Thank you to Katie and Ryan for trusting us to look after their home and the gorgeous 3 kitties! This sit was a little different to usual for me as my friend and cat-lover Giulia from the UK came to help look after their indoor kittens. This was a new experience for Giulia who wanted to try out house sitting but did not want this first experience to be solo, so we combined this with her visit to Fort Collins. We really appreciated Katie and Ryan’s understanding of this! Giulia was home during the day so was kept in an abundance of company with the cats. Tico in particular was her constant side-kick (bedroom, bathroom, everywhere!) Tico is very social, active and engaged and loves to play with the feather/mouse wands before spending the rest of the day chilling, on your lap/legs ideally. He has a lot of character and we had many conversations with him, he will speak back and we are certain he understood us! Moki is adorable. He suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia which means he tremors when walking but it doesn’t affect him otherwise, his walk just adds to the cuteness. He is also very playful and became Giulia’s baby. Him and Tico are close buddies so the two would often be found sleeping curled up together, so sweet. Kiwi is a distinguished older lady who is affectionate and a real calming presence. She likes her own space so largely kept to herself during the day but would always be there with us in the evenings when having dinner or watching tv. She spent the most time with me and was my companion when working from home, I miss her! The three cats together were really such a delight, they are easy-going and their quirks are so funny meaning you will not be short of entertainment with them around. They have such different personalities and are very curious to watch you and get to know you, we felt we got to know them well. Katie and Ryan are two generous and lovely people, we loved their mentality on living life and they made Giulia and I feel very welcome. They also have a gorgeous home which was very cosy especially during the snowfall. We really recommend this housesit, the cats are awesome! We had a fabulous time watching Alfie and Scout! We met Christina and the dogs prior to the sit so they were familiar with us and we knew their routines. The communication from start to finish was fantastic, with detailed printouts of routines, schedules and other details, so everything went incredibly smoothly. Alfie has that sweet puppy energy and loves spotting wildlife. Scout is calm and even keeled and the two dogs together are the best of friends. The house and grounds are quite special and the dogs' calming demeanor after dinner really sets the tone for getting a wonderful night's sleep. Christina and Colin are kind, friendly and welcoming and we'd happily sit again if available!
Lucy & Nick are lovely and very helpful. They left us thorough guidance on the dogs routine and requirements which were easy to follow. We instantly loved the dogs and how much energy they all have! Willow is a calm gentle soul who loves to lay and chill. Daisy is a sweet natured dog who has so much energy and loves to be near you & getting stroked. Olive is the cutest little puppy who is very bouncy and playful, she constantly keeps you on your toes so look out for what she’s attempting to chew on haha (sticks, leaves, balls & even the flowers she’s such cute & silly pup). And finally Luna, we both created a special bond with Luna, she is such a calm and cuddly dog who would like your attention and affection whenever you are near! We really enjoyed their routine and especially loved running around with them in the paddock! Make sure you’re up for lots of walks, runs and fun roughly 4 times a day! A big thank you to Lucy & Nick for having us in their gorgeous home and for trusting us with their four gorgeous Labs!
Sitting Pirate and Sandy was a joy. We made a great team whether out walking, taking a drive or just hanging out together on the back veranda or on the couch. The house was well provisioned with all the appliances and technology not to mention the food. The use of the car was fantastic making it easy to access both services and local dog walking areas and local sites. All in all I had fun and I think the dogs did as well.
What an absolutely beautiful home, Daryl and Peter have! Their pets were So sweet and incredibly funny. They were easy to care for and a delight to be around. Nashville is an amazing city but I enjoyed their area of East Nashville even more! Some pretty epic restaurants were in walking distance of their home. We would love to stay here again in the future, if they would have us!
I had a great time sitting for Brigitte’s beautiful home, kitties, and bird! Leo & Nicholas are two of the sweetest cats I’ve met and I loved sitting outside on the patio listening to Piccolo sing. La Jolla Shores is an amazing area and I really enjoyed being able to use the bikes to go to the beach. I would definitely come back!
