Had a lovely time looking after Floki and Callie🐱
The house is in a great location, so many nice walks around and close to the beach.

I would like to share my experience during my recent house-sitting assignment. Regrettably, it was unlike any other I have encountered in my 13 years of pet-sitting. My intention is to provide an honest account, with the hope that it can serve as a reference for future sitters.

Initially, my interactions with Chris and his family led me to believe they were kind individuals who were new to Trusted House Sitters. However, this impression changed over the course of my stay. Unfortunately, I have been dealing with the personal loss of my aunt, who succumbed to cancer while I was caring for Chris's cat. This situation has been profoundly challenging for me on a personal level.

During this difficult period, I had to attend my aunt's funeral and be with my family - which led me to end the sitting early. Regrettably, Chris displayed a lack of empathy and appeared more concerned with my early departure. Additionally, the frequent attempts to send their neighbors to check on me felt like excessive micromanagement and made me uncomfortable, especially as a solo young woman. Trusted House Sitters is designed to facilitate a mutual exchange between sitters and homeowners, but in this case, it seemed Chris was primarily focused on cost-saving and created an uncomfortable and dehumanizing environment.

Moreover, certain aspects of the house-sitting arrangement were not disclosed. For instance, I was unaware that I should refrain from using their blankets even when the weather was exceptionally cold (2 days I was very cold and so I used their blanket, and Chris complained about it on my review).

On a separate note, their cat, Jooni, exhibited aggressive behavior by biting and damaging my clothing. When I tried to grab my shirt from her - she bit my finger, requiring medical attention and antibiotics. I simply wish I had been forewarned about her propensity to chew on clothing items, which would have saved my favorite top and a doctors visit.

In summary, my experience with this family did not align with the values of connection, kindness, and mutual exchange that Trusted House Sitters promotes. I believe it is important to share my experience honestly to ensure transparency within this community. Last, if you are looking to have a joyful experience exploring Seattle, there are many other families you should look to. Avoid this one.

I had a super time looking after Saara in Jan & Graeme's lovely home in Ringwood. Saara is a very gentle and affectionate old lady and absolutely no trouble at all. I will miss her company. Jan & Graeme went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable in their home. All instructions were very clear and we had several zoom calls in advance of the sit. I even visited them for an afternoon to get to know Saara before the sit began. 2 thumbs up to Jan & Graeme and thank you very much for the use of the car. I highly recommend this sit to all TrustedHousesitters.

Leanne and Hunter were wonderful hosts- they were so welcoming and friendly. We loved their fur babies too . Such characters and so loving . Nakita the sabrían husky was so friendly and loved the walks and was very talkative and clever . Naya was a little shy in the beginning but once she got used to us she was a delight. Definitely would love to pet sit for them again

We had a great time looking after Bonnie and Honey. They are the most loving dogs we ever looked after. Both of them are so unique and different. Bonnie the calm one, gentle and well behaved and Honey is a bubble of energy completely opposite Honey. She is always ready for a play and absolutely love her ball. The house is stunning, cozy and the area is definitely a gem. Collete and her husband were very kind and welcoming.
With that being said, we highly recommend the sit and would love to return some day.
