I am very glad to have met Regan and Mark and am thankful to them for caring for my cat Chef while I was out of town. They are a very down to earth and friendly couple. They asked great questions about the area, and I could tell they were experienced with animals. Chef was a little overwhelmed with guests at first, but he warmed up to them quickly.
They checked in and sent me a pic of Chef while I was gone, looking very mellow. When I got back, everything was in order. They had washed the dishes and linens (it was so nice coming home to a clean house after driving all day!), and even left a little something to remember them by. Best of all, Chef was happy and relaxed, and I could tell he had gotten love and attention while I was gone which is just what I wanted. I would highly recommend Regan and Mark, they are welcome back anytime!

Lyn
House-sitting for Lyn in Lavenham for a month was a lovely experience! Benny is a sweet little dog and the cats Ginger and Sparty are very cuddly - all very low-maintenance and easy to care for. We also helped Lyn out by briefly checking in with her elderly mother living next door once every day or two, just to ensure she was doing alright. Her mother is a lovely and very witty lady that made us laugh a lot and we enjoyed chatting with her! It was also a pleasure to get to know Lyn’s son, Jack, who would stay over once a week or so to work from his home office out the back. He is very lovely and welcoming and will help you with anything you need.
Lyn’s house is a large, 14th century cottage practically in the center of town with a lot of notable history. Lavenham (where ‘Godric’s Hollow’ from Harry Potter was inspired!) offers a lot of beautiful walks and unique Tudor buildings, and from the town you can catch the local bus service to Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds or Colchester. Cambridge, Ipswitch & London are also easily accessible with public transport. We really enjoyed this peaceful, historic and pretty stay, and highly recommend sitting for Lyn 🙂

We had the most fantastic time doing the farm sit for Claudia and her family.
The family were so welcoming and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Claudia was extremely organised and communication was excellent. They also made sure we had all their contact numbers whist they were away. We had the opportunity to visit the farm before the sit and we were shown all the routines with the animals and shown what was required with the plants and vegetable plot. This made the sit go very smoothly. All the animals are so well trained which also helped greatly. Betty and Tura are the most wonderful, obedient and intelligent dogs. They were great company and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the them. Duco and Tommy the cats were very affectionate and playful and were also content doing their own thing. Luca is a lovely gentle cat who was a little more independent. The chickens and ducks were also very well trained, going in and out of the coop easily.
The farm is in the most wonderful setting in the mountains near Cangas de Onis. We stayed in the most gorgeous and comfortable cottage on the farm. It was so relaxing sitting on the balcony and admiring the views. There were also many other places to sit and relax around the farm. All with the most incredible outlook.
As Claudia mentions this is not your usual house sit. It is a working farm, with farm dogs and animals to be looked after that deserve and need attention. However, the animals are all so fantastic and well trained, it was such a pleasure to be there. We would highly recommend this sit and we would love to return there sometime soon.

Valerie
I had the immense privilege of staying in Val's luxury condo, across the street from the water in gorgeous White Rock, BC. I was thrilled to spend 3 1/2 weeks with Wallee, a charming character of a dog and Hunk, the most loving, chill cat I have ever met.

Val was thoroughly open in her communication beforehand and welcomed me to stay earlier or later than her dates of travel, if required. She was beyond generous in creating ease in my travel to and from her home. She had everything in place for me upon arrival so the handover was seamless. Being an experienced traveler, she anticipated anything I may need and had it at hand, including extra pet food, contact info for backup dog walkers, maps printed out for walks, as well as post-its with all of the details helpful to know about a home. The accommodation was fantastic, and is incredibly, professionally decorated (by Val). The main floor has a large guest room, including a workspace, and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, plus laundry, and upstairs is an open floor plan with a gourmet kitchen, complete with a huge island you can sit at to work, a dining room with eastern ocean views, living room with western ocean/sunset views and a powder room. Divine as well as comfortable. The internet speed was fantastic for me to use for my online video calls.

I had a blast walking Wallee on the beach at low tide, in the forest trails, or up the hill to his favourite coffee shop. The locals all recognize and love Wallee so he knows to stop so they can all admire him. He has a group of friends who meet in the courtyard behind the complex and he is playful and patient with them. He may bark at bigger dogs but he is never aggressive toward anyone. He has a special place in his heart for anyone who wants to notice his Batman collar or remark how cute he is. (Everyone!)

Hunk is the ideal cat, affectionate without being clingy. He enjoys a good snooze in the sun and is very patient while Wallee "plays" with him. He loves being brushed and we spent hours on the couch in the evening, so he could enjoy his quality time with me. Both pets like to sit on the couch when you do and I was open to them sleeping with me, as well. Both kept to their own space, so I wasn't crowded, which was very pleasant compared to some past experiences with my own pets!

I highly recommend Val and her fur babies although I have expressed that whenever I am back in Canada, I would like to come back for any future trips. It was a dream experience and I can't wait to see my friends again. :)

Bregje and Andy
We had such a lovely time looking after Casey. Bregje and Andy are amazing hosts and could not have been more accommodating. Casey was super easy to take care of and she is probably the best cat with kids that I’ve ever met. Thanks so much for having us!

Carol
We had a great house/pet sit at Carol's!
Carol was so welcoming and gave us a simple run through of her home and the dogs' routines. Frida & Coral welcomed us as well which was lovely.
The dogs were fun and friendly during our stay. They are pretty independent - doing their own thing - but definitely loved to cuddle. We went for a few walks with them in the nearby woods and parks as well as into and around the town. We also went out a couple of times on our own to check out the local shops & restaurants (Gladstone Brewing Co and Hot Chocolates).
Courtenay and surrounding town (Comox, Cumberland) are super friendly. It was a great experience all round.
