I had a troubling experience with Victoria that I feel is necessary to share because I believe it’s important for others in this community to be aware of what happened.   Victoria informed me she was leaving day 6 into an 18 day stay with a little more than 12 hours notice while I was 600 miles away with no backup plan for our dog Jackson.    The first few days with Jackson went well. She communicated when I reached out along with pictures of them laying together on the couch and getting along very well.  On day 6 she texted me to say Jackson had growled at her while physically trying to get him up from laying on her.  She said she was frightened and asked if I had anyone else that could watch him.   I immediately called her to try to understand what happened and explained that he was most likely startled rather than wanting to attack her. As I was asking questions about the incident, as I felt I had a right to do, she became extremely defensive and yelled at me on the phone. Admittedly my voice was heightened due to panic but I did not yell. I was simply trying to understand the extreme change in her demeanor from previously texting me she doesn’t easily get flustered, stressed or live in fear to being so frightened she wanted to leave. Knowing my questions upset her I apologized however after ending our call she immediately texted and said she was leaving at 10am.   Despite repeatedly telling her that my son, who lives nearby, was out of town, and that I had no other options, she showed no consideration for my situation. Her decision to simply leave our dog stranded was incredibly distressing. I had to cancel my evening plans to find alternate arrangements for the remainder of our trip, which, happens to be my other son’s wedding.   While there are other details that aren’t directly related to her pet-sitting duties, I believe it’s important to highlight the lack of professionalism and consideration she showed. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision through my experience.

An enjoyable stay. Miss Mercedes and Miss Frasquita were beautiful albeit timid Pusses - Mother & Daughter duo it is supposed. Mercedes warmed fairly quickly but Frasquita remained out of sight during our whole week. Don't be deterred. They were easy to look after and their Parents, a very nice couple who were very good with communication & encouragement, were able to relax on their well earned holiday. Thank you E&D.

Jessica and Patrick were kind and communicative, and provided all the information I needed to care for Fry and Leela, the most adorable, affectionate, and amusing brother and sister you'll ever meet. I would happily stay with them again.

A lovely week spent in the Cotswolds. I absolutely adored Wellie and was genuinely sad to leave him at the end of the sit. Deborah has a lovely home and gorgeous gardens. She left ample instructions for how to manage the animals and was easy to contact during the stay. All of the animals were easy to take care of and very loving. Jasper the cat was a character as were the piglets.
I would highly recommend this sit.
I would love to come back at some point :-)

Seb has all the characteristics of a good dog: intelligent, sensitive, playful outside but very calm indoors, obedient and with a sense of humor. It was a joy to look after him!
Joan and Bob are very loyal hosts, they made me feel welcome before we even met. On arrival I was invited to a wonderful meal and again the evening before I left. Pure indulgence.
Besides that, the apartment is very warm and cozy, and the views of the Portobello promenade and the sea are amazing.
A unique experience.

Basil is a great dog. The area is central and has a vibrant inner city vibe. Do be careful with parking as the rules are complicated in the area. Lien is a great host!

We so enjoyed our weekend with Mahina, Neptune and the chickens, in Keara and Tyson’s comfortable home. From start to finish, communication was easy and the animals a joy to be with. Mahina is a gentle giant; so well-behaved. She cleverly tapped the front door handle to alert us if she needed a bathroom break. We enjoyed exploring Oceanside but are favourite past time was hanging in the back yard oasis with all the brood. The chickens were fun to watch, especially the inquisitive and confident Goldie, and were pretty easy to herd back into their coop.
Thank you, Keara and Tyson, for selecting us!
