Before I got to stay with Walter, Banjo and Cottage Cheese I was welcomed by Charlotte, Dreux and Hope with a delightful dinner where we got to know each other a little bit. They are wonderful people and it was a joy being able to get to know them ahead of spending some time with their pets. Their home is cozy and welcoming and it is situated in a peaceful and quiet area, yet still close to lovely towns and amazing hikes with gorgeous views of the valley. I had a wonderful time hanging out with Walter, a cuddle monster who loves attention. Banjo and Cottage Cheese were more independent but they would still request a healthy dose of pets to top them up for the day. They require insulin twice a day but that was a very easy feat since they're friendly and are used to their routine. Charlotte's family lives nearby and they're also very friendly and welcoming people available for any questions, concerns or emergencies. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway, lovely pet companions and people, amazing nature hikes and trails, and beautifully quaint small towns.
We had a nice weekend at Emily and Ryan’s place in Phoenix. Their home is accommodating and comfortable. Communications were clear and concise - very easy to follow. Russell’s a great pooch - very easy going - absolutely no trouble at all! We enjoyed our stay in town!
Wonderful people and beautiful property. The dogs were so loving and horses made me laugh. It was an honor to house sit here.
Kate and Gary are lovely people with a nice home in a safe, beautiful area of North Vancouver. They are just a short drive (or a moderate walk) away from some of Vancouvers most stunning trails and sights. Dash and Violet were so sweet and easy peasy to take care of. We especially loved how they warmed up to us more and more day by day. Highly recommend!
What an amazing sit with Siena and Cleo! First about Siena and Cleo: I had such an amazing time hanging out with these cute little girls. Siena is really immediately friendly with new people, and really loves to hang out with you, play and to have a cuddle on your lap. (It turns out she is one of those cats who can just naturally fetch so that was a lot of fun.) She has a lot of energy and is really the quintessential social, friendly cat. However, Cleo is actually just as amazing which I wanted to mention because she is a little nervous with new people -- but once she has warmed up to you she is extremely sweet, affectionate and gentle. What I did was the first day I was there, I would just go over to her, let her sniff my finger and put a couple of treats in front of her. After about a day, she seemed like she'd be open to a pat so I patted her -- for the next couple of days she was really sweet and friendly (though especially at mealtimes!) though still could get a little nervous on the top floor. (There are fewer spaces to run away up there so I think that's why.) After about three days in total though, she was really completely fine with me and also wanted to hang out and sit with you. Cleo in particular really enjoyed being brushed, so once she is comfortable that's a nice bonding activity. Siena can get a little jealous when Cleo is getting attention, so just be sure to also give her attention so she doesn't feel left out! Emily was really kind and helpful throughout the sit, and always responded really promptly when I had any questions. Everything was clear and provided which made for a really smooth sit. The house is really nice and well set up. (There is a really great variety of spices if you like to use those when cooking!) I also liked the area, it's quiet and leafy but really easy to get into central Cambridge, which is a great place to explore. Walking to the centre also takes you through Jesus Green, which is a really lovely walk. (That's where a lot of the punting starts, which I would really recommend to anyone coming to Cambridge.) There are at least two (that I found,) stores closeby for stocking up on food, so very convenient. I would 100% recommend this sit and would love to come back at some point to spend more time with Cleo and Siena! Thank you so much Emily for inviting me to hang out with your girls.
It was pleasure to housesit for Leah’s home and her dog Bennie! We hope to do it again! Pet: Bennie is an exceptionally loving and well behaved dog who absolutely loves to be with people. He is a very good boy on walks and playing so well with other dogs at the dog park. We will miss him dearly! Owner: Leah is a kind, a great communicator and a very generous host who made us feel right at home and made special accommodations for our needs. Home: Lovely walkable location near all kinds of shops, restaurants, hiking trails and all that Bend has to offer. Wonderfully comfortable townhome with an office space which was perfect for our needs and fenced yard and patio where we enjoyed the sunshine and playtime with Bennie.
