Alyson was absolutely fantastic in all respects... first and foremost, taking excellent care of Sadie the Lab: regular walks and tons of love and attention. Sadie was happy to see us return, but it is clear that she is still hoping it will be Alyson the next time the front door opens! We loved meeting Alyson. She is warm, friendly, cheerful, and detail-oriented. She could not be more reliable, and that meant that we had a really relaxing vacation knowing that both Sadie and the house were in excellent hands. She went above and beyond our expectations by washing the sheets and remaking the bed, washing and rehanging all the towels and dishtowels she used during her stay, and in general leaving the house looking as if no one had been here at all. I don't think we've ever returned from a trip to a house so neat. (We would have been happy to do the sheets and towels ourselves upon return, something we had told Alyson before we left.) We really hope Alyson will want to stay again; we will certainly be inviting her!
Kealoha and George were great. Mitzi adjusted fairly quickly to them. Mitzi is shy and takes time to warm up to new people. They sent daily updates and photos, so I could feel comfortable with the sit.
This was my first time with zeewoi and I was so very lucky to have Wendy. She was very reassuring and experienced, and I never doubted for a moment I had struck GOLD. Before the sit, she gave me so much time and help and we had a long walk with Nelson, so that when the time came, the handover was seamless and easy. During the sit, Wendy sent photos (and some beautiful portraits) and news and just dealt with everything in her stride...plumbers, our children popping back, covid, questions from us etc Above all, Wendy is an extremely easy person to get along with and a highly responsible and organised sitter. Nelson clearly loved her and she adapted herself to him so I doubt he even noticed we were gone. The house too was just as we left it (I suspect even cleaner ....!) and nothing is out of place. It was so lovely to walk through the door and find the house warm, supper cooked, a happy dog, plants all still alive...! This has been a wonderful first time experience, thank you Wendy!
