Frank and Sherri were terrific hosts! They prepared thorough instructions for the care of their cats and home, they set up a lovely guest room for us, and made sure everything was all cued up to be as easy as possible. Their modern and spacious home is in an incredible part of Denver with amazing restaurants all around, and you just can't beat the company of Jasper, Hal, and Leo. These guys are so fun, friendly, and easygoing. We had an absolute blast with them and we'd go back in a heartbeat.
Dimitri and Sara live in a beautiful apartment which is so well located if you want to visit SF by feet! We had great communication with them during our stay, they were super responsive and very organized! Map is so sweet and so easy! We got attached to her very quickly! We have a 9 months old baby and she was so gentle with him, it was very cute to see! So, if you have the chance, jump on it! We highly recommend house sitting for Sara and Dimitri. We had such a great time with Map, we would come back in a heartbeat!
For the last 2,5 weeks I’ve been catsitting Kitty (a.k.a Tae). All in all a wonderful experience! It took a little time for Kitty to warm up, but eventually she came out to play and ask for belly rubs. She even joined me on the bed for a short while, in the evening and morning. It’s funny to see that Kitty hangs out in the bathroom, on the heated floors, for about 90% of the time. And who can blame her - the bathroom is so comfortable! So she wasn’t super needy and cuddly all of the time, but I loved getting to know her personality and preferences. Beforehand I got the chance to meet Courtney and Andrew, they made sure I knew my way around the apartment and about Kitty’s ‘manual’. Communication was great and we kept in contact every few days. Their house is super comfortable and in a great location. Would love to catsit again, since I already miss Kitty. Hopefully we’ll meet again in the future, thank you for picking me Courtney and Andrew!
We've had a great time at Zara and Nicky's place:) They were very helpful, the instructions were clear, and they even left snacks for us, which was sweet. The cats were lovely too, Tortellini and Jess were both very cuddly right away, Humphrey was a little more shy but also friendly once ready to mingle, while poor Pecha is dealing with some health issues these days. That's a little sad to see but she's a trooper for still going around and exploring well into her 80s. A sit we'd recommend overall! Many thanks for having us.
I had a great time sitting for adorable Archie and Schmidt! We warmed up to each other right away, and from the moment we met they were ready for fun. Extremely affectionate, trusting, well behaved, and great companions who love cuddles and playtime and long walks. Loved getting to know their sweet personalities. The comfortable home is in a beautiful gated area surrounding a huge lake with a bird sanctuary. Communication with Mace before, during, and after the sit was extremely easy. A very pleasant experience and I was sad to say goodbye. Would happily sit again.
I had such a beautiful time looking after Murphy, in Richard's family's old farmhouse up on the tops. Its really my kind of heaven, but not for everyone! Murphy is blind and deaf, he navigates by bumping into stuff and never complains. I was quite bowled over by his character, he's an amazing dog! We had such a lovely time together, and shared some really touching moments of connection. The aga requires a fair bit of input and 'refining of technique' shall we say, a learning curve for me for sure but I really enjoyed the process and the relationship that developed along the way! Then I do enjoy things that involve some effort, relationship and skill with things we have come to take for granted in our culture. The fire was an absolute beauty, what a pleasure to have a real fire running 24/7. It is very windy up there, which I love. All was great with communication with Richard, I felt very welcome and he helped me out a lot with navigating the aga technique from afar, and anything else I needed. A wonderful sit. Would go back in a heartbeat.
