Sitting for Claudia and Bob was a real pleasure. Their lovely home is in a gated community and set in a beautiful garden with lots of mature trees. The cats, Amber and Stella, are both sweet characters and a lot of fun to look after. Stella takes a while to warm up to you, but Amber will be in your lap in a second.
There are wonderful places to eat in Crystal River and other towns close by, and all sorts of activities are available. You'll be fortunate if you're invited to sit for this family and you'll enjoy every minute.

Connie and I spent 2 wonderful weeks looking after Kinky.
she is a wonderful little girl that is so friendly and cuddly.
She does love to talk to us throughout the day and loves to be close to you throughout the day as well.
She enjoyed cuddling up on your lap and have a nap when given the chance.
Chris and Anne's home in the mountains was such a wonderful retreat for us which allowed us the peace and serenity we were looking for. We both look forward to be given the opportunity to look after Kinky in the future.
Thanks again Chris and Anne for this time at your home looking after Kinky.

Eliza
Beautiful property in unspoilt countryside. The animals are all easy care and friendly. We really enjoyed our week here. Lots to explore nearby and lovely walking from the property. We shall miss Ned, Buster and Pip who all accepted us immediately. Eliza and Mathew were welcoming and relaxed and gave us a good handover. We recommend this house sit highly.

Julie
Julie’s home was lovely and we really loved Reilly Roo! We already miss Reilly and her cute, cuddly, and communicative self. Julie was a great host, who had comprehensive guides that made things easy. She was also available for quick questions, and was generous in sharing things that make a life a little better (e.g. her bicycle, dumbbells, and more). These are deep virtues. Overall, we had a great time in Philly!

Malcolm
We had a very rewarding time at Malcom’s in Sobrado.
It was a very different experience from all the fancy pet/house sits we’ve done through THS.

The place is magical, especially when the sun is shining.
Sarria is a short drive away and good for food shopping and Samos for the incredible convent and walk along the river and some of the Camino.

The house is very basic and rustic and will be incredible when restored.
The sitter’s bedroom is nice, the bed comfortable and big enough for two. The toilet is downstairs/outside and has a quirky shower. If your standards of cleanliness and hygiene are high then this sit may not be ideal for you. Also if you have allergies (hay, dust, animals) you will struggle. We advise you bring some overalls or work clothes and check with Malcom if he has wellies/gumboots your size but there is little or no mucking out to do.

The best thing about this sit are without a doubt the gorgeous animals!
Sadly Bruno wasn’t there but we looked after 6 cats, 8 goats, 4 sheep including two tiny lambs and an array of chickens and ducks.
The morning routine starts around 7.30am and takes about 1h. After lunch you need to let the herd down to the bottom paddock and bring them back up late afternoon for their evening feed. The chickens pretty much take care of themselves and the cheeky ducks enjoy staying out till sundown.
It was really entertaining watching the different animals interact with each other and they are all very easy to care for, even the sweet lame goat who enjoys a cuddle.

Communication with Malcom was super easy and we appreciate the trust he bestowed upon us with his home and wonderful menagerie.

Esta
Esta and Tim's house is comfortable, easy going and full of nature's delights! I recommend this house sit for anyone who loves quirky cats, wild birds, and friendly horses. It's good, honest work, and it fills one with deep satisfaction to service such a wonderful property. We have house sat for Esta, twice now and will be back for a third time. Esta and Tim are friendly, highly organised and make us feel welcome, every time. I consider them friends, and can with confidence say, they are lovely, warm hearted, generous people. Thank you for everything guys! Warmly, Dee and Paul.
