Karen and Dan are very nice people and really made us feel welcomed and at home. They have a lovely house and garden. Their dogs Tilley and Maedel are very well behaved both on and off the lead and a joy to spend time with. There are some nice walks straight from the house with spectacular views over the river and town. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ludlow.
We had a great sit in W. Asheville! We visited the NC Farmers Market and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors at the NC Arboretum. Nearby local restaurants provided some yummy meals. Josh was very responsive and quick to answer any questions. His home is comfortable, clean and has everything you need for a stay. Riley is a sweetheart to hang out with! She's very affectionate and loves to snuggle. Riley went with us on several hikes along the French Broad River and also enjoyed a trip to a local winery! She was on her best behavior all weekend. This is an A+ sit!
Zoe is super sweet and low-maintenance. Karl and Nita are warm and welcoming. Their home and property are so picturesque and relaxing, there's really no reason to venture out much. Probably my favourite thing to do was walk out on the dock, sit in a hammock chair, and watch the light play on the water. Highly recommended!
Caring for Largo and Sabinka was an absolute pleasure. We were also welcomed warmly by the hosts and everything worked out fantastically well. Villars sur Ollon is a really nice town, lots to do (outdoorsy stuff) and the house is within walking distance. For our first housesitting experience I think we hit the jackpot!
I so loved taking care of these 2 lovely ladies. They are calm, curious, and sweet. Melodee is very organized and detailed. I do not mean detailed in the way of many rules for the cats or home needs. I mean it in the way of a binder with tabs of home items with instruction manuals. Anything needed was at my fingertips. This helps the host not having to be interrupted on their vacation. The care of the cats and home needs were very simple. It was very easy to work remotely there and the cats would take turns to hop on the chair beside me for pets and little chats. The highlight of this sit is the spectacular back yard. This desert landscape is currently full of blooming cacti with a peaceful mountain view is amazing both at sunrise and sunset is breathtaking. Melodee is a gifted artist and has created a sanctuary. Communication was great all around before and during the sit. I loved seeing photos of her adventures! I would love to return in the future.
