Neil and Susan were wonderful! They took such good care of our pup Caswell and kept us updated throughout the weekend with pics and texts. I would highly recommend them for anyone and would have them back at our home in a heartbeat!! They were clean and tidy and incredibly kind and loved on our pup like their own. 10/10!
This was such a great sit. Sam was very easy to communicate with In advance. On our arrival we were made to feel extremely welcome and we received very clear instructions on the care of Alfie, Leffe and Pippin plus the house which were also left in written form for us to refer to if needed. Three dogs might sound a bit daunting but they are so well behaved and such loveable company it really is a relaxing, enjoyable sit. Pippin is a bit more cautious of men but is easily won over once he gets to know you. Sam’s house is beautiful in a lovely location with easy access to Hampton Court and the Thames plus Kingston shopping centre. We would highly recommend and would love to return ourselves.
What a sit! Jackson and Chai were the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. Chai is laid back and a very easy dog. She loves her morning and evening walk and to lay in the sun. Jackson is exactly the opposite. After a four mile walk he is still hyper and jumping but quickly settles down when he realises that’s it for now. He’s still in the puppy stage but growing fast. A very quick and intelligent dog. We had such good fun with the two of them and miss them still. Kim and Donnie are very gracious hosts. Their home and garden are spectacular and so relaxing. We got our own bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. All very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and room in the fridge and freezer for our things. The house has lots of places to relax and the garden is a sun trap so lots of lazing about out there as well. This sit doesn’t need a car as there are many parks and walks around for the dogs and there is a wonderful grocery store ten minutes walk away, prices are very reasonable. The beach is about a mile away. Oceanside has many lovely restaurants and cafes. We would highly recommend Jackson and Chai as doggie companions. Kim and Donnie couldn’t do enough to make us comfortable and we are hoping to meet up again on their next trip to UK. Loved it and thank you for letting us stay.
Hazel and Geoff are such a lovely couple, they gave us such a warm welcome and cooked us a lovely meal the night we arrived. They have a beautiful, comfy home which was a delight to stay in. It is walking distance to the local beach and the wonderful south west coastal path. We were given a detailed welcome pack with information about the area and house, walking maps, top tips for restaurants and suggestions of places to visit to make us really feel at home. Foxy the cat is such a gorgeous fluffy little companion. He enjoys a head scratch and an occasional play with his toys, but is really an independent little guy who will find you out when he wants a bit of affection. He has got into a nice routine with Hazel and Geoff and is loving his new life with them. All he asks is that he can stick to his routine ( usually a little lap around the garden and an afternoon snooze) and he is very happy. We really look forward to returning to this sit and would highly recommended sitting for Hazel, Geoff and Foxy.
I wish I could have reviewed Debbie better too. She was distraught about leaving her dog and home for the first time. She left out clarifying info in her anxiety. She left unclear instructions that missed keys parts about gate code medication and the pond filter. Never showed a key part of cleaning the koi pond filter, both Justin and I were watching her show us. The watering took HOURS in the week during a very very dry hot time of year. This house sit is not for anyone who holds a job! And her approach upon returning back for an unplanned trip (breaking her end of the agreement) where we had to find other housing, was to blame and assume that we were not holding up our end of the agreement because of the filter situation which that she didn’t go over correctly in the first place. The times were extremely hot and Jake could not be outside during the day as he would lay in the sun. He’s a love though! Debbie is a very ungrateful and nervous person. I was hoping we could have just not reviewed each other a left well enough alone!
My daughter and I stayed at the Orlando location. Allison and Dave are wonderful hosts. They were gracious to stock up on essential food items for us and treated us as if we were family which we appreciated. We communicated daily and they enjoyed photo updates of their little guy. As for Cooper, what a blast! He was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. He is a year old with a lot of energy. He is VERY well behaved and super sweet. All he truly wants is your love and attention. He is very playful and loves to carry a part of his leash in his mouth during walks. He is very sociable and enjoys running loose at the dog park. It was a great overall experience and highly recommend!
