This was a lovely area close to the City Centre but not too close. Visits to Cadbury World, The Black Country Museum and the Botanical Gardens are all easily possible. We also took a Bus Ride from the bottom of the street to the City Centre where you can visit the Bull Ring (shopping Centre ) if you wish. We took a canal ride from just the other side of the ICC (conference centre) which was informative. Harborne High Street is close by with many shops and eating places and five mins walk in the opposite direction is a pub which does a Carvery. Precious is a very friendly cat who loves company and most of all FOOD. she was a pleasure to look after. Instructions from Gaynor with regard to Precious and her medication were full and informative.
Mark and Rexana were great!! They welcomed me into their home the night before they were leaving to make things easier for both of us since they were leaving early the next morning. They had everything ready for me to just step right in and take care of Nala. Nala was a pure pleasure to hangout with. She could hardly wait for our morning walks on the walkway behind the house. I would definitely sit for Mark and Rexana again if I am in the area.
Lucia and Jack are a young, smart couple who are starting a family in a perfect spot in Manitou Springs. Close to everything. but still a quiet street. Great backyard. Comfy house and bed. Modern kitchen. As of May, 2024, they are in the process of building a new master bedroom and bathroom, but the work does not get in the way at all. It's all behind a closed door off the kitchen. Oops, I'm leaving out the best part . . . LEO! The front half of him is lab, the back half is solid and thick like a pit bull. He is one of the most loving dogs we have had in our 30 sits. He relishes his two walks a day -- around the neighborhood in the morning then exploring the many paths in town and just out of town in the afternoon. MS has a lot of personality. The neighbors are all friendly and welcoming. Lucia does most of the communication and she is quick to respond to any inquiries. Jamie and I immediately felt at home. The bed is extra comfy. Good sized Smart TV with excellent wifi. Has that mountain home feel to it. Hope to sit for them again someday. --david and jamie
Caroline, sorry I took so long to complete this. I just figured it out. As we discussed in our many emails I had a great time at your place It is too bad it was short. Louis is a great big beautifully tempered, gorgeous dog. He couldn't have been better company. Your place is well-placed to enjoy all the sight-seeing the Midi has to offer. I spent an enjoyable short sit with Tinker, the JRT and Mabel, the young lab. The dogs were great fun on walks in the area and forever playing fetch in the yard. Both dogs are great fun and very well-behaved at home and on walks. Communication with Arabella was excellent. The home was very comfortable and well equipped with all you need. It would be fun to do a longer sit to explore more of the area. Thanks.
This was a lovely sit! Our second time housesitting in Ramsgate, which is a great location for a break, lots of great walks and interesting places to visit. Andrea and Colin were so welcoming and kind. Their home is cosy and comfortable, and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. They'd even left us some delicious pastries from THE BEST cafe in Ramsgate in the fridge. They also have an outdoor sauna which was lovely to use. Jeffy is so sweet and great on walks off lead, she can tug on lead at times with excitement but the beach is fairly close and she's brilliant off lead. We walked her from Ramsgate over to Broadstairs and back along the beach and she loved it! The cats kept to themselves mostly apart from Henry who loved a cuddle, but all were super easy to look after. We're looking forward to our next stay!
