Michael
This was really enjoyable House sit for Martin and I.
Michael and Pepe are kind and considerate people who made us very welcome and at ease. We had good communication prior to sit, all chatting on the phone about three weeks before sit started. We really enjoyed being invited to stay overnight, good spending a little time getting acquainted and we enjoyed a super meal together. Also was good for run through on a few things such as a bit of watering, and a few household appliances etc , before they left for family holiday in Suffolk. Dombey was a lovely cat and we both got very attached to him during our stay, he was always around when we at the house, sleeping in various parts of the garden, he had a cat flap but liked us to open door for him if we were about, he soon had us trained! He was effectionate and loved his head and chin rubs. The home is in a beautiful location about five mile from Hastings, and easy access to East Sussex coast. We would like to thank Michael and Pepe for inviting us to sit for them and Dombey. We would highly recommend this pet sit, you will have a lovely experience.

Ann
Ann is a wonderful hostess and went above and beyond to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible! She invited us to come to her place the afternoon before she left and showed us around in her beautiful home. We also went on Stanley's and Renzo's afternoon walk together and she showed us a very pretty way along the Avon, through the lovely village of Luddington and along fields and meadows. What a picturesque area she lives in! At the end of the day we felt perfectly well prepared for sitting her two sweet Golden Retrievers.Oh - and we really appreciated the dinner Ann cooked us!
We had a very nice week sitting Stanley and Renzo. The boys are early risers and will let you know when it's time for their breakfast ;) they have both relaxed characters and are easy going. Still I'd say a bit of experience is helpful to handle them well as they are both strong dogs with minds of their own (albeit with very kind minds). During walks Stan loves to push forward and go exploring whereas Ren is rather on the leisurely side. At home they both love to be near you. We enjoyed their company and the comfort of Ann's outstandingly beautiful home - I just loved her style and the guest bed is the most comfortable thing (the mattress as well as the duvet are a dream!)
Thank you, Ann, for having us and for making our stay such a nice experience!

Kyla
It's rare to find hosts who will treat you as well as Kyla and Vince will. They went above and beyond in making me feel welcome and appreciated; they left me a stack of books based on my interests and single-player board games, and they even told me where to stand in their driveway so I could catch a glimpse of a Cape Canaveral rocket launch (it's teeny tiny from that far away, but still SO cool). They encouraged me to enjoy the food and beverages in the house, and they were very responsive via text while they were away. Keeping in touch with them was a huge part of what made the sit so enjoyable!

Now, onto the cute cats! Even though there are four of them, it never felt overwhelming. Bernard and Melissa are the kittens, but they're older kittens, more like in the teenager stage. They're full of energy and will let you pick them up and snuggle them before they squirm away. Bernard is the rebel; she loved to test my boundaries and was extremely inquisitive, following me everywhere and checking out anything I was looking at. Despite her rebelliousness (maybe because of it?) she became my favorite. Her antics always made me laugh. Melissa is the more mild-mannered kitten, very sweet and obedient. You can count on her to give you snuggles anytime you need it.

Kai is the cat who needs medication, and administering it was simple. He is a gentle panther, and he would eat the medicine out of my hands after it was stuffed into a pill pocket. He is a bit shy and takes some time to warm up to you. Sometimes, he would hide in his cat tree when it was time for his medication, but he never refused it from me. Quite frequently, he would meow and sit at his door, wanting my attention. He sometimes let me pet him, but I think, mostly, he just likes for someone to sit in the room with him when he cries like that.

Millie is truly the queen bee. She is a sassy, chatty lady. She will meow and meow when she wants something, and occasionally, jump up and snuggle with you, demanding pets. Sometimes, if I wasn't giving her food quickly enough for her liking, she would hiss at me, but she never tried to scratch. In fact, none of the cats tried to scratch me. The kittens are very good about not using their claws when they play.

And yes—the backyard is as amazing as the photos look. I've never been an outdoorsy/pool person. But while I was there, I hung out in the backyard all the time and swam every day! It felt like I was vacationing at a resort. One of my favorite things was swimming in the pool and glancing up to see the kittens hanging out in their window hammocks watching me.

Kyla and Vince: Thanks a million for being such thoughtful, caring hosts. I miss your cats already.
