This could not have been more perfect. Lou is an amazing person and a joy to sit and talk with. We arrived the night before to get to know her. After that evening, we had made a new friend and hated to see her leave for her travels. She was kind enough to stock the frig for us to get us started and provide tons of information on the area and even helped us to arrange transport from the airport. Communication during the sit was great. This was my first time caring for a tortoise, but I found Baby T was easy to care for. He has such a little personality and really enjoys having someone on in the garden with him from time to time. Instructions from Lou on his care were very clear as well as exactly how to feed him. The property is an oasis, and you can see all the love and effort Lou has put into her home. Its location outside of Carvoeiro provides plenty of quiet. I found Uber easy to catch from the area to such things as the center of town, restaurants, or a well-stocked grocery store. I found the watering and maintenance of her plants minimal. I enjoyed taking pride in making sure her home and the beautiful grounds were well maintained. I am meticulous with care and Lou very much appreciated it. If you are given the chance to meet Lou and spend time here, you will surely enjoy yourself. I would come back to help Lou any time. I look forward to seeing her on my next trip to the area.
Kerry and Karen are awesome. They are very organized and take you through everything you need to know in a detailed way which I really appreciated. Their house is wonderful to spend time in. They are so friendly and helpful, I felt like we became " instant friends". it was a pleasure looking after their two lovely cats. I would highly recommend this sit.
This was such a fun sit! Toasty is the sweetest cat, who loves cuddles and play time. He is a very loving cat that loves to be around people, get ready for a new best friend! The house was cozy, with everything you need and lots of character. We were in the heart of Cold Spring, which has excellent bakeries, trails, and coffee.
Katy is so lovely and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. All of the animals are very friendly and easy to care for. The town is adorable and the view of the water and mountains is absolutely stunning.
Imogen and Ollie are a lovely couple. Imogen’s communication was fantastic before, during and after the sit - she sent us a fantastic power point about Raja and the house prior to our arrival. Raja is a gorgeous tabby kitten; playful, mischievous and cuddly. He needs some play time during the day to tire him out like most kittens. It was so much fun looking after him! The flat is in a great location close to Greenwich and links by train and boat to central London. We had a great time exploring the city when we stayed, and we’d definitely do this sit again if we get the chance.
Apollo, Halley and comet were fantastic to watch. They all stole my heart. Erin and Nick were fantastic hosts and truly made our stay wonderful. I would not hesitate to sit for these lovely animals again! I truly hope I get to the opportunity to do so at some point in the future.
