Such a pleasant experience from start to finish and I would love to sit for these sweet babies again! Lovely hosts!!
Nonie's home is a lovely place to hang your hat for a while. Her home is spacious, comfortable and surrounded by nature. It's on a retired golf course with a couple of ponds and other homes nicely spaced out. There are woods, paved paths and the old golf course to walk her two dogs. She has an adorable and sweet younger small poodle. Leo is an adorable little guy. Suki is an older Maltese mix who is clearly feeling her age (although she's still spry.) She can be lovely or very grumpy, angry and bossy. Nonie is working with the vet to find a suitable medication to mellow her out. Check with Nonie for more info regarding the doggies. She is a very nice person and communicates well when traveling (and at home, we had a lovely dinner with her the night before she left.) She responded quickly to all our questions while away. We would happily sit there again!
I had the absolute pleasure of house sitting for Aggie and Gus, the most elegant and friendly cats I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their charm is simply unmatched, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time taking care of them. Rebecca and Dave were incredibly friendly and kind . Their modern flat was a delight to stay in, offering all the comforts one could ask for. It truly felt like a home away from home. The entire house sitting experience was smooth and enjoyable, thanks to the lovely company of Aggie and Gus. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and would eagerly house sit for them again in the future.
We had a wonderful time at Jane and Simon’s, and getting to know Millie. We took Jane’s advice to be patient with Millie and let her come to us when she was ready. The first few weeks Millie stayed away from us but after some time she became a bit more curious and eventually very friendly and talkative. The house itself was very comfortable with everything you might need including a well equipped kitchen, the most incredible views of mountains, and the sea, and a lovely terrace to enjoy the views. We both work from home and found it comfortable enough to work from the dining table. The wifi wasn’t quite good enough for us both to make Zoom/Teams/Skype calls at the same time but the mobile coverage was very good so we were able to hotspot when needed. Jane and Simon settled us in really well with great communication both before and during the sit. They also kindly left us some welcome drinks in the fridge and some chilli in the freezer. The road up to the house is quite steep but you definitely get used to it after a few goes. We would absolutely recommend housesitting here and hope to return in the future :)
Pam welcomed us warmly and managed to explain all the details of house and pets clearly. Ocho and Puk are lovely companions, easy to care for. Ocho loves to sleep, either with You on the bed or in the Patio, on her big pillow. Puk likes walks, chasing chamois over nearby hills and behaves very well either on lead and off. Cave is comfortable, and off grid solar system is decent, with modern battery and wireless accountancy system counting all the power in and out, leaving no doubts on how much energy is available. Location is splendid, with famous historical sites, just few hills away from the beach and connected to outside world with beautiful paved roads. Recommended
Wonderful housesit in a great neighborhood with two adorable pups! Mister and Missy are super sweet and relaxed and live in a really nice house with fascinating architecture. Location is perfect for exploring Liverpool. The train to downtown is a short walk away and just past the station is the ocean with the wonderful Gormley sculptures. The owners are very nice and accommodating and the neighborhood of Crosby has everything you need. We're totally going to miss these sweet fur babies!
