Kelly was welcoming and friendly. She showed us around, which was really nice. Dogs were also very nice and pacient, especially with out two small children. The apartment itself is spacious and nice. But there were dog hair lying everywhere, flying in the air, we had them all over our clothes and also in food. Vacuum cleaner was broken, so we couldn't use it. Mop cheap, so couldn't either mop the floor properly. Shortly after our arrival, Kelly showed us kitchen cabinet door, which were not in good working order, she complained about them. My partner fixed one, but the others literally come apart in his hand ones he just touched the hinge, as he was trying to tighten them up. There were no actuall tools to fix them properly. Although they were not working well, Kelly is blaming us for breaking them and wants to charge us for fixing the whole door by a technician. We don't feel that's right and fair at all. Kelly also found marks on a piano, which she is saying that were not there before and we are in title to pay for fixing it. We are not aware of any moment, we would demage piano like this. She expects us to pay minimum of 200€. Apart from these events, which made us feel very unconfortable, our stay was fine.
It was truly a joy to sit for Marcy, Dave and her beautiful family. Their home is situated in what could be described as "living in a fairtale". Surrounded by lush forest, magical trails, birds and wildlife and gorgeous views of the rugged mountain range- while sitting atop a lovely clearing with loads of sunshine, a beautiful garden with fresh produce that I was welcomed to help myself to and coos from the hens. With both of our schedules hitting a tiny speedbump (their trying to avoid the first summer weekend traffic ((and it was crazy)) and my
Amber was a very welcoming host. She has everything that we needed to know written out for reference which we appreciated. Her condo was very quiet, modern and has gorgeous views of downtown Calgary. The neighborhood is full of interesting shops, restaurants, near river walking paths and parks. Her pets are all very loving, friendly and kind. You can tell that they have been well cared for and loved. Fergus is the typical happy Golden Retriever with a loving, friendly disposition who doesn't have a mean bone in his body. We took him on both off leash runs and walks around the neighborhood daily. There wasn't any difficulty getting him to come back to us at the off leash parks. The cats, Clive and Blue were so sweet. They'd sit near us every morning when we had our coffee and were often at the door welcoming us when we returned with Fergus from a walk. I enjoyed the house sit and would house sit for Amber again.
Wallis was the most welcoming and pleasant host. She made us feel right at home. The guidance for Boomer was clear and easy and this dog is a pure delight. Both Wallis and Boomer are pure love and we really enjoyed this sit. I highly recommend this sit if you have the opportunity. Allison and I absolutely fell in love.
