We had the best time looking after these beautiful pups! We were genuinely sad to leave. Bee and Rory are just too cute, and we couldn’t resist their adorable puppy faces. They are both incredibly cuddly and love attention. Bee was very gentle when coming for cuddles, while Rory had zero respect for personal space and would squeeze in anywhere to get some love. He liked to rest his head on a pillow, which sometimes meant using us as his pillow, and he often slept in the most unusual and uncomfortable positions just to be close to us. They behave very well on walks, like all spaniels they get a bit over excited on the way to the park, but once they are there, they can be trusted off the lead as they have excellent recall and always stick close to us. They’d also checked on us whenever they lost sight of us for a second. AJ and Liv are just as awesome as Bee and Rory - very welcoming and friendly. They picked us up from the train station, we shared dinner the night before they left, and they dropped us back in the train station on our departure. Communication before and during the sit was great and we really enjoyed sharing daily pics and videos as there was never a dull moment with these two. Their home is lovely, comfy and well equipped. There are many good walks close by and it’s quite easy to get around by bus. We can’t express enough how much we loved having Bee and Rory as our company. Thank you, AJ and Liv for trusting us with your babies! We would love to see you all again :)
This was a perfect sit with gracious hosts, a beautiful home with outstanding amenities and the sweetest doggies to watch over. John and Linda were kind enough to invite me in a day early and to stay the night after they returned to ensure dogs were not left alone if flight delays. They picked me up and drove me back to the airport and made me a lovely dinner after showing me around their area and making sure I knew everything I needed to know to take care of their lovely Westies, Toby and Meagan. It was my absolute pleasure to hang with Toby and Meagan. They were kind, attentive, communicative and loved their walks and cuddles. They like their routine so very easy to care for. A lovely family and I would be happy to return one day. Highly recommend this sit. Sincere thanks. I miss you all xoxo

Caring for Emma and Jane's animals and property was an amazing experience. Maya and Anton (the labradors) loved their morning walks, they are both very chilled, sweet, social and sleepy in the arvo & evenings. The alpacas, goats, horses, cows, chickens, geese, peahen and galah were all easy to care for - caring for them involved feeding and chatting with them and having fun getting to know them all. The property and house was beautiful, clean and well set up, it was such a peaceful and fun experience spending time there. Jane and Emma are both fantastic hosts and made us feel very comfortable, providing all the information we needed and communicating clearly. It was great to get to know them and their animal family. We would 200% recommend this pet sit to anyone who gets the chance to do it!!!
Ella and Billie are ADORABLE! I really enjoyed getting to know their pretty souls. They’re both tiny and super cuddly, and have great personalities to match! Billie likes playing with her toys and Ella just wants some love and pets, so I got to spend some very chill days by their side. Tamara was very welcoming and we had a nice lovely chat before she departed, she immediately made me feel at home! Her apartment is BEAUTIFUL and the location can’t be beat, right in the middle of everything but so quiet and comfortable inside. We had an EXCELLENT experience all around with Ana and her family. Ana and Roman are just excellent hosts. They were very kind and generous to us since the beginning. Pipi and Rocky were very loving with us. They are absolutely the cutest dog couple we've met so far. Their routine is easy and straight forward. We walked them on the park across the road from the house and they enjoyed it very much. To make this sit even better, we were lucky enough to have their chickens lay fresh eggs for us every day plus we got to meet Roman's tarantula. Their home is very confy and warm, and you can take a bus to the city centre on your doorstep. Just a few minutes ride. We can't wait to see you all again. Thank you for making us feel at home. Vanessa was able to squeeze our 2 pups in for a 12 day stay just 2 days before Thanksgiving (bad planning on my part). Our pups came back well fed, taken care of, and calm (they're usually feral and exhausted) when they come back from a boarding place. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Bethany and Paws Up. Bethany was professional and meticulous about the care of both my cats, Gucci and Coosa. She came to our home ahead of time to meet my kitties and help us prepare for the time she would be caring for them. This was very important to us as we were visiting our daughter in London and were gone for two weeks. She also suggested a nanny camera that she herself uses so that my daughter and I could watch the cats at any time. Bethany has excellent rapport with animals. My cats were immediately at ease with her. She not only took care of their physical needs, but she also played with them and gave them the attention they were used to. Bethany made sure that I received texts with pictures on a daily basis. She also brought in my mail and contacted me when their was a problem with the keys. I will be sure to call upon Bethany the next time we travel. It is such a relief to not have to be worried about our pets and our home while out of town.
If you want the best care for your pets, call Paws Up! Bethanny's consciencious and reliable care clearly comes from her love of animals. My cat was so relaxed and happy when I returned home. She sends daily updates and photos of her visits which include feeding, little box cleaning, and play time. She even gave me a suggestion about solving one of my feeding concerns. I would give her 6 stars if I could!

I have been employing Fetch! for my pet care needs for well over a decade now, perhaps 15 years (it's been a long time!). Without exception, the sitter (Jenny) has always gone above and beyond to satisfy every need while I'm away from home, not only for my pets, but in ensuring my home is secure during and between visits and in collecting mail and informing me of anything else that requires my attention (water leaks, flooding, etc.). In addition, the sitter has been wonderful in administering medications properly when needed and in cleaning litter boxes, food dishes, and eating/waste areas as needed. The sitter has also made time on every visit to play with my cats, which I can tell from photos that they've really enjoyed! I greatly appreciate the photographs Jenny sends after each visit, but I have always had complete peace of mind when I'm away, due to the fantastic communication she provides. Lastly, the management and staff of Fetch! have provided excellent administrative support in adjusting scheduling changes to accommodate my schedule. In my opinion, the service provided by Fetch! is worth every penny!

We have been using FETCH for several years (about 6-7?). I cannot recommend this company more highly. Originally, FETCH came to our house in Kensington. When we moved further out in the county, FETCH accommodated us even though we were not in their usual walking area. Lorena has been walking our pup ever since, at least 3 years. Our pup loves Lorena who is completely focused on her care the entire time she is with her. Lorena knows exactly what our dog needs and she has special games she plays with her. (Hiding treats around the room when she leaves!). I attached one of Lorena's daily pictures of our dog. FETCH also accommodates our crazy, inconsistent work schedules. Over the years, their service has improved with digital walk diaries, online client portals and better customer service. We do not provide people with the keys to our home lightly. FETCH is licensed and bonded and they really check out their walkers thoroughly. We would not trust anyone else to care for our pup, especially now that she is aging. FETCH is a premium service, but the service and sense of trust we get from knowing they can be there for our dog is well worth it
I am new to Fetch! but have nothing but good things to say about my experience with them. Their online system makes scheduling visits, paying invoices, and receiving updates very easy and organized. Jenny, in particular, is such a pleasure to work with. She is professional, punctual, and thorough. Her post-visit updates with pictures and commentary provided much peace of mind while I was away. I have a blind, senior cat who is a little needier than the average cat, but I know he's in great hands with Jenny.
Absolutely love this service! Fetch is so reliable, I love that I’m always matched with the same sitter. Shout out to Connor. Connor comes to our home every time we’re out of town, our two cats love him, and, most importantly, I always feel safe having him in my home. Connor plays with my girls, takes pictures, and leaves a diary note in the app telling me about their day. I look forward to those updates when I’m abroad! I also have the peace of mind knowing that Connor is not an independent contractor, so if he’s ever sick or unavailable, Fetch will send a new sitter out to take care of my cats. All around 5 stars. My senior pup, Kaylee (9 years old), REALLY loved her first day of daycare at the Wagging Lounge! She was keen to explore and meet everyone from the minute we walked in, and she loved everyone on staff (including the men, which was pleasantly surprising given her history of meeting some other men). She’s quite independent, so she apparently spent the day dog watching and hanging out with all of the humans. The spaces are clean, the staff are friendly, and the prices are a good value. Kaylee will be coming back for a week-long stay later this year, and I know she and I are both excited about that! For now, she’s a bit tuckered from her adventure.
Our dogs, Fresca and Sydney, love Wagging Lounge! The girls howl with excitement when we turn the corner knowing where they are going. Every staff member has been very helpful and we are so thankful they take care of our girls so well. We don't have to worry about anything during the day or when we go on vacation. My husband and I love seeing the daily photos and videos showing all the pups having fun.
We love WL and have recommended it to every friend in the area that was looking for boarding or daycare! They have taken care of our doodle Tonks so well, she absolutely loves heading in for daycare and she’s always so worn out after a long day of playing with the other dogs. Even after moving 30 minutes away, Wagging Lounge is STILL the only place we board our dogs. We love the trusted staff and dog savviness they have. They know Bear and Lily by name and are always so happy to have them boarding. Wagging Lounge deeply cares for the dogs that come and know all the ins and outs of them.
Our dog Luna loves coming here! We tried a few days of daycare prior to boarding her. We liked that the dogs are evaluated to make sure they are having an okay time before being kept and we loved her report card on her first day. When we drop her off she doesn’t even look back to us she is so excited to go play with her friends. While Luna was boarded it was also great to know her schedule and see daily photos to let us know she was doing well!
Our dog Hobbes always has a great time at Wagging Lounge! They take great care of him and he gets some socializing and exercise during the day. The boarding options are also very convenient for us. The staff are always very friendly, recognize him, and very communicative. He’s always excited to walk in the door!

We started sending our dog, Duncan to wagging lounge when he was just a puppy! I was so nervous dropping him off because he was such an anxious pup. He absolutely loved it! We love the daily pictures and the staff take such good care of our fur baby. Our usually skittish dog has the best time! The staff at wagging lounge are extremely personable and accommodating. When my husband and I were expecting our baby in the summer they immediately made room for Duncan in their boarding schedule, as we had to quickly rush to the hospital. We love wagging lounge!!

We love sending our pup, Lisa, to the Wagging Lounge Dog Resort Of particular pawesomeness is that they post pics of her having a blast! They also make me feel like she is the coolest pup they've ever met and that they truly love her and care for her. She overcame her longstanding fear of cars after just a few trips to Wagging Dog-- I think because she started to associate the car with going to daycare! We are truly grateful for the care they take of our pup. I'm a mom of 3 human kiddos who have been in daycare, too-- and i really appreciate the special love and affection -- it is invaluable.
Absolutely amazing experience with paradise for pets! My dog boarded there over the 4th of July weekend and they took such good care of him. The staff made sure to have me come prior to the boarding date to temperament test him to ensure he can safely interact with other dogs. I didn’t expect such a thorough test as kennels I’ve experienced before did not spend hours to get to know your dog. This place is the phenomenal, they truly care about your pets and their wellbeing. Taking the time to ensure they can properly handle the dog in addition to observing behavior of the dog in group settings shows how above and beyond they are willing to go for potential new clients. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in their care, I cannot thank them enough!
This place was so amazing for housing my cat on the same day that I called. It was very difficult for me to find a cat boarding facility and luckily paradise 4 pets had space available and treated my cat very well while I was away. Their pricing is not bad at all and the staff are all so friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Food and water was provided as well frequently depending on what your cat is used to at home. And for new customers, you get a free night if stay is longer than 4 nights! Will definitely be using paradise 4 pets again in the near future.
Been taking my pup here for the past 5 years, the staff is very friendly. The facility is clean and well kept up. My pup loves to be outside and is able to socialize with other dogs.
The only place in the DMV that I've been able to find where the dogs spend more time outside than in the kennel. Our pup loves it and the staff and prices are great!
I have borded my cat here a few times and it's an excellent facility, with a great staff. It has a separate building just for Cats, that is clean, quiet, and very safe. The walkway to the building is fully enclosed with a Multiple Double Gate System, so no chance of an accidental escape. So even if a Cat were to get scared and get loose, it could get no further than the next locked gate. Since it's completely enclosed with fencing, nothing can climb or jump out. You have to close one gate, before you get to the next one, and a few more gates after that. Completely Enclosed from the Ground and Overhead. Very Safe and Secure. The Cat kennel has Cat Trees, Cat Tunnels, and lots of toys, and windows so your cat can look outside from their Cat tree. Great Facility and Highly Recommended!

Paradise for Pets always show care for my Domino and I am very satisfied with the care they give. I just left my pet with them for 2 weeks, and my baby was happy, clean and excited. The staff are wonderful, I am satisfied.

I have only just started bringing my dog to Paradise For Pets but they have been so incredible. They are extremely affordable for an extremely reliable and quality service. They have remembered my dog each time I bring him, remembered all of his allergies and needs, made sure he's 100% comfortable, and always been friendly and responsive. The facility is stunning and kept up very well. My dog truly loves going there every time, he doesn't even look back while I'm leaving (and he's got decent separation anxiety). I cannot say enough good things about this place, your dog truly is in wonderful hands.
I really can't speak highly enough of P4P. I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could. The facility itself is awesome and I love that the dogs get outdoor time and paired with dogs of a similar temperament. Jonathan and his staff are fantastic and clearly love dogs. They take the time to know your dog and are great with my anxious pup. On top of all of that, their price are incredibly reasonable. They're always my number one option when boarding.
Josephine and Chris are a godsend! We have a very energetic and dog reactive Pudelpointer and they have been taking great care of her off and on for the last 2 years. She gets plenty of love and has been able to socialize with many dogs which is helpful in her behavior training. Highly recommended service!
Chris and his team have been so wonderful! Chris is responsive, and works with my ever-changing schedule, and is great with my dog. I love that he uses the Pet Check technology - I get an email when they arrive, and again when they leave with a note about the walk, and sometimes a picture :) Paying invoices is smooth and easy. After using two other dog walkers, we've stuck with Chris for quite some time now and I highly recommend using him and his team.
We've used Chris and Peticular Charm Per Care several times. They've always done a great job and have been consistent, reliable, and professional. Our dogs are French Bulldogs and they have special needs. Chris and team did a great job with them and the dogs loved them. Finally, you can tell when you meet Chris and team that they are really animal lovers...
I highly recommend Peticular Charm Pet Care to anyone who is looking for dog walking services in the DC area. Chris is always very responsive and helpful when I reach out to him via email about scheduling extra walks or cancelling walks. Our little dog adores his walker and looks forward to his daily afternoon walks. Our walker is diligent in checking in with us and texting us updates as needed. Lastly, the app used by Peticular Charm is very convenient--you can see when your dog was walked, what route they took, and what your dog, ahem, *did* on his walk. I really trust Peticular Charm to look after my dog and give him the walks he craves in the middle of the day.
Chris and his team of walkers are great. Mark has walked our dog for a number of months and we've been super happy (as has our puppy). Their use of the Pet Check system makes tracking and paying for service so easy and convenient. We have recommended them to several families already and will continue to do so.
I’m thrilled with the dog walking services of PETicular Charm! The owner, Chris, came by to meet our little guys, took notes on behavior and routine. Very good rates! An added plus is that Chris and his crew can board a dog at the last minute in case we have an emergency. I trust Chris and his employees explicitly with our dogs and our house! Chris is also a very well read, traveled, cultured musician with a fascinating life. My dogs are in interesting company - kinda jealous!
The team at Peticular Charm has been great! We use them for daily walks, doggy daycare once a week, and they also watched our 8 month old puppy when we were out of town for a week. They sent daily pictures and videos so that we knew our puppy was having a good time. Honestly, I think our puppy would rather live with his friends from Peticular Charm than us!
We met Chris while he was out walking one of his clients and enjoyed talking with him so much, we decided he would be our new dog walker. He is reliable and wonderful with our scaredy-pup. I've recommended him to our neighbors and friends, and we rest easy when we leave town knowing Chris is looking in on our pup.

I love Everything about the Columbia Camp Bow Wow!! I love that you guys have indoor and outdoor facilities that my Comet can access on his own. I love the additional activities you offer which gives him the opportunity to have alone time with the staff cause he thrives on the human touch. I love that Camp Bow Wow offers bathing and grooming services - now my boy can have everything done under one roof and I don’t have to stress about taking him to somewhere else. Plus, as a golden doodle he’s gotten the absolute best grooming at Camp Bow Wow that he’s ever received! I’m so glad we found you guys! 🥰
I'm not the biggest fan of this place and I think you can get better value and experiences elsewhere. My main issue is the lack of enrichment (or restful) activity. Unless for a cost of course because...capitalism? In order for your dog to get any one-on-one time it'll come at a cost. Want a room with a tv? $$$$. Forget to bring a collar? $$$$$. This is a franchised company so the people at the top care less about your dogs, and more about their bottom line. My other issue is with the style of "play" for the dogs. I kept watch on my dog for an entire day while she was at daycare and not once did she get a chance to nap. There's nowhere for the dogs to take a breather away from the hoopla and the employees look incredibly bored to be there. Of course your dogs come home tired, they're probably delirious out of their minds after wandering in circles all day. For $40 there are plenty of other options in the area, heck there's a competitor next door. Can't say I recommend it here.
My big, goofy pup LOVES going to Camp Bow Wow in Columbia, and I love that he comes home worn out after a day full of play. After all, a tired dog is a good dog. The facility is staffed with friendly folks who seem to really care about the dogs. We have used them for daycare, bathing, and overnight boarding and recommend their services without hesitation.
My fur baby and grand dog had an interview with Camp Bow Wow to board for 4 days. The camp offer free 1-day daycare, as part of the interview, to see if my babies' demeanors would fit in with the other dogs. The camp provides live video to observe your baby while in their care. My babies did well and I'm so impressed with the care and observation the camp employees displayed. I loved this experience. I would recommend their services for boarding and daycare without hesitation.
Happy Saturday! We absolutely love and adore Columbia Bow! The customer service and love and attention they give our dog is consistently and absolutely phenomenal! Special kudos to Jen and Trish for always rockin ! Customer service …love and attention at its very best ! Strongly recommend as they have new facilities..excellent staff who provide excellent care and wonderful activities and the cameras and the pictures they share are an extra special touch …the entire Rome jr family love y’all and DJ gives extra smooches !
From beginning to end a wonderful experience. We’ve moved around and have had four groomers and three daycares as a result in the last eight years. Nothing will beat this. The first groomer that does not have a horrible time with this little challenger, and he came out so happy and calm. So clean. Great staff! The interview process was so professional and transparent. Focused on the dog and their well being. I’m so thankful we found this place. Again, Best. Groomer. Ever.
I don’t post reviews, but I am pretty upset about this. I am new to the area and boarded my dog for 2 nights. She is an easy, confident, well socialized dog and is used to dog daycare and has been boarded several times for as long as 10 days without any issues. When I picked her up from this facility, she had crusted diarrhea and blood in her fur, red and crusted lips, and smelled like feces and blood. We had forgotten her food at home and they did let us know she could have some GI distress with this. We were not concerned because she has tolerated abrupt food changes in the past, and the facility uses Purina which is the brand we use at home. Regardless, I get it, abrupt food changes can cause a lot of problems and that’s on us. However, nobody mentioned she was having severe, bloody diarrhea. Never had an accident in the house, and now she can’t take more than a few steps without leaking. After a $500 ER visit for rectal bleeding and dehydration, I called the facility to ask if they had an issues with her - they said no. Really? I seriously don’t know how nobody noticed between the dried poop and blood in her fur, her pooping pure liquid every 5 minutes, and the extremely potent smell. So they are either inattentive with the dogs or they are lying. I was also overcharged, asked about this, and he said he’d have a manager call me to arrange a reimbursement for the amount I was overcharged. I have not received a call.
Our 11-year-old pup has been going to camp since he was six months old, and he LOVES it. They take such great care of him, I love that I can watch him on the cameras, and he sleeps so well when he gets home!
I would caution all people considering going to do more research into this locations policies. I have taken my dog to Camp Bow Wow in another state and had nothing but positive experiences so I was looking forward to have one nearby after moving. When I got my dog home I noticed a large gash in her ear which was luckily superficial , but no employee noticed or mentioned it when i picked her up or called later (this was far larger and deeper than normal rough play scratches). There is a couple things that is different about this location. There was no introduction to the new pack of dogs just having her join all the group, which is not the end of the world since she is very socially adjusted but some dogs dont mesh so you never know. HOWEVER this place only has one worker per 25 dogs meaning there are way too many dogs to stop play if it gets too rough or pay attention to all of them. To put it in perspective all other day cares my dog has attended limits 10 or 15 per person and the recommendation by the International Boarding and Pet Care Services Association is 1 to 15 depending on temperament. Additionally their daily dog limit is 145 (on the phone they said the highest they ever had was 130) but they only have two large outdoor spaces and one small out door space plus what looked to be only one to two large dog indoor space and one for small dog meaning when I looked on the screen a single room (smaller sized room that my last location) had what I counted as over 45 dogs with only two employees. I recommend finding another daycare with more space, less dogs, or more staff because the combination of those three factors is honestly dangerous.
Our dog has enjoyed Camp Bow Wow for 8 months now and he really seems to enjoy it. We’ve used other places in the past, but prefer Camp Bow Wow because he gets to stay out in a common play area for very nearly the entire time he’s there. We also like the web cams and the fact that they don’t charge any fee for picking our dog up early. They also offer a free day if you bring in proof that your dog has been vaccinated for K9 influenza which I think is really great. It makes it a safer environment for all the dogs.
We love boarding our dog, Indy, at Rivermist Pet Lodge. She enjoys it there and the pickup/drop off service is great. Thanks Ashley! We really appreciate the photos they send while we're far away but see she's doing great and happy. She gets lots of play time with other dogs which helps with her ability to socialize when we get her back and go to the park.
Rivermist is an amazing place! They host the cutest events every month & it’s clear the staff truly care about the pets under their care. My pets have been using Rivermist for daycare almost every day & my dogs are always happy and excited to go in! 10/10 recommend
We have been entrusting Rivermist Pet Lodge with our dogs, Astro and Arya, for over two years and we have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of service and the support the team provides! One of our dogs is more challenging than most and the team has been more than capable of recommending sound options which have made our pet, the team, and us as pet parents feel very comfortable throughout every stay. Rivermist Pet lodge is the best! We booked a week stay for our 5 yorkies while we were away on the vacation. Our dogs really enjoyed their stay at Rivermist. We called the lodge while on vacation to see how the dogs were making out since this was their first time staying away from home. Rivermist gave us an update on the dogs and sent us pictures. We highly recommend Rivermist Pet Lodge for your pets needs.
Bella really enjoys going to daycare. She gets excited and heads straight to the car when she sees her lunch bag. She doesn’t hesitate to jump out the car when we arrive. I’ve had experiences where I had to trick her to get out the car but not at Rivermist. I get great reports that she does well with other dogs and people and they tell me all the time that they just love her. Plus I know that she had a great time because a good dog is a tired dog.
We never left our dogs in boarding before and had a terrible time making plans for them at home when we were out of town. Rivermist has exceeded our expectations in every way, and as made us feel incredibly comfortable leaving our fur-babies. They are well cared for, have fun and get exercise, and come back clean and happy every time. Our vacations become their vacations too! I could not recommend them more!
Rivermist takes excellent care of my two Portuguese Water Dogs. It’s great to have an attentive and trusted place for them to stay.
We love Rivermist Pet Lodge. We have had our Siberian Husky Ares board their 2X. The staff is professional and we appreciate that. One thing I will say is we booked an 8 day boarding reservation for him, and chose the Pawstivley Perfect package which is a little more expensive but we wanted to be updated with Ares day to day routine. Where there can be room for improvement is in the report cards. I love that they document his playtime and who he’s playing with, but I would also like to know if he’s eating and drinking ok and his all around behavior with staff and other animals. Secondly, I was told that pictures would be uploaded about every 3 days. We only received 2 pics but in both pics he was obviously having a ball! I just would’ve liked more pics. I know it’s probably difficult to get pics on all dogs that are boarding but it would be nice if you’re paying for premium package. Another suggestion is cameras in his kennel area. So we can check on him too and see how he’s doing. All in all we feel Rivermist takes exceptional care of our Ares and we are grateful for their services. We would recommend them to anyone who asks. They also have grooming services and daycare which are top notch! Thanks again for taking great care of our baby boy.
Excellent care and concern for our pit-mix. She smelled so nice after her bath. The staff are professional and very diligent. Rivermist is the best. They will be our go to kennel from now on.
Our sweet border collie, at 14, is slowing down. She doesn't take well to strangers, especially when it comes to bath time. However, I never worry when she receives her "spa treatment" at Rivermist. All staff treat her gently and patiently, like she was their pet. No rushing or pulling which can make her anxious. Can't say how much I appreciate that. They truly love animals.
