Cat Sitters in West Haven Sylvan, OR

My dog Pilot has been coming to the Raleigh Hills location for about 2 months. He is a rescue dog and I think he is afraid I am abandoning him when I leave him somewhere new. We started slow and the staff were wonderful making him feel comfortable. Now he loves coming to play and starts freaking out when we pull into the parking lot. I think Pilot enjoys the staff more than the dogs and I appreciate how much they cuddle and love on him. Highly recommend for daycare.

Our dog is a little shy but has always had good experiences at Original Bark. The workers seem to really like dogs. There are a couple of rooms so the dogs have room to spread out if they need a little less stimulation. We also love the webcam so we can check in on our dog during the day. We've never had problems with aggressive dogs. The hours are very convenient for what we need. Would recommend Original Bark to people looking for a relatively relaxed place to bring your dog during the day.

Just left our scheduled temperament check. Extremely disappointed with the service and overall experience. 1st we were punched in the face by an overwhelming dog urine and feces smell. After that, the person behind the counter said hello and acknowledged they received our records. From there he stood up and started walking towards the back, and so we followed. He had to stop us and tell us it would be just him for this part. There was no introduction, there was no formalities, no run-through of what to expect. After we were stopped from entering the back room, I had to ask for him to explain how things worked. Again, there was no introduction to us, no intro to the dog, no mood check in or anything, just straight to the back with a stranger. So of course, our 8 mo old dog didn’t do so hot in the high stress environment. And we were all happy to go our separate ways. Here’s my takeaway, I get hiring people is tough. But there are certain positions that just require a tiny bit more than the bare minimum. Had a good introduction been made and this person spent time to say hello and make our dog comfortable BEFORE dumping all that stress on her, things probably would have gone different. I don’t recommend anyone bringing their dogs here based on the amount of care and attention we received for 12 min. Can’t imagine leaving something I care about there for any longer.

As a Canadian who often travels to Portland to visit family and friends, I couldn’t be happier to have found Original Bark! The staff at Original Bark were beyond helpful with answering all of my questions and helped assure me that their facility would take great care of my pup while he was there. The staff are so caring, friendly, and kind, the facility is clean and spacious, and access to the webcams to check in with your pup was easy to navigate and use. I will definitely be using Original Bark again the next time I visit Portland and would definitely recommend them!

Original Bark is the best boarding facility we’ve ever used. We’ve taken our dogs now for multiple years, and this last time our dog had some health complications and they went above and beyond taking her to normal vet multiples and making sure she felt loved and was well taken care of. We could not ask for more and are so thankful to have the Original Bark team to take care of our dogs while we travel. We are especially thankful to Gabi who kept us in the loop.

I am so impressed with this place. I had to board my dog unexpectedly after just relocating to the area. My dog is super anxious so I was hesitant to board her at a new place without first acclimating her. I didn't see her on the webcam much the first day or two, so I checked in with the staff there. They quickly responded with a long and thoughtful message about behavior patterns they had observed with my dog, and all the things they were doing to make her more comfortable. I didn't ask for this, but they continued to send me updates throughout her stay. I also began to see my dog warm up to the staff and go up to them for pets. This really says a lot because it takes her a long time to trust people and feel safe in new environments. I didn't feel that she was just doing "okay" there, but actually thriving. I can't recommend Original Bark enough!

Original Bark Oleson Rd is the best. Wonderfully tolerant staff for my rambunctious Lab who is a complete clown, flexible drop off and pick up times, fair rates, and even personalized invites to pool parties. He falls asleep in the car on the way home every time.

My high energy terrier had a great experience at Original Bark. They do a temperment assessment to ensure the dog will socialize and play with with the other dogs. Fortunately my dog passed and spent a fun afternoon getting tired out in daycare. They also provide a short report at the end of the day and have nest video cams if you want to check in on the action. Will be going back from time to time and boarding in October for a couple days. It's not cheap by any stretch, but on par with other higher rated day care and kennels in the Beaverton, Hillsboro, Portland area.

My dog is shy, but because of this dog community, he is so much better dealing with other dogs. Thank you:)

Original Bark has been a lifesaver while working from home. The staff seem to truly love dogs. 4 stars because I wish there was an outside area to pee and I wish more was done to encourage active play. My dog seems to just sniff butts and nap.

My wife and I were feeling hopeless when it came to boarding our mini Goldendoodle. It was difficult to find a good location, fair pricing and someone trustworthy to take care of our pup when we were out of town. Finally we came across Holly’s website and were immediately intrigued. We reached out and Holly was so responsive and caring. We got a meet and greet scheduled right away and it went amazing. Holly and her family are so welcoming and easy to communicate with. It has been such a relief to have found Holly and now we always know we have a reliable plan for where our dog will stay when we need help with her. Our favorite part is the daily photo updates we get from Holly when she is watching our dog ♥️ thank you, Holly!

Holly was very easy to work with, responsive to communications, and thoughtful about taking care of my pup. I had a great trip knowing she was in good hands. The daily pics were not only adorable but high quality, too! Will definitely choose Holly again :)

This review is long over-due. Holly has been caring for our 4 animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) for quite a while now, and she has been absolutely stellar! She is very communicative and very compassionate in the care of our animals. Pricing is fair. Two of our animals have medical issues and one of our dogs in particular has some mobility issues. Holly is always attentive and ensures our pup gets to play without pushing herself too far (she would play fetch all day if she could). When Holly cares for your animals, you can tell she really treats them like family. I would recommend her 100%. Thank you Holly for all you do for our family! PS: She takes some pretty great photos!

We always feel comfortable having Holly watch our two cats while we're away! Holly is responsive, lets us know if there are any issues, and sends the cutest daily photo updates. She goes above and beyond to make sure they feel loved (and we're updated) while we are away!

We left our pet rabbit with Holly for a week. I knew right away that she was in good hands. Holly carefully went over all the instructions with us before we said good bye and made sure our little bunny had a comfortable set up. Then, amazingly, we got wonderful photos and updates throughout the week. Everyone was having a good time together. We were so grateful to have found Holly to share their home and attention with our little friend. Holly is really special.

Our dog loved her stay with Holly and family so much and it was such a huge relief for us to know she was being well taken care of while we were gone. Holly sent daily pictures which were much appreciated. Highly recommend!

Holly provided care for our two cats for a week. I could tell by the cute pictures she sent each day that the cats were very comfortable with her. She even took care of an ant evasion we had, putting out ant traps we had to keep the pests away from the cat food! She always replied promptly to texts we sent while away. I will definitely use her services again.

Holly has taken care of my kitty a couple times now and has done such a good job. She checks on my girl reliably and sends me photo updates everyday so I feel reassured that everything is ok back home. Vacations are so much more relaxing when I know my fur baby is being looked after. I highly recommend Holly!

Holly has been incredible with our 1+ yo dog, Maggie. Maggie is full of energy and love and needs a lot of attention and play. Holly expertly guides Maggie through her days and always sends us lots of great photos to put our minds at ease. She has been very flexible to meet Maggie’s needs and our busy schedule. Her toddler is great around dogs, just like her mom!

We are so lucky to have found Maggie. Upon our first meeting, we knew she was the perfect fit for us and our two kitties. We have now used her on multiple occasions for short and long stay care. Our boys love her and we now don't feel anxious leaving. She is kind, caring and professional...she goes above and beyond on all levels. Every time we come home to a spotless house and happy and healthy kitties. Would 100% recommend Maggie and will continue to use her over and over again!

Cannot recommend enough! Maggie is amazing! I’m a nervous cat mom and it’s never easy leaving our two kitties behind. Maggie took the time to get know us and our kitties, putting us all at ease right away. Maggie did a wonderful job taking care of our furmily while we were out of town. Our dog had a medical emergency and Maggie handled it calmly and professionally (everyone is okay). I needed help with both extremes of the pet guardian, an old dog with multiple illnesses and a young energetic puppy. Maggie was able to help me come up with a plan to manage both of their needs. I am so thankful to have found her service. She has a great depth of knowledge and I appreciate her flexibility as I have non-traditional work hours. We used Maggie’s services for a ten day out of country trip. She was very thorough with our 2 cats and provided daily updates and photos/video. Made us feel very comfortable that our pets were well taken care of while away. She was even able to get out scared kitty to come out and visit her.

Maggie was fantastic - she cared for our senior cat (George -17) and our scaredy cat (Louis - 7) for a week. She was able to get Louis to come out from hiding for pets and was able to get close to George and he even allowed a few head scratches! She sends as many texts as you like to get status - and pictures! She let us know about a potential urinary issue with Louis (he was ok) - but that is EXACTLY what we were hoping for. Maggie cares, is diligent, and is clearly trusted by our boys. We will definitely hire her again! I cannot recommend her more strongly!

Phenomenal cat care. I have two 16 year old cats, each with their own medical needs. Maggie successfully administers pills, liquid oral and transdermal cream medications, even on my stubbornly reclusive cat. Being able to travel again without stressing about whether my cats are receiving the extensive care they need has been such a relief. We also know our home is in great hands: Maggie offers to bring in the mail, roll in the trash, and water plants if needed. She provides photo/video updates with each visit and is so observant, thoughtful, and communicative. So grateful to have found a reliable catsitter. I highly recommend Stay Lady Stay. We are incredibly fortunate to have found such an amazing cat sitter! Maggie goes above and beyond in every aspect of her care. I love the free day opportunity. It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.

My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.

I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.

This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!

I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3

Been coming here for since my dog was a puppy and she loves it! When I drop her off she gets so excited and runs straight to the door to wait for Julia or Craig to come get her! We love Safe Journey and are so grateful for your services!

I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.

This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.

We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.

Ginger watched our dog Ellie, which is no small feat. Ellie is an extremely active cattle dog who demands activity. Ginger was up to the task and they fell in love with each other. Ginger is so caring and kind with animals it is really a beautiful sight to see. She really connects with all animals. Ellie was happy and well cared for and we have used Ginger numerous times since then. Ginger is the BEST!!

I want to give a huge shout out to Ginger Matyas. We have been using her to watch our two kitties in Manzanita for a few years. Ginger is a true gem! She takes great care of our kitties and lavishes them with attention. She takes and sends the best photos too! Your fur babies will love her!

Ginger is absolutely wonderful! She loves cats and knows how to give them exactly the attention they need while we're away. Our cat is very shy but Ginger was patient with him and now he comes out to play with her, which is very rare for him. She has also given us great advice and resources. She's prompt, kind, communicative, and great with cats. Couldn't recommend her more highly!

I knew my cat would be well taken care of after meeting Ginger. She is fantastic at what she does and is truly passionate about taking care of fur babies. I can’t recommend Ginger enough. All I can say is WOW - Ginger was amazing with my 2 cats when I had to go out of town. I am new to Portland and was nervous about finding someone to have come watch my cats for me in my home while I took my first trip out of town. I now have no qualms about future trips because I know my cats will be in great hands with Ginger and her team every time. She brought over toys and played with them and sent pictures/videos every day which was so great. I would 1000% recommend Ginger to anyone needing to find someone to trust their fur babies with!

Ginger has been taking care of my two cats for over two years and she is great! I have an 18 year old cat with early kidney disease and an 8 year old who is frightened of everything after being rescued by firefighters when my condo building had a fire in 2017. Ginger is patient with him and eventually gets him to come out from under my bed covers. My older cat just loves her and climbs all over her. During my last two week trip she came twice a day as it’s important for my older cat to eat regularly. She updated me with photos and videos, easing my anxiety at leaving them for so long. I totally recommend Ginger.

They took care of my baby girl Noodle for two separate stays and I will always consider them in the future. They give you updates and photos of your baby while you’re away. So attentive and fun for my cats. Only complaint was it was hard to find at first.

In terms of cat boarding - Pounce is the wholly grail. Windy and staff are pros and absolutely LOVE cats! I felt very comfortable and over-joyed to see my boy playing with other cats while I was away. We certainly both had a great vacation. 100% would recommend to others.

I adopted a very shy, scared adult kitty, Cady, in March who had been in and out of a shelter and foster care for over a year. She spent the first three months with me under the bed. I travel quite a bit and had taken my previous cat to Pounce for four years so was familiar with their loving care. After a couple of stays at Pounce Cady started to spend more of her time out from under the bed at home coming to me for pets but never purring or getting on my lap. I brought Cady home three days ago after her stay at Pounce and she now lays on my lap purring her little heart out. I don’t believe she would have blossomed so quickly (seven months) if it weren’t for all the love she got from Windy, Lexie, and Jaiden at Pounce. They are the best!

Highly recommend this place!!! I was out of town for almost two weeks, and I was extremely hesitant to board my cat, because he is a pandemic pet who has had basically no socialization and never been away from us for any significant amount of time. After some research, I chose Pounce and Play to board my cat and it went great!! This is truly a business by and for cat lovers. 🐈‍⬛ Windy was very understanding of my anxieties about leaving my cat and did a great job of explaining how cats are introduced to the communal space to ensure their safety and comfort. They gave me daily updates (with photos!) about how he was doing and what kind of attention he was getting from the staff. Windy has a strong risk management mentality, so even if your cat is super shy, they'll be comfortable and safe. Pick up and drop off was smooth, booking was well done...just every step of the way was great. You really can't go wrong with these folks.

They loved on my Tex for 12 whole days. This is the best place for keeping kitties happy while their hoomans have to be away. He was a happy boy.

I love this place. I boarded my cat here for over a week while I was on vacation. They sent multiple updates (with pictures - one is attached) which gave me peace of mind. When I picked her up it was clear how much attention they paid to her - she was so fluffy from multiple brushings! Windy was very communicative throughout the booking process as well. She was great to work with! I will definitely bring my girl here next time I’m away.

I love the service at Pounce and Play. Last time I was late to drop off and they stayed late to take in my kitty. I am so grateful to have this cat hotel in town, where my Siamese can make friends, play all day, and have his own cabana at night. They always send update photos to make me smile while I’m away. They take such good care of the cats and establish relationships with each pet. Would highly recommend them— Dio loves to go!

I have 2 cats who regularly board here. The staff are so nice and really care for my boys. I always feel very comfortable leaving them here, sometimes for a few days and sometimes for a week+. It seems like my cats have fun too! One of my cats is super friendly, and the other is a bit “less outgoing” to put it nicely, but the staff work with him and he seems to be relaxed and enjoying himself soon enough. So thankful for Pounce Play and Stay!!!

I was in a little bit of a safety emergency and wanted to make sure my cat Venus, would be cared for in my absence. I called and they were able to get Venus in same day (she was updated on all her shots/vaccines) and when they asked when I could pick her up, I told them it was a little bit in the air because of circumstances at home and they were so incredibly understanding and flexible and kind. In general I was a mess emotionally and missed my cat so much and they texted me EVERYDAY with updates of my cat and pictures and it put me at so much ease. I am so grateful to you guys for showing not just my animal kindness but to me as well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You’ll see us again, and this time not in such a dire situation. 😊

Wonderful experience with PetSitter Portland!! Our senior pup was well cared for while we were out of town. Great communication!! Pictures were sent and a description of how each visit went was relayed as soon as they were done. I could recommend Joe, Janice and Priscilla anytime!! Each one was very sweet and patient with our girl. It was a great experience from the time I inquired about their services, the meet and greet and set up for care. They have a great app that allows you to easily schedule, communicate, request extra services such as setting out the recycle and watering plants if needed. PetSitter Portland was great to work with and took wonderful care of our cat, Mochi. If you have questions they are quick to respond. It was a relief to know she was being well cared for while we were away. The journal entry and pictures they provide after each visit was so nice to receive. I am relieved to know I have someone to call when we will be gone.

Joe and his team are amazing! We were really worried when our usual cat sitter was not available and were apprehensive about someone else watching our kitty Luna while we were away. I saw the great reviews and looked at the website and decided I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did! Shortly after making my account, Joe gave me a call to introduce himself, talked to me about his services, and gave me a run down of how everything works. This made the experience a lot more personable and I liked that we could simply call him if we had questions or concerns about the process. We scheduled a meet and greet so we could see if this would be a good fit and everything went well. While we were away, we got lots of photo and written updates about each visit. Joe spent a lot of quality time with Luna and followed her complex feeding instructions. He always made sure to play with her and gave her lots of love. She’s usually a little timid and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly she warmed up to him. We have now used his services for two separate weekends and everything has gone great. I had an amazing experience working with Joe and his team! I contacted them last minute after another sitter plan fell through just days before my trip. I was nervous to leave my two dogs with someone I didn’t know, but from the beginning, Joe was extremely thorough, walked me through the process, and answered all of my questions with detail. Once we went away, he sent very frequent and thorough updates which were so reassuring. Joe went above and beyond to make sure my two dogs were comfortable and kept up with their regular routines while we were away. He walks my dog daily during the week and Toby (my goldendoodle) loves Joseph. I feel safe leaving my dog and cat in his care. Joseph provides detailed descriptions of walks with multiple pictures. I have never left a review on a business before, but this business deserves the 5 stars. I recently moved into an apartment and as a young woman who works long hours with a varying schedule, I needed to find a reliable and safe solution to take my dog out for potty/walk breaks while I’m at work. The team of people who are on this crew are all very kind and great with Sammy (my 11 year old dog). They are attentive, reliable, communicative, and kind. It can feel intimidating as a young woman to let people into your space and care for your animal but i immediately felt ease when i had the opportunity to meet a few members of the crew. They utilize an app that allows for easy scheduling, and messaging. I receive photos and journals after each visit that reassures me that Sammy is well cared for. I highly recommend this company and crew if you are looking for a dog walking/ animal care service. We recently used Pet Sitter Portland for round the clock care for our two dogs and they hit it out of the park. The website/app is great and easy for setting the schedule and seeing that the requested service occurs. The progress reports and tons of photos, cute and quirky, give real time updates. Joseph and his team were attentive and brought comfort when we were far afield (and leaving the dogs behind for the first time since Covid!). Windy and her team helped us with our puppy for the entire first year. They started off walking her twice a day and then to once a day. They update you with heart melting pictures so I could show them off to my colleagues. They carried over all the leash training and immediately notified us if anything seemed odd. We couldn't have done the first year without them. And our puppy loved every minute of it. I definitely recommend their services.

I was very anxious about going on a planned vacation due to my 18 year old cat who is on many meds when my neighbor recommended Windy. Windy was so calm and asked just the right questions when I met her that I felt a huge sense of relief. During my vacation she regularly sent updates and photos and did such a great job with both of my cats. I highly recommend her company!

Windy is extremely professional and reliable, and has assisted our two dogs with walks for several years now. She has adapted to our changing circumstances, and welcomes new challenges with understanding and kindness. When my daughter was born and we unexpectedly had to stay in the NICU for several days, Windy stepped up to make sure our two dogs at home got their walks and food (and of course belly rubs) while we were away, which allowed us to focus on our new arrival until she got the care she needed. I've been a client of BellyRub for nearly two years, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the kindest, most reliable, friendly, and affordable pet care. I have a shy and very sweet cat that needed sitting whenever I traveled, both for weekends away, as well as up to two week trips, and BellyRubs always provided the best care. The owner, who provided my cat care each and every time, understood that my cat needed time to adjust before she would be comfortable around her, and did so with great patience. Due to her careful efforts, my cat grew to enjoy her company, and was always well adjusted and healthy when I returned from trips. She even noticed when my cat had an unexpected health issue while I was away, and worked with me early and late in the day to provide her with care that resolved the issue almost immediately. I received regular photo text message updates on how my cat was doing at home while I traveled, and I always came home to a friendly note about my cat's time while I was away. She went above and beyond to help me in a pinch, and was always helpful and courteous. She has excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of cat behavior and needs. I could not recommend BellyRub Pet Services higher, and am very grateful for the care they provide.

BellyRub is wonderful!!! Windy was more than helpful when we moved to Portland. Our sitter was very friendly and very informative. She sent pictures every visit. I felt very good about the service they were providing. My cat handled our leaving for vacation (right after we moved) wonderfully because our sitter treated him so well. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Windy at BellyRub has been tending to my dogs since September 2013, when I brought home an eight week old Lab puppy brother to my three year old Lab. She has been great to work with, following direction well, and being flexible when needed. If I need an extra visit or decide to cancel because I'm working from home, I always receive a "no problem!". She goes above and beyond, noticing when something is off and asking me about it then fixing it if needed. She also checks on my ducks and chickens to make sure they have access to water if it's cold or hot outside. I know my dogs really enjoy having her!

Windy with Bellyrub Pet Services is the best, hands down. I have a 150 lb puppy that can be a handful, and he means the world to me. Windy is the only other person I trust to care for him. She is pleasant, flexible, dependable, and highly professional. No matter what my pup throws at Windy, she knows exactly what to do and always keeps me in the loop. I only wish everybody could be as good at what they do as Windy is. She is a true professional.

Windy took care of my girls quite a bit over the past couple years, and they loved her. Be it when I was out of town for several days straight, or stopping in a couple days a week when I had long days at work, I loved knowing that my girls would be well taken care of and that they looked forward to their visits with Windy. I am sad that we recently moved to deep SE Portland and are out of the BellyRub service area, but you can bet that if we move back to North Portland Windy will be one of the first people I contact!

When I adopted two small terriers from a rescue organization I knew I was going to need someone special to help me with their care. After contacts with several pet services in the area I chose to go with Windy at BellyRub because of her professionalism. She immediately understood the issues associated with rescue animals and displayed patience and kindness towards Wilbur and Daisy. She also was able to set limits on their impulsive and somewhat unpredictable behaviors, helping them to be come more confident and well behaved. In addition when Windy comes to the house she always checks things over such as their water and toys, as well as a time or two has cleaned up after an accident. I have grown to depend on BellyRub to take excellent care of my pups and they show nothing but love and excitement when she comes to the house. The owner recommended that we take our dog to a different daycare as they were fully booked. He sent us to this wonderful place and said that that is where he would leave his dogs if he was going on vacation and he was absolutely right. In this literal world of dog eats dog the owner of Buster and Lily’s was an exception. I will try to recommend them as well.

My dog starts going all crazy in the back seat. When I get close to the parking lot. He never acted like that at the two other places. I tried for him to have play dates so I'm very happy with that. The staff is very nice. I make sure that they have updates on his shots and everything. I bring them the paperwork and they are appreciative. Love this place!

The best dog daycare/boarding ever. I have kind of a tricky dog, and the employees are always so kind and patient with her. The owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I love that I can drop her off just for a couple hours to get some socialization. A lot of dog daycares can feel corporate-y and cold, but this is such a community-oriented, welcoming environment. My dog loves it here!

My pup loves coming here. Anytime we get anywhere near that part of town he starts getting really excited. They are nice, friendly and truly love and care about all the dogs who go here. We've boarded him here overnight many times. They also provide baths, and grooming. Great place, friendly staff. Bonus: I can watch my for my dog on their IG story daily. It's really fun :)

Buster & Lilly’s is like bringing our dog to his second home. He has gone there since he was 6 months old and he is now almost 11years old. The entire staff cares for the dogs as their own. Our dog was staying there while we were out of town and he had a medical emergency. Brian and the entire staff went above and beyond to help our dog as we frantically tried to make it home. I highly recommend this doggie daycare if you are looking for a welcoming and loving place to take your doggie!

Highly recommend! It makes me so happy to see my dog get excited to go inside and play. She comes home and sleeps like crazy. And every time I say “you want to go to Buster and Lilly’s?” her ears perk up and she gets so excited! They are also extremely accommodating, the owner and staff are very kind and the price is great.

Our dog absolutely loves Club K-9. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable, and daycare is priced reasonably. We have started taking some of the training classes as well and they are an incredible value. Everyone has been commenting on how well behaved and happy our dog is since starting daycare and training at Club K-9. Definitely give them a call if you are looking for dog services in North Portland!

Always a fan of Club K-9. I don't trust many people to take care of my animals, but they definitely get the nod (and my dogs have always told me that they like Club K-9 too!) I have used all of their services over the years - doggie daycare, boarding, self-service dog washing, and also classes. Speaking of the classes, they are great. I used to take my border collie mix Sally to K-9 for daycare, and we also did the Tricks and Games class, which was fun. Sally could get very nervous and amped in a classroom setting, and the trainers always found a way to meet her where she was and work with her, encouraging her (and me) to try new things with training and expand her world. That class was great, I highly recommend it. I love how the staff at Club K-9 really pays attention to how the dog is feeling in the moment, and very much appreciate their expertise in positive training and dog behavior, as well as their compassion. Especially now with my small dog Alfie, a newcomer to doggie daycare. He's a pretty sensitive little fellow, and it really helps to know that he is in such good and caring hands. And you can tell they really love what they do.

We are in our first week of doggy daycare. It’s a first for us as humans and for our newly adopted dog. We have been blown away by the care, attention and professionalism we have encountered with all staff members. We were super nervous at first (first timer anxiety?) and now it feels like a dream come true. Our pup is in a safe space, with genuinely caring individuals who ensure ALL the pups are cared for and happy. We are really excited about all the training classes they offer as well! I can't speak highly enough about North Portland Club K-9. My 2 dogs have been coming here weekly for about 3+ years and they light up with excitement at the word 'daycare'! One of my dogs is highly anxious/extremely sensitive and this is her favorite place to go, she even has gotten super comfortable with the staff there and loves to see them every week. I feel more comfortable leaving my dogs here than I do with family, they truly are the best team. Super professional, friendly, and they absolutely will love on your pets & make them feel at home!

Great place for puppy and teen socials! My border collie pup is always SO excited for his weekly playdate. As a pet parent, I love that my dog can get the socialization he needs in a controlled manner (as opposed to going to the local dog park). We have seen tremendous improvement in our pup's interactions with other dogs and people since first starting out with puppy socials. Another nice pro about this location is that they have their own parking lot (not needed, but definitely nice to have when trying to wrangle a puppy in and out of the car). I will edit my review if we are able to go back for daycare or other services.

We have been using club K9 since 2018 and we absolutely love them. We really liked that they evaluate every dog before accepting them as clients because it helped us feel safe about our dog being around other good dogs. Our dog doesn't pick up any bad habits when we get him back even after over a week of boarding. The staff is always friendly and accommodating when we have late pick up or need to add a day to boarding because of a delayed flight. I would recommend Club K9 to anyone.

I have only great things to say about Downtown Doggies (Richard and Mikey), caring for my dog, Gilmore. Mikey is kind, patient, positive, and dependable. This is my first time working with a dog walking service, and I was nervous about trusting my leash-reactive and cranky dog with a stranger. However, meeting Mikey and watching him interact with Gilmore - and the adorable photos and updates - puts me at ease. I feel so lucky to be working with Mikey, and appreciate Downtown Doggies so much.

We had a great experience with Richard and Mikey. They were kind with our dog, Max, even putting a coat on him on rainy days. They were also flexible with our schedule changes. Our only regret was not finding them sooner.

My experience with Downtown Doggies was nothing but wonderful! Being a traveling nurse, leaving my dog alone for 12+ hours while at work is not an ideal situation. I was so lucky to have come across Richard and Mikey because they definitely helped my situation! What I really loved most about their services was the summarized potty break I would receive immediately after the walk was complete! They include a very detailed map including where they walked, how many times my dog did her business, and of course added a few photos! I felt very at ease knowing my dog was in excellent hands. I would recommend to anyone who's in need of a dog walker! :)

Mikey is simply the best! He not only walks Pippa, but has taken the time to know her quirks - what she likes and how to play with her. It's been such a relief to know my dog-child is in such good company and care.

This last weekend I had Mikey watch my puppy Annabella and her older brother Hamilton for two nights while I was out of town. This is no easy task as the pup is only 12 weeks old, yet Mikey went above and beyond with my two pups! He was very responsive and cared for the dogs as I would have if I were home. He accommodated requests I had for their routines and somehow managed to keep my dog area clean which is also a challenge considering potty training is a work in progress….I highly recommend Mikey and Richard. They have been so easy to work with and truly care for your pets! I also very much look forward to their photos and updates during their stays 😊

Incredible loving/caring/meticulous service provided by Mikey and Richard of Downtown Doggies! We were new to Portland and looking for a trusted house/dog sitting service during our 3 week trip to SE Asia… Downtown Doggies turned out to be a perfect solution. We got 3 updates a day accompanied by photos, walking map and stories about our Mini Pinscher, Loki. What a relief. They also took great care of our house as well. We just got back from another week away where Loki was in their care; consistent results. Loki, it seems, loves Mikey as much as us! Can’t imagine a more trusted source for dog care…

Richard is absolutely wonderful!!! He is very professional and sends pictures with every walk. You get a overview of the walk, where the pup potties and where stops are. I highly recommend him and the services. I will be calling again!! Freya loves him:)

Downtown doggies is fantastic. I started to book with them when my office mandated a return to work. They were able to get us on the schedule so quickly which was so appreciated. My dog is apprehensive with strangers and they really worked with me, and my pup, to make sure things worked for everyone. They will be my first call if I ever need any services for my pup. I love how thoughtful and thorough they are when they do drop ins and they communicate everything so well. Seeing the photos and notes they took during the drop ins was one of my favorite things

We've used Downtown Doggies twice now and both times we had Mikey as the sitter for our two cats. Mikey is friendly and professional and takes good care of our cats. Our cats usually hide from anyone besides my wife and I, but they both seem to love Mikey. We really appreciate the daily updates and photos we get while out of town. Richard has also always been great to work with over email when scheduling. These guys are super friendly and professional and will continue to be our go-to service in the future.

We visit Portland and stay down-town. We were in a pinch since we had to bring our two Frenchies with us and were staying in a down-town Condo. Richard agreed to sit and play and take the boys on nice long walks so that they wouldn't be cooped up when we went out to eat for the evenings. Richard was great - warm and friendly, easy to work with and the doggies loved him. We received amusing updates and notices of their activities when they were out and about.We liked him and will use him again and can whole-heartedly recommend him to other down-town dwellers.
