This was the first experience of Switzerland for our children, and it could not have been a better one!

We had excellent communication with Sidonie and Eric before the sit, and we were super-impressed with how much thought and effort they put into making sure that the stay would be simple and comfortable for us. Just a few examples of this kind-heartedness (there were too many to list them all): Eric picked us up from the local train station; Sidonie borrowed car booster seats for our children from a neighbour; we had space to put our clothes; lots of advice about the local area.

Raki went with Sidonie and Eric on their trip, but we could tell from spending a short time with him that he is a very loving and gentle dog. Jamie (probably the most famous Cocker Spaniel in the village) is brilliant - he loves to be around people and is always ready for fun, but he'll also quite happily take things easy and hang out with you. He's well-trained and we found him extremely easy to care for. Jamie loves a trip out in the car, and he joined us on all of our outings. He became another member of our family.

Jamie loves his walks - and we were spoiled for choice with lots of excellent options available right from the front door. Head in one direction and you will quickly reach a path along the river. Head the other way, and you'll soon be wandering through stunning forests. Although the house is in a village, and not far away from Zurich, we found it quite amazing at how easy it was to feel a sense of being surrounded by nature.

Sidonie and Eric live in a spacious, modern, well-equipped and comfortable house. It was absolutely spotless and a joy to spend time in. We had some warm, sunny days, and made good use of the hammock. When the temperatures increased, we were introduced to our other house-sit pet - Suze woke up from her hibernation. Suze has a large enclosure and is the ultimate low-maintenance pet.

We didn't feel the need to venture far from Sidonie and Eric's place - there is so much to enjoy nearby. But had the mood taken us, Mount Rigi and Mount Pilatus would have been easy day-trips, and Jamie would happily have tagged along.

I could go on and on and on about how wonderful this experience was for our family. We took many happy memories away with us, and feel extremely fortunate to have met Sidonie and Eric. Many thanks from us all to Sidonie and Eric!
