Artie was very sweet and very easy to look after. I had been warned he might be a little anxious to have me instead of his family. He wasn't super chatty or affectionate initially, but over the week he became more comfortable with me. Great communication from Laurie ahead of the sit, with clear written instructions in her house regarding routines. All info on her profile was entirely accurate. Lovely clean home in a lovely location. I would highly recommend this as an ideal housesit.
I had a lovely time in Evian less Bains. Chris & Chris made me feel very welcome and showed me around the neighborhood before leaving. Ted was wonderful company. The woods just behind the house were perfect for our morning walks. The house sits on the hill overlooking Lac Leman and from my room, I could enjoy the stunning views and changing light over the water. The week was unusually warm and the pool felt delightful at the end of the day. Most of all, five stars to Ted the Labradoodle! He is cute, well behaved, and affectionate.
Christina is a wonderful host, very communicative and clear. Matilda is a sweetheart and very easy to look after, and the apartment is clean and well-located. Would highly recommend!
**If you don't want to read the whole review, let us lead by telling you that you won't regret sitting with Nancy and Georgia. If you are considering applying, do it!** Georgia is a clever, loving girl who is surprisingly calm for her age. There are a few sources of anxiety for her in the neighborhood, but other than in response to neighboring dogs or a particularly sassy squirrel she was more than happy to spend the day interacting with us or watching life happen in her yard and garden. Georgia loves her walks. We were so impressed at how well she would disengage even from a squirrel bounding nearby. She is responsive on walks, even when something exciting is happening. It makes her a joy to take anywhere. Georgia was welcome to sleep with us while we stayed, and we miss her happy snuggle as we wake. Nancy, when you read this please give her a rawhide stick and a cuddle for us? Nancy is a wonderful host, with an amazing home. We were fortunate to spend an evening with her before she left for her trip. Nancy gave us some more insight into the region as well as excellent companionship. After she departed, we spent a majority of our stay enjoying the garden and hot tub. While we had intended to take Georgia farther afield exploring the area, when we left the house it was usually on lovely long walks around the neighborhood. The lovely and serene home that Nancy has created for herself, along with the pure joy that was spending time with Georgia allowed us to essentially be on vacation while still being attentive. That was a unique pleasure for us, and we truly thank you for a superb experience, Nancy! We really look forward to seeing Nancy and Georgia again whenever our availability aligns!
