Alia is a wonderful furbaby sitter and also a wonderful person. It is our privilege to have her for the 3rd time. She keeps us informed, our dogs love her, and she even cooked dinner and left it for us. The house was perfect when she left.
This was a lovely home to stay in. Both cats were great company and fun to be around. It took a little longer for lily to warm to me but once she did, she would sit on my lap or lay next to me at every opportunity. The house itself is lovely with a cute little conservatory area downstairs. The only downside was that there was a heatwave while I stayed, so the large conservatory caused the house to be like a greenhouse. The cats are kept in during the evenings so I was being super careful with not leaving the windows open so they didn't escape. This meant the house was incredibly warm and unfortunately, even with my best efforts, impacted the health of Carla's plants. It should also be noted that there were a lot more plants than expected. This should have been better communicated before the sit as the impression I had was that it was a two cats and a few plants. So although I have experience with plants, and have never had a issues in previous house sits or with my own plants, the large number plus the heat ended up being a bad combo in the end. Overall, it was a great sit and would recommend. Lily and oreo were great company and Carla kept in touch reguarly.
Danielle and Gary have a stunning property and lovely animals in the characteristic west coast forests of Vancouver island. Beautiful Douglas fir, arbutus and oak trees surround their comfortable rancher. It is a real (re)treat to spend time at their place and care for dog Frankie (he is such a joy to be around) and two friendly horses. Danielle left me with detailed instructions for their feeding and cleaning schedule and we had good communication (prompt and responsive), whenever I had follow-up questions or concerns. I didn’t bring a car this time and would not recommend being without a vehicle (especially not in the rainy fall/winter season). Buses don’t run frequently and the area is quite rural. Other than that, it is a great place all around. I’d return to their place anytime.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing first sit with Archie the 10 year old Spaniel. Who was a delight to look after and very well behaved. Daphne was very informative and communication was very good. Her home was in a beautiful location in the New Forest with a fantastic view.
We had a wonderful time in the stunning Sandbanks area looking after Blu and Freddie. They are full of character and love just chilling out at home. They are not keen on other dogs which Helen fully explained but they are easily distracted with treats! It was a pleasure to meet Helen and Matt, lovely couple with an easy handover. The house is extremely comfortable and there are some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Hope to see you all again soon.
Pet-sitting for Kyoko and Jim was wonderful in every way. Their dogs Coco and Bandit were awesome company and very well behaved and trained perfectly. We bonded with them quickly and it was a little hard to leave them! Kyoko and Jim's home is very comfortable and relaxing and their neighborhood is full of stunning character homes that will have you walking for much more than your 10,000 daily steps! Their walking and driving proximity to everything you could want in the twin cities is unbeatable. Thank you so much Kyoko and Jim! And Coco and Bandit too!
I housesit in Bend a lot. Trust me, you WANT this house sit. The location is perfect for getting anywhere you want to go in town. It's quiet and has easy access to the canal and river trails if you like to run/walk. The house is very clean and comfortable. Laurie and Dan are lovely people who provide detailed instructions, respond to texts quickly, and genuinely care about their sitters having a positive experience. And last, but most important...Stinker! Such an awesome cat! She is mellow and independent, but will ask for love and affection when she wants it. She spends a lot of time napping on her bed next to the fireplace. And sometime in the middle of the night she moves her little stuffed animals to new places in the house, which always made me laugh in the mornings. This was a delightful housesit and I can't wait until our schedules align again so I can return. Highly recommend!
