Candance seemed great - kept in touch and did lots of communication. House looked fabulous when we returned so kept everything as is. I think our dogs were probably a little higher energy than Candance preferred but loved on them as far as I can tell :) Would recommend.
I had a great time here! The house is beautiful and Richmond is an amazing area to spend your time with lots of parks nearby. Laura was lovely and made a point to make sure I was comfortable and put sticky notes on each area so I knew where to find everything, which was super helpful. This was Maple’s first sit so the first few days she was a little unsure of me but by the end we were having lots of fun, days out and bed time cuddles. She’s an absolutely sweetheart and loves saying hi to everyone on the street. She’s very typical of golden retriever behaviour - which I love! Milo was an absolute sweetheart too and loved pets. He was a little purring machine and a joy to be around! This was a great sit and I would recommend it to anyone interested!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in East Witton with Fudge. As other sitters have said, Andrew and Julia are welcoming and appreciative and Fudge is so eager to please and was always ready for her walks. She is so well behaved and a pleasure to care for. The cottage and village are ‘picture postcard’ complete with friendly locals. We were very comfortable in their beautiful home and especially enjoyed our time in the conservatory taking in the fabulous views and watching the antics of the birds on the feeders. Communication was excellent as their plans continually changed due to Covid travel restrictions, but we got there in the end and it was well worth the wait! Best Wishes Lynne and Graham
A real home from home! Charlie and Davina are a really lovely and very generous couple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their comfortable home tending the chickens and collecting the produce from the vege garden. We would love to return! Thank you both.
This is a 10-star gig!! I heartily second all the positive comments of previous reviewers. Marybeth and Bryan are super friendly and welcoming, they made me feel right at home straight away. They graciously allowed me to arrive early and stay a full day (2 extra nights) after they returned to make my onward travel arrangements easier and cheaper. Their house is very nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. A well-organized but relaxed family home. The lanai is a wonderful place to spend your time – I loved sitting out there with the dogs (Patches up beside me, Bella on the floor close by) watching the birds out by the canal and the palm trees sway in the wind. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe, and the house is quite close to beaches and nature reserves e.g. on Sanibel Island. But, as previous sitters have mentioned, the superstars of the sit are the pets. Patches and Bella are so well-trained and easy to look after. I have never interacted with a Cane Corso before and was very impressed with the ‘Gentle Giant’ Bella and her ‘brother’ Patches who has the personality to compensate for his size (I don’t think he has any idea he is not as big as her!). I also looked after Lani, their daughter Bethany’s dog, part of the time. Lani is a typically exuberant 10-month-old Labrador Retriever. She is trying very hard to be ‘all grown up’ like the other two but, understandably, forgets at times, especially when some excitement is at hand. She is delightful and I am sure she will grow up to be as well-behaved as the other two. The cat, Holio, is…. a typical cat. He kept to himself a lot of the time coming down to visit at feed time only to (usually) turn his nose up at the offered snack. It was easy to feed the turtle and fish, I was surprised how greedy Marathon was – I didn’t realize turtles are such voracious eaters. Overall, I highly recommend this sit. I would be delighted to have the opportunity to return if they need a sitter again next year. I truly enjoyed getting to know Marybeth and Bryan, they are great people, very energetic and inspiring.
Rachel and Neil were incredibly amazing hosts! From perfectly clear instructions to a spotless house, you wouldn't tell the difference between this petsit an Airbnb. The house was spacious and comfortable, and it has everything anyone would need. The kitchen had everything anyone would need for cooking. tvs upstairs and downstairs. Incredibly fast and reliable wifi in case you work from home. A spacious beautiful garden where you relax in the evenings. And of course the best for last, Larry and Mabel! Some amazing playful dogs who will welcome you with exitment and happiness every time you come back home. They are both easy going and cuddly, they love to be near humans so you will have them around you the whole time. When eating, every bite you take Mabel will observe you carefully in the cutest way possible and you will have no choice but to share some with her haha. Larry is a little bit more reserved at the beiginning but as he warms up to you he will be the sweetest dog you will meet! Overall this was an amazing sit and we look forward to sitting for them again!!
Jennifer and Ken are such special people and they made me feel so welcome immediately after arriving. They gave me a thorough run-down of the house and Sam duties... and let's just talk about Sam. He is THE biggest love bug. I was told he probably wouldn't cuddle but I was definitely honored when he climbed up right next to me in bed and decided that was a good place to chill. I miss him terribly and can't wait to see him and his humans again soon!
