Overall, Cheryl was great. I only gave four stars for pet care but let me explain. I went away for 3 weeks. There was a heat wave the entire time I was away, and I was so afraid my newly planted back yard would wilt to death. Therfore, I leaned on Cheryl heavily to water my back yard plants and shrubs, which is a time-consuming job. She sent videos of my back yard along the way to show me how things were looking. As well as the outside, she also watered my indoor plants regularly. I returned home to see all my new shrubs and plants thriving despite the high 90 degree temps. I also returned to a wonderfully clean house and a satisfied kitty. The main issue around the pet care was that Cheryl believed my kitty should be fed more than I have been feeding him for the past 11 years (based on vet's recommendation) . Despite our email communication regarding her concerns he was not fed enough, and me clearly stating to keep to the feeding directions I'd left, Cheryl disregarded this and fed him more anyway. Although I'd left more than enough cat food to cover the time I was away, the last week she ran out of cat food and needed to buy more. I felt Cheryl was not tuned in to my cat's behavior. While she interpreted my cat was hungry whenever he meowed, much of the time he simply wants/needs/responds well to some gentle talking to with affectionate touching (massages, hair brushing, rubbing his belly), or just a few minutes of interactive play. Yet if food is offered, he will never turn it down. During Cheryl's housesit, I emphasized the yard watering. Because I felt like this was a big inconvenience and burden to place on anyone, I didn't want to emphasize that my sweet cat also required alot of attention. I knew my kitty could make it through 3 weeks on less than his usual amount of loving, but my yard would not survive a heat wave without watering! Because of my choice, I take some responsibility for the perceived lack of attention in the pet department.

Tom was a great housesitter. His communication was great leading up to the trip. He showed up right when we planned. He quickly learned everything we needed to show him about the house and the pets. During our trip, he was completely self sufficient. When we got home, the house was just as we left it and the cats were happy as can be. His personality is very easy going and we would definitely have him sit again!

Omg. If you get a chance to do this sit, jump at it.!!! Cheryl could jot have been more welcoming- introducing me to her friends, showing me around and taking me for a beautiful dinner. I went t that restaurant 3 times! And then there’s Gun. I fell in love with him and even cried when I left! He is the best dog that I have ever looked after. He is gentle, cuddly and just heaven.

Katie and Martyn are fabulous hosts! They were very welcoming and generous with me. We shared the flat for a few days and I really enjoyed spending time with them. They invited me to join them for some of their social activities, they took me sightseeing to Kourion Archaeological Site, they offered me some delicious dinners and they introduced me to their super friendly neighbours who also welcomed me in many ways. When Katie and Martyn were away on holidays, they were always available on the phone and the communication was fluent.

The 2-bedroom flat is newly renovated and fully equipped with all the modern commodities. I was given a beautiful double bedroom and a private bathroom for myself. The flat location is excellent as it is at a short walking distance from the seafront promenade and many green areas, so it was wonderful to walk Fluerie around the neighbourhood, under the warm and sunny Cypriot weather. Fluerie is a quiet, sweet and well-behaved dog. She is very easy to look after and I loved her company!

I liked so much this housesit experience that I immediately accepted to repeat it one month later!! I totally recommend it!

Jack and Joss were completely different characters in that Joss was happy to stay upstairs only coming down for her litter tray but had her pill with no problem at all from her food dish! She also loved being brushed around her head and face!
Jack was out most of the time just reappearing for his food to begin with until he got more used to us and we found crushing pill into a bit of ham and disguising as best we could worked best for all of us, by the evening the food was gone!
Hollys communication was good and we met the evening before we went so she could show us things we needed to know.
We loved being in this area, and the view from the house and garden was beautiful.
Thanks to Holly.

Layne
This was a lovely way to live like a local in Sonoma, which is one of the most beautiful wine districts north of San Francisco. We lived only a few blocks from the idyllic town center in a high quality guest cottage and enjoyed the company of three cute dogs in the main cottage and a beautiful garden. Communication with Layne was great right from the beginning and we ended up doing two sits combined. Layne is very flexible, generous, open and welcoming host, and we got very good and detailed instructions regarding the dogs, the houses and the duties. Coco is an older pug lady with a mellow character, Boots is also an older pug, who should have his own comedy show, and Lucy is a clever teenager mini Aussi with endless energy! They form a tight pac and look after each other and yet enjoy human companion and cuddles very much. This was all such a treat for us!

We spent 3 weeks over Christmas holidays with Crystal and honestly, it was just wonderful!
She has a fantastic personality, she’s very fun and entertaining and will make you smile all day long!
Crystal is such affectionate dog, always looking for you around the house, asking for and giving you lots of cuddles.
Awesome quality time spent together, as she is truly well-behaved and you can take her everywhere with you.
House is big and spacious and has everything you may need; it also has a beautiful garden and it’s so close to Manly centre and port, an ideal location for relaxing walks, with nice bars and restaurants.
Fran and Mark were so welcoming, left clear instructions for taking care of Crystal and the house as well, and were absolutely lovely with us, couldn’t ask for any better!
The hardest part was to say goodbye to Crystal, we’re gonna miss her heaps!
Hopefully we can housesit again for Fran and Mark some day.
Can’t but recommend them! Thanks for having us!

Chloe’s home and cats are absolutely lovely. It was only a short sit but Chloe’s communication was perfect throughout which ensured the sit was flawless. Pershore is a lovely Georgian riverside town which is perfectly located to explore more of Worcestershire. Highly recommend this sit!
