If I could give Mony and Dale 10 stars, I would! These have to be some of the nicest and most considerate people on the planet. To say they went over and beyond what we expected, is an understatement. They treated our home as well as anyone could but more than that, they loved and cared for our dog Jack as though they had known him forever. We are so grateful to have found them and are so glad to have had them as our trusted house and pet sitters.
Xan was a great house and cat sitter, obviously experienced and definitely an animal lover. Communication in the run up to the sit was super clear and Xan was very easy to get on with. During the house sit Xan also asked questions and double checked on things to ensure no mistakes were made and our house and animals were cared for exactly how we wanted while we were away. This included checking in with us when we had some very heavy rain, and feeding back to us when we had someone in to do some maintenance. Our two cats, Coco and Moriarty, were very well looked after. We loved getting photo and video updates on how they were, especially as we were away for a long-ish while. Both cats obviously really loved Xan, but the fact Coco, who is much more choosey than Moriarty, adored Xan just proves they know what they're doing. Our excess of house plants were also well cared for. We returned to a very clean and tidy house and we were very grateful for the essentials Xan had got in for our return as well. Xan is an excellent housesitter and lovely person - you'd be lucky to have them look after your house and pets.
We were so grateful for Rose. We loved her and our pets did too. She is so calm and relaxed around the pets. Her peaceful demeanor was wonderful. Our cat instantly warmed up to her (really unusual) and our dog was in heaven. We had 100% confidence in her and no worry at all while we were out of the country. We also had some flight problems on the return trip and she was flexible and able to cover until we could get home. Rose is unfortunately booked up until March otherwise we would have invited her for our next sit. She’s perfect for the job and we highly recommend her.
Lindsey is great, friendly and very welcoming. We had a video chat before the sit, and she made sure to answer any questions I had. She showed me around the place when I got there, and communication with her went smoothly both before, during and after the sit. Louie and Delilah were absolutely amazing, they warmed up to me immediately and you can tell that they are very loved and cared for. Louie knows what he wants; he will wake you up in the morning for his food and come to you and demand cuddles and attention. He is also really social, and would follow me around in the apartment wherever I went, super adorable! Delilah, despite being a little shy and careful, loves her snuggles and contact. She is a little jumpy, from traffic sounds or people walking by or other loud noises, so remaining calm around her is probably the best way to quickly gain her trust. She would frequently come for pets and some loving words, but enjoyed spending a lot of her days in her favorite spot in the wardrobe in the living room! After the first day both Louie and Delilah spent parts or the full night in the bed with me, super cozy! The apartment is small, but doesn't feel cramped. It feels really homey, and is super centrally located. The tram and public transport of the city is great, but I ended up not even using it that much because I could walk to everything. The kitchen has everything you would need for basic cooking despite its size. I was fortunate enough to spend some hours talking with Lindsey both before she left after she came back, and our connection and conversations felt very natural. She openly shared from both her life and travels, and I enjoyed my time with her and her cats a lot. Don't miss your chance if this sit becomes available for you 😊
