using zeewoi. Not only did I have to prepare my home for a guest but prepare myself for leaving my boys with someone I had only met through a zoom call. Right away, I was put at ease as Sharon just gravitated right to my boys. She asked questions about info that I had missed in my welcome pack that made me rest assured that she was on the ball. Throughout my trip, Sharon kept in touch with me about how the boys were getting along... I was so relieved hearing that their usual playful selves was apparent. Given that our flight home was going to be late, she insisted on waiting until we were heading out of the airport before leaving the boys with their last walk until we came home. When we walked through our front door, the boys were chilling out, our home was spotless, and she even washed the bedding. I can recommend Sharon with 100% certainty that your pets will be in great hands. Thanks Sharon for everything.
Jaclyn was a wonderful sitter for our dog Tucker! She was always quick to respond to communications, she was easy-going and excited to sit with Tucker, she shared updates (with pictures) while we were away, and she left our house cleaner than when we left - she even ran the dishwasher, which we forgot to do before we left! She and Tucker bonded immediately, and when we returned home it was clear that he had a great time with Jaclyn. We can't recommend her highly enough!
I can’t say enough good things about Felicia! She was willing to come over ahead of time so we could meet her. Lele took an instant liking to her (and I think it was mutual).😁 Felicia showed up on time, checked in on a regular basis while I was away, and sent photos of Lele, too. I tend to over prepare, and Felicia was accepting of that and helped me feel okay about my preparation and absence. I felt very comfortable leaving, knowing the most important thing, Lele, was well taken care of. This is my first time using zeewoi, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Felicia far exceeded all of my hopes and expectations. I would absolutely love to have Felicia come back again!
I am so glad that my cat, Duque, and I met Sharon! She is a wonderful person, very kind with pets, thorough with house care and communicative. Sharon's cleaning (and brownies!) went above and beyond and my cat did not seem to have missed me much when I got home. I recommend Sharon if she applies for your sit and we hope to welcome her back to our home one day.
Julie and Adrian were ideal pet and house sitters. Julie and Damian are very friendly and made sure to go over details and ask questions when they arrived. We came home to very happy and contented pets. Our dog and cat clearly got lots of love and attention (also clear from the great photos that Julie and Adrian sent us). The house was immaculate when we came home. We could not ask for better, more trusted, house sitters.
Although they are experienced pet sitters this was their first sit with zeewoi and they were wonderful. Jyoti (our cat) was completely at ease and spent plenty of time on their laps. The chickens were well looked after and they managed the broody one efficiently. Excellent communication before and during the house sit. They followed our detailed instructions conscientiously and left the house clean and tidy. They cooked a meal for us on our return and we enjoyed getting to know them. We would welcome them back any time and highly recommend them for future sits.
Lea was so wonderful, we highly recommend her. She was friendly and communicative throughout, sending us daily updates and photos. We returned back to a beautifully cleaned house and a very happy cat, we are so grateful- she was an absolute delight

The most affordable daycare in the area and open long hours, which is super nice. However, I do have to give my dog a mini-bath every time he comes home from daycare because he comes home smelling like pee. I don’t know what it is about …
Amending my review - love the staff here and the price is good for the area, but literally *every* time I pick up my dog after a daycare day he wreaks of urine. We have to set aside time to wash him off, every time. He goes to another daycare as well and never smells after. My guess is that dogs urinate in the room where they're kept, and instead of promptly cleaning it up the dogs are allowed to run around in it. Very frustrating. Once we are done with our days here we will unfortunately not be utilizing this location any longer.
We just had our first grooming experience at City Dogs and everything was great! Alex and Anna at the front desk were super friendly by phone and in-person, and definitely put me at ease leaving my pup there for the first time. It was surprisingly easy to get a same week appointment, which was a nice perk. I am happy to have found a new neighborhood groomer after our previous one moved across town.
We are brand new to DC, and I was very nervous about choosing a new groomer for my great Pyrenees. They have a ton of fur and are massive. Gigi nailed it! My girl looks gorgeous, and she was delighted with the entire experience. 😄 …
This is my second time going to city dog to get my Doodle mix Bailey (1YRS 60lbs) groomed. Bailey was cut by Steffano who was a pleasure to work with and did an amazing job consulting me on the best cut for her. I loved the way the cut came out. I am highly satisfied and also I think Bailey enjoyed the experience as well. The cost for the cut totaled out to be $150. Including a $50 Doodle charge. Great service!
My furry kid’s first day was amazing! We felt so welcomed, especially seeing his personal ‘Welcome’ sign. The staff were patience, friendly and attentive, all the qualities my senior dog needs. I truly appreciated the video update of my pup- to see that he didn’t appear anxious and was very intrigued. I’m excited for my pup to join the City Dog family!
Gigi does an amazing job thank you so much. Very beautiful cut Opie looks very handsome and she was very patient with my husband and me :) as Opie gets nervous and we do too! Thank you City Dogs!
This is my first dog and her first grooming experience. I was very excited for her. However, when I got home to see her I cried. She looked horrible. All her beautiful fir on her face was gone. Her hair was frizzy, dry and wild. The cut looked very unfinished and uneven even though all we asked for was a trim. The groomer cut too close on her nose and created a cut/irritation. She’s been scratching at it ever since. Not to mention one of her paws is still sharp. I’m not only dissatisfied but I feel guilty for Putting her through this. I’ve wasted money before and can get over that but my baby is looking bad right now. I haven’t gone there to complain or argue…. Even though I’m angry and sad. What’s done is done. She will not be returning for a grooming experience. I’ve seen better work at petco. If you believe me check out the before & after pics……
Pernell at City Dogs H St NE did (another) fantastic job grooming our 60 lb. F1 Goldendoodle. She’s got curls for days and we always seem to let it go too long between cuts, but no need to get nervous of a buzz cut with Pernell. They really took care to treat her with detangling solution and I’m so grateful. She came out looking perfect! Thank you!
THE absolute worst dog boarding place I've ever experienced in my entire life (and I'm not even being the least bit dramatic). There are honestly not enough words to describe how frustrating this experience was. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the nastiest attitude at 9 a.m. When I tried to explain that my dog is a little anxious around new people, I was once again met with the distasteful attitude of the female front desk worker. My dog is a rescue who was abused before she got to me, so OF COURSE she's going to be nervous around new people. I was so irritated when I left the store, and then I was called not even 10 minutes after I left to come back and get my dog due to her anxiety. I've moved around a lot, so I have used numerous boarding places that were FAR more professional and understanding. I will be sure to let anyone know to PLEASE stay clear of City Dogs H Street if you have any sense or even any care for the well-being of your pet in the slightest. Again, let me reinforce that this was THE WORST boarding place I have ever experienced in my entire life, and I am so vexed that I even wasted my time with this horrendous "dog day care facility." *To clarify, Luna has never exhibited any aggressive behavior towards dogs ever. As I've stated before, having lived in various cities, I've utilized many dog care facilities and Luna has never had a problem. It just further affirms that the unorganized atmosphere was just not beneficial for my anxious dog.
I recently boarded my dog at Atlas Doghouse, and it was a fantastic experience. The owners are incredibly friendly and experienced, which put me at ease right away. The staff took great care of my dog, making sure she had plenty of playtime …
I highly recommend Thomas and his training services. I did three sessions with him to get my dog to stop barking and not be as reactive on leash (my puppy just really really wants to say hi and when he can't he gets frustrated). After one session, my dog's barking was drastically reduced. And I recently had to go out of town for work and my 70+ year old parents came out to watch him. I was very worried he would drag them (he knocked my mom over before) but he was a total gentleman. He's not perfect yet when he sees other dogs on leash but he is miles beyond when I first called Thomas. They said he was much much easier to walk and I too have noticed marked improvement. I am so thankful.
If you’re searching for an exceptional doggy daycare, look no further than Atlas Dog House in Navy Yard. This facility is a game-changer for pet care, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. The owner, Danny, and his staff are simply outstanding. Danny’s passion for dogs is evident in every detail of the facility, and his warm, reassuring demeanor has made a world of difference for our pup Bentley. The staff at Atlas Dog House are not only professional and attentive but also incredibly empathetic. They took the time to understand Bentley’s needs, ensuring he felt safe and comfortable in a new environment. It’s clear that they genuinely care about each dog's well-being, a noticeable and welcome change from previous experiences at doggy daycares in the neighborhood. The facility itself is brand new and top-notch—spotless, spacious, and designed with the dogs' happiness and safety in mind. Bentley came home happy and tired after a day of play, and that speaks volumes about the care and attention he receives. If you’re looking for a place where your dog will be treated like family, Atlas Dog House is the answer. Huge thanks to Danny and his fantastic team for providing such a wonderful environment for Bentley and all the other dogs. We couldn’t be happier!
I got fired because I had to pick my son up. I stepped out of the room because it was an emergency and I had no type of communication with the front desk. On top of that they messed the schedule up and made it seem like it was my fault. Nobody was scheduled to come in after me. So even if I didnt have to pick my son up early for an emergency there was nobody to come in after me and I still had to pick him up regardless They like to blame employees for their mistakes. I feel wrongly fired. Its like if we don’t care about the dogs and trying to be perfect we get fired. Great job ! Unpredictable management.
We are in the DC area temporarily and wanted a place where our pup Zoey could play with other pups. Atlas took excellent care of her. Highly recommended!!
Just opened. Looking forward to it looking more aesthetically pleasing and dog friendly with merchandise to purchase for owners and for dogs to play with while in care. I find it to be cold not comforting. Again it just opened a week ago. However the grand opening left much to be desired after a six month marketing launch. Beat wishes!
My and my furbaby love this place. The staff are very friendly and they interact with the pups which I love! We've found the perfect Daycare!
I can't speak more highly of this facility. The staff are warm and welcoming and give owners peace of mind over the pup! I couldn't recommend this daycare/boarding facility more.
The best place for your dog!
Jonathan took care of my two dogs for a whole month while I had to leave the country. It was the second time that he helped me out with my pups and - as the first time - he did an amazing job and I could not have ask for more. He is …
Jonathan is the absolute best! Both of our rescue dogs instantly adored him. We adopted our newest rescue, 2 year old, Stanley in October after he came into the rescue as an abuse/neglect case. Although he is the sweetest boy, he suffers …
Jonathan is a life saver! He is great with my rambunctious puppy and always prompt and professional. I highly recommend his services.
