I enjoyed it very much to look after lovley, purry Boi and stay at Janet’s beautiful house with its lovely garden. Boi is such a charming little guy who has his cute ways to let you know whenever he needs something. Also, the house with its sea view is in a perfect spot to go swimming and exploring the area. I could even use Janet’s bike which was great. Thank you so much and all the best for you and Boi!
Our sit at Eibhilin’s was wonderful. Pablo & Blu are the sweetest dogs - they will love you unconditionally and warm to you like they’ve known you their whole lives. Looking after Blu and helping him go to the bathroom was no problem at all; he is remarkably patient and seems to understand that you are helping him. Eibhilin and her partner Bill are highly communicative and accommodating, and ensured our sit was perfect from start to finish. Their home is beautiful and furnished with every amenity we could’ve asked for. It is situated in a small village with cafés, a few supermarkets, a laundrette and restaurants, as well as being only a 5 minute drive from Ericeira where we found everything else we could’ve needed. Eibhilin also went above and beyond to give us recommendations for some great places to try out! As our stay was in the winter we didn’t get to experience much of the sunny coastal life but imagine at the height of summer it’s bustling and beautiful in the warm weather. The area is highly accommodating to tourists and we could easily get by speaking English, whilst having fun learning some basic Portuguese with the help of locals! There are plenty of scenic walks nearby and areas to explore - there is certainly no shortage of remarkable coastal views. All in all, our sit was a highly enjoyable experience and we came away with only good things to say. We look forward to staying in touch and hopefully being back soon! Many thanks.

Housesitting for Meghan and Shaun was an absolute pleasure! In addition to providing a detailed set of instructions, Meghan also gave me a thorough tour of their home immediately before leaving for their trip. During the housesit, Meghan was quick-to-respond to any questions or comments I had. She also appreciated daily photos and updates about the kitties. Alice and Ruth were easy kitties to love. Both kitties were very social, appreciating lots of pets and rubs. Both enjoyed sitting on my lap and snuggling together at night. With her long fur, Ruth appreciated frequent brushes. With her food obsession, Alice appreciated the occasional treat. I fed the kitties twice a day. As the kitties went to the bathroom outdoors (they had indoor/outdoor access and could come'n'go at their own leisure), there was no litter box to clean. Easy peasy! Meghan and Shaun live in a lovely home. They are just a few blocks away from The Arboretum, a great place for a daily walk. The home is a short walk from both downtown and Fairhaven, and loads of trails are within a short drive. Thank you so much, Meghan and Shaun, for sharing your kitties with me. I would love to housesit for you again!
Julia's home and garden is beautiful, and her two cats are lovely - if a little shy at first! However, after spending time with them they soon became my friends! The garden is amazing, and luckily I was there during the September heatwave to enjoy it! The location is great, with a frequent bus that will take you up to Muswell Hill and a great variety of shops. I thoroughly enjoyed looking after Julia's cats, garden and home and would highly recommend to others!
It was so hard to leave this housesit! The chickens were so easy to take care of, Cynthia has created the best chicken run and care system we have ever seen. (And we come from a farming background!) Margo was very entertaining and super easy to take care of as well. Ranger absolutely stole our hearts. He is such a good dog and a great buddy to have around. He will make you feel like you are his new family. The guesthouse is very comfortable, we really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the screened-in porch. We had the entire month of July there and it definitely felt like home. As the previous review mentions, the hardest part about this housesit is needing to leave! Thank you to Cynthia, Ranger, Margo, chickens and the family for opening your home to us!
