We couldn’t have been happier finding Richard and Sarah to take care of our two small dogs. From their initial communication till the moment we met them, we felt their warmth and professionalism. Alice was the best!! She took care of Rufus for four weeks, she would send constant messages with pictures, and made sure that my dog Rufus was getting enough activity. My flight back got canceled so I ended up arriving a day later and Alice was able to accommodate and help with the stress of a last minute canceled flight. She was clean and organized and I came back to an apartment in perfect conditions. I give Alice a 10/10 stars and I would definitely invite her to sit again if she’s ever in SF again!
Tiffany was a very reliable, caring and engaged pet sitter for us. She did two interviews with us (the second one being the orientation to our home & pets) and came with excellent and thoughtful questions always keeping our pets in mind. She was quick to get our system for our pets and our home. She was responsive to us while we were away and sent pics of our babies. I’ve boarded my dog here twice and both times she has done well. Her personality can be a bit picky and stubborn, but the staff was able to work with her and understand her personality in order give her the care and attention/ or space she needed. She has also been groomed here and that was good. I am satisfied with the service here. Thank you!
We had an amazing experience at Island Pet Resort. They accommodated my family's 5 doxies last minute. They administered medication, and gave them lots of playtime and love. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my dogs! We highly recommend and look forward to using them again!

Gross Negligence! My dog was seen at this facility on June 12th, 2022 to be dematted and groomed. It was at this time that she was severely cut by one of the groomers. Upon taking my dog to the Animal Hospital it was discovered that she was cut so deep that her muscle was exposed. My dog was required to undergo surgery where pieces of dead and infected muscle and skin were removed from the wound, further requiring 7 stitches to seal the wound after surgery. This resulted in a $1,200 Vet Bill AND both my boyfriend and I had to take the entire day off of work. I reached out to Island Pet Resort to request that they reimburse me for the vet bill and was immediately told no. I'm so disappointed. I've had great experiences boarding with them in the past but I no longer trust them to care for any of my animals. Mistakes happen but when they do happen it's important to make it right and Island Pet Resort DID NOT do that.
Island pet resort is an amazing place.They boarded my furry baby from 10/7 to10/12 and they took care of my baby like their own. My furry baby is diabetic with dry eyes. She also has food allergies. They accommodated all her needs and provided her insulin shot, gave Yoko her eyes drops and followed her special diet. The owner and the staff were extremely friendly and dedicated to my baby . They provided me with pictures and updates of her almost every day She was so excited in all the pictures that showed me she was in good hands . Dawn and Tyrese were simply amazing . I really appreciated everything they did for her . I definitely recommend this place to everyone . Thanks Tawina & Yoko
The dog loves going to Island Pet Resort. He suffers from separation anxiety but at I Pet Resort he feels safe. The staff cares for him as his own. I definitely recommend Island Pet Resort.
Freya absolutely loves the facility and staff. She practically jumps out of the car when she realizes where we are Drop her on my way to work and she is absolutely exhausted when she gets home, which is exactly what we both need for her to get exercise and attention while I'm not home. They are also accommodating when I have to work late and can't make it on time. Plus, it's close to home and on my way to the Ferry. This is her within 15 minutes after getting home.
My doggie, Chancho, is a 2yr old pit. He is big and sounds scary, but he’s our baby!! A lot of places won’t take our breed. The Island Pet Resort takes all kinds of breeds of dogs and other animals (there was a beautiful giant rabbit staying there when we dropped off!) When we went on a family vacation and had no one to watch Chancho, we left him at the Island Pet Resort. We were like first time parents dropping a child at school.. Jason was totally understanding. Picked up when we called every day of the week to check on our baby! He was honest when he would update me on how my dog got along with other dogs and how he acted on a leash (we knew!!) As crazy and hyper as my doggie can be, Jason and the staff there are so so good with dogs & knowledgeable! (Gave us some great training tips!) Chancho was clean and happy when we picked him up and had a great time there with his friends! Price was totally reasonable for a full week. Chancho will be back!
First time here and I was very impressed by the staff and facilities. I was shown the entire facility by the owner. Very clean and organized place. Great prices and took excellent care for my Siberian Husky Toby. He will be staying here again in 2 weeks. I made them give Toby a bath and good brushing and he looks great. I am glad I found Island Pet Resort ☺
*Updated review: We brought Missy here several times and things were fine until the last couple of stays. One day we went to pick her up and she was never taken out of her harness and had chewed through it. The last time we were there, we went to pick her up and the person at the counter had no idea which dog was ours. He left the room and we were easily able to go and get her ourselves, which should never have happened. We brought our puppy for an overnight stay because we had a last minute trip come up. Everyone was so helpful and really caring. Missy had a great time and next time she needs daycare or boarding, it will be here. Thanks for taking such great care of our girl!
Took my dog here for the first time today and couldn't be happier! Super fast service and very friendly employees. The groomer was great with my dog, who's usually a nervous pooch. Will definitely bring her back here again. Thank you Dusty's!
My pup loves this place! We use for boarding as well as daycare and they take such great care of all the dogs. The facility is clean and perfect for dogs to have a safe, good time away from home whether it's a few hours or days. The staff is awesome and very knowledgeable on dog care. I can't thank them enough!
I adopted a dog recently who was boarding at Dusty's. I live over an hour away, but continue to use Dusty's whenever I need to board him because he loves it there so much. It is clean, modern and I enjoy checking the live cam to see what the dogs are up to (I don't always see my dog, but it is entertaining just the same!) Frank and his team have been great and I am thankful to them for giving my dog a stable loving environment before I adopted him.
We used their services in October 10th 2024 for boarding our two healthy 9-month husky dogs, fully vaccinated. After 7 days, they came home with coughs, chills, a fever and weakened. By Oct 27th 2024 we've spent $1500 in medical bills for ER Visits and Vet Dr follow-ups for tests & treatments. Both facilities confirmed our dogs contracted 2 kennel virus. We are actively reporting to various health inspection agencies to ensure future health safety is compliant for the benefit of other dog owners as well as helping Dusty's Dog House owners/managers improve their sanitary conditions/management.
We love this place! No fuss great for weekend trips. Our dog always comes in excited and gets to play with other dogs. They are great with last minute changes and reasonably priced compared to other dog boarding places
I had high hopes for this doggy daycare as it received high ratings here on the app but unfortunately, this daycare isnt well suited with my dog. I was monitoring the live cam to the play room and noticed that there were no activities for the dogs. Most of them were just walking idly and laying down of boredom. My dog didnt seem like he was having fun. When I picked him up, he was so tired and lethargic, opposite to his energetic and playful personality. If you dont mind your dogs being idle the whole day, this daycare wont be an issue for you. But I prefer mine running and playing around in a daycare. More power to this daycare tho! Wish them the best.
Terrible, My dog was left for two nights and returned with a horrible rash. He was fine right before. All they could say to me was that it was normal and to seek a vet.
The staff was very accommodating for me in my situation. On a walk in we were in and out only after 10 minutes of paperwork. They have different options for dogs with needs for staying alone and dogs who can socialize for day care. It's very affordable at only $26. There is also a grooming option if needed. I'll always make sure to come back here whenever I'm in NJ and the area around NYC. Thank you so much!
I wouldn’t trust my dog anywhere else! Frank, the owner, genuinely cares for the dogs in Dusty’s care. The workers are animal loving staff that take pride in the care they provide for your pet. Even if your dog doesn’t get along with others, they accommodate. Honestly, they are one of the most accommodating businesses out there. Whether it’s boarding or daycare, you can trust them to be transparent, responsible, quick, and most of all, worth it.
Dusty’s dog house is wonderful and very patient and kind. The first time I brought my pups to them they took such good care of my furry babies. Everyone is so friendly. We brought them to Dusty’s dog house again just recently and I know they are being well taken care of. I would highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you Dusty’s Dog House! 😊
Jen was amazing with my Poppa. She fed him and gave him a blanket to sleep with (even though he didn’t). She also updated me throughout the day with the cutest pictures and videos of my dog which I greatly appreciated. I will definitely be booking with her again
Jen was very helpful through out the entire process with taking car of my dog Milo. She provided me with video and pictures of Milo to assure me that he is okay and in good hands!! That was a big plus for me since Milo is a big part of our family. I would highly recommend her to friends and family. I will be using her in the future again
Jen groomed both of my 2 year-old Cane Corsos today… they are fairly high energy and she was alone… I was a bit anxious over it but knowing she takes care of my best friend’s dog, I chilled out… and it was ALL worth it because my babies were good and came out of her place calm and clean and nails clipped and that is something that is NOT easy to do! I’d go back a million times over! My two are camera shy but I have pics of them not from today… Caspia is on the left and Roman is on the right ♥️♥️
I reached out to Jen’s Pet Care to have someone check in on our cat. Jen stopped by twice a day to change litter, fill the water bowl, and give insulin shots twice per day. She sent me pics of our cat each time she visited which was really nice. I highly recommend her and plan to use her again around Christmas time.

Jen is great! She’ll update you with pictures, she’s very responsive and patient when it comes to any questions you have, my 135 pound Rottweiler Phoenix did great with her and he’s not normally good with strangers. I left him with her overnight as a last minute plan and she thankfully accommodated for me when it came to drop off/pick up times. I’m so glad I gave her services a chance, & I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again :)

Colleen was so attentive & went above and beyond everyday to take care of our pup while we were away. She has a real heart for what she does & you can tell she treats each animal as a real loved and catered to pet. She was communicative & so caring. If pets could talk they would tell you to bring them to Colleen!

Not only is she a great dog walker but she's also a lifesaver for boarding at her location, checking up on cats at our place when we're away and pick up & drop off for vet appointments & grooming. But, the amazing thing is she also understands animal behavior in ways, I don't even think our vet does. Colleen has been amazing! We adopted a sweet but rowdy young stray dog about a year ago and were a little overwhelmed with helping her learn how to live in a house. Colleen helped us with leash training, socialization, and overall behavior and really helped us understand what we needed to do to train and connect with our dog. Colleen also does walks throughout the week and her visits are the highlight of our pup’s day! 10 out of 5 stars!

Colleen is the best dog walker! I always feel comfortable knowing she is taking care of my dog. She’s been walking and watching him for 10 years and I wouldn’t want anyone else taking care of him. She’s reliable, reasonably priced, so sweet, and my dog is obsessed with her which makes all of it even better. Definitely highly recommended!
We have used Pet Concierge since 2014. Colleen Martin has taken exceptional care of our dog and two cats. She has walked our dog on a weekly basis and is helpful in discussing behavior and health issues as he ages. Colleen has also taken out pets to the vet for routine and crisis healthcare. And she has dropped off and picked up for grooming appointments.
Colleen is absolutely wonderful! She came to us as a referral from neighbors and we couldn’t be more grateful. Not only does she walk our very energetic pup several times a week but she also does boarding which gives such peace of mind when we’re away. We’ve recommended her to friends and colleagues!
Esther and Udi are the best!!! I recently adopted Lily and was nervous about how she would react to going to doggy day care after being returned twice to a shelter :( I work a lot and I feel at ease knowing that Lily is well taken care of and that she is spending the time that I’m at work with all of her friends. Lily is always happy to see them during drop off! Esther is great at communicating and she always sends me pics of my crazy girl. Pet getaway is the best!! They have also taken care of Lily when I’ve been out of town and knowing she’s in good hands is the best feeling. So thankful to have them in my area.
What a true gift Esther and Udi are! I had to leave my 2 dogs, Max and Clyde, at their first ever boarding experience for one week and The Pet Getaway made it such a smooth experience. Their care and gentleness with my little ones was immediately apparent. I loved how communicative they were and how naturally they connected with Max and Clyde. I am truly looking forward to relying on them future. It’s so hard to find such attentive pet care and I am grateful I found them!
I cannot sing their praises enough- I am beyond thrilled with the care and attention (and love!) our dog Marty revived during his week-long stay. From the timely updates via text messages to the most adorable pics sent on a daily basis that assured me that Marty wasn’t merely being boarded, but rather, ADORED, truly put me at ease while I was out of town. Lastly- he made some furry new friends as well! All my pet mama guilt for boarding my dog vanished away; if anything, I knew I had given Marty a wonderful week of being cared for at the highest level. 🐶❤️

We've had our dog for 10 years and this is our favorite place we've ever used for boarding! They are very responsive and easy to communicate with. More importantly, they take extremely good care of our dog and really care about his overall well-being. It's so nice to have some peace of mind when we're away because we know he is in the best hands. Our dog gets excited whenever he gets to stay here since he has such a good time. Highly recommend!
Esther and Udi, are so amazing with our dog Dougie. He’s always so happy to see them and comes home so happy and exhausted when he’s there. They’re so attentive and always send hilarious videos and pictures of Dougie. He has stayed for the afternoon and/or evening and also for several days when we’ve gone out of town. It’s so great that I just know he’s in wonderful hands when he’s there, which makes being on vacation so much more relaxing.
TOP NOTCH!! They are lifesavers! Was in a jam and needed last minute boarding and they came through big time. Took great care of my dog Cookie, she seemed happier than she has ever been in boarding. Vito LOVES going to day care and as a puppy I think it’s been really good for his social development. Having hired random people off rover.com I can say that Esther and Ari are the only people I’ve actually felt 100% ok leaving Vito with. They send great update photos throughout the day and Vito always rushes to greet them when I drop him off so I know he loves it.
The Pet Getaway is the best place to leave your dog in Brooklyn. They take phenomenal care of your dog, and are a much better option than a big kennel. Your dog receives genuine care- is not in a cage, and receives frequent walks and playtime. I couldn’t be happier with their service and would recommend them to anyone looking for the best care for their dog while away. They even send you regular photo updates while you’re away which always puts you at ease. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for them as a frequent traveler. I feel like my dog Ollie is getting a vacation of his own.
About a year ago, our old dog sitter cancelled last minute and Esther came to the rescue! On first meeting, Scout was immediately comfortable (maybe too comfortable lol). Since then, we trust Esther every time we need someone to watch him. She treats Scout like her own and he is so happy to see her every time we drop him off! Would recommend to anyone.
We’ve brought our 60 lb GS mixed boy here multiple times for both daycare and boarding. He’s a nervous one but warmed up to all the staff immediately. He loves it so much that when we pick him up he does his business outside and then immediately wants to go back. And he’s a Velcro boy that usually wants to be right up our butts 24/7 (ex: he’s laying directly under my computer chair as I write this). It’s also great that you’re able to see the space and it isn’t hidden behind doors. I tried another spot that was closer to home one time and everything was behind frosted glass so you couldn’t even see the area (and they didn’t even offer me a tour like Paws and Rec did). I don’t know what went on while he was with them but he couldn’t wait to leave that other place. Paws and Rec is also great at posting. On vacation it’s always nice to pull up instagram and see your dog having fun while you are. Overall I can’t recommend Paws and Rec enough and would bring him there every day if our budget would allow❤️
The Paws & Rec team is fantastic with our pup, Skye. She is pretty happy boarding there (she’s very attached to her home so she’s not thrilled to be away anywhere) and they take great care of her. The grooming is excellent as well!
I highly recommend Paws & Rec center to all dog parents. The facility is huge, very clean. I love their backyard, dogos are soo happy and free to do what dogos do. They also have pool parties on Saturday. The staff and management are extremely professional and welcoming. My baby Elvis has been there a few times and he's come back home soo so happy and tired from all the playing. If you're looking for a great day care for your future babies, look no further, this is the place for your dogo!
We LOVE Paws and Rec and so does our 13 month old Golden Doodle Bella. We first used them for boarding for an overnight stay. We then did progressively longer stays - a weekend, a week and finally two weeks. While she definitely missed us, she absolutely loves going there. She runs in whenever we bring her (vs lets say, the vet). While we're away we live for the photos of her having fun with her buddies on Paws & Recs' instagram account. It helps us manage how much we miss her. And then there's the option of getting her cleaned before we pick her up, which is also really nice. We've recently started using them for day care as we've had to go back to the office and she loves it. Again, she's excited to go in and see her buddies. She's anxious to be let through the gate so she can play. When I go pick her up, she's excited to see me and SO pooped. I bring her home and she passes out after dinner. And frankly, I LOVE IT. I don't have to worry about how much or little she played and spend the little energy I have left after work on trying to entertain her.
We have had a wonderful experience with Paws and Rec. We originally chose it because it had real outdoor space where she could do her business (as opposed to other places where this really did not exist in a meaningful way) and were very happy with the whole ethos of the place and the service we received. We have dropped our dog there multiple times for boarding when we go on vacation and she has always come back in good shape, tired and happy. We only wish it was closer to where we live in Brooklyn, but have made the trek due to the positive experience.
Still my go to for weekend boarding and grooming. They are very good with my dog (who can be reactive). I know they will give him TLC and that he will be calm and happy when I pick him up.
We LOVE Paws & Rec! What a find- Bailey has a great time when she's there and gets to socialize with other dogs. The best part is that she is not left alone overnight. And seeing pictures while Bailey is in action makes me smile! The folks at P&R are loving and genuinely care about our furry babies. Highly recommend!!!
We found Paws and Rec after a few failed attempts at boarding and day care for our pup. The staff are great - knowledgeable and genuinely caring for the dogs there. There are windows, a lot of light, room to play, and a great backyard for running around. So happy we found this place, and we have used them pretty much since they opened. Highly recommend.
I couldn't recommend Paws & Rec more highly! Our dog is epileptic and requires medicine 3 times a day. We had never boarded him before because we worried about him being alone overnight. The fact that Paws & Rec has someone sleep with the dogs they board was SUCH a relief to us. Our dog was SO well taken care of and we will be clients for life!
We have used Paws & Rec's dog walking and boarding services and have been completely satisfied. When our dog had some behavioral issues, their team worked with us to accommodate his needs. Jenny and team were also always extremely communicative and open with feedback on what would work best for our specific schedules and issues, which helped us develop a great system and sense of trust.
Nicole welna review I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My kitty, Zero, took to her almost immediately and enjoyed every moment with her once he loosened up (this was the first time he had been away from me). Nicole always sent live photos for me to observe every visit. She has such a way with animals. I appreciate Nicole’s extremely responsible nature. There was never a cancellation, or lateness. Nicole was flexible with my needs and schedule, and added a visit for the first few days-upon my request- which I did not originally schedule. Zero’s needs were priority at every visit. Nicole took care of him as if he were her own. As well, my house and belongings were just as clean and intact as before I left for vacation. It was a long 10 days I was away from my cat, but he was in as great of shape (or even better) than when I left! Nicole kept me updated everyday and never failed to answer a message from me. I had absolutely NO concerns about her cat-sitting my cat. Zero was well-fed and played with. I’m so grateful to Nicole because my vacation would not have been as enjoyable as it was unless my cat was happy back at home. I am convinced my cat still misses her! I would never hesitate to call her when I need a sitter, and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a pet sitter. I hear she is really good with dogs and other animals too! And I wouldn’t doubt it! Please call or text Nicole when you need to go out of town and your animal needs care. She is the one!!!! 10/10 !!! Nicole is a god-send! I feel so safe leaving my dog with her, she’s responsible and always willing to help. Nicole and the service she provides is a fun and easy-going experience for those that call her, and their pet. From the initial meeting, you really get a feel of how professional Nicole is. Ensuring that Nicole is a good fit for our pups was super important and she understood that. She keeps them happy, gives them all the love they deserve, and not to mention the energy! Erika is a life saver. She is professional, helpful, compassionate, and genuinely loves my dog like her own. She documents everything in a notebook so I know exactly when she came, what my dog did, how it went etc. I am the most overprotective dog mum ever and Erika puts me at ease. I could not have found a better person to care for my pup when I am away. My dog has complex medical needs and Erika handles medication changes, food changes, etc so so well. We brought our beloved little 7 year old Yorkie Carl to Animal Loving Care last month and I haven’t stopped talking about it since. My partner had a tragic incident with a dog walker years ago, so she (understandably) finds it hard to trust anyone with our baby boy and these people were beyond thoughtful, communicative, professional and fun! We love ALC!! Our 6lb Chihuahua, Audrey, can’t contain her excitement when we walk up to their door- like she makes excited noises I don’t hear her make anywhere else and she can’t wait to run in! Audrey went through a little tough period with fear and ALC was more than helpful with her needs and making sure she had all she needed for a positive experience at daycare. The ALC staff is always super communicative, friendly, and you can tell they really love what they do, which is exactly what you look for when trusting someone with your furbaby. I also love seeing our girl playing throughout the day on their Instagram🤩 We just got another puppy and can’t wait for her to join in the fun!
Animal Loving Care is paradise for dogs. It’s a beautiful space and my pug could not be more excited to go there. When we walk in the general vicinity of ALC, she pulls us there. She comes home tired, happy, and calm. The staff is caring, personable, and always remembers her name. Yesterday, my pug brought her dog walker to the front door and refused to leave. That’s how much she loves it. They post great videos on their instagram of the dogs playing and it’s so fun to watch. We’re lucky to have such a wonderful place for dog daycare in the neighborhood.
Just took our new rescue a 5lbs 7 year old Maltese to get her first grooming under our watch and I am so glad we went to Animal Loving Care. Our groomer was and now is Analise, who took great care not only with our beloved dog but myself and my partner as owners. We were more nervous than our dog, whom we knew would be squiggly when it came to sheers and clippers, but Analise's communication and ability to make us feel calm and confident in leaving our pet with her for a few hours was exactly what we needed. Our result was picture perfect and exactly what we had hoped for. The price also isn't nearly as high as you might think for what they do. I feel great about this place and their services.

I brought in my mini cockapoo for a haircut and it was lovely! I really liked how his haircut came out. I was also glad that the perfume wasn't as intensely fragrant as other spots.

My dog loves her daily walks with Jen and periodic training sessions with Tony! Dan and the team are professional, responsive, and most importantly, kind and caring. We love Dan's! :) We hired Dan's for behavioral training for our 50lb lab mix. He is very reactive with other dogs, trucks, sometimes kids - so wanted help with controlling that behavior. Tony is a fantastic trainer. Really thorough, knowledgeable, and patient. After even just a few sessions we learned so many skills to help manage our dog's behavior better. In addition, the Dan's team were timely, thorough and kind. Great people and great service. You can trust your pup is in good hands.
Dan’s Pet Care has been a lifesaver while we were working from home and even more so while we’re heading back to the office. Tony the Head Trainer has basically become Pancho’s godfather and he comes with the added bonus of being an outstanding photographer. Dan’s is an all around joy. They’re reliable, easy to get in touch with and the training services are competitively priced. Before we started one on one training with Tony they did a consult and meet and greet which really gave me a bigger picture of the services they offer, their qualifications and most importantly I could gauge whether they were a good fit for my dog and I. With that said, Tony is easy going, qualified but more importantly provides me with training tips that are attainable and has provided me with valuable insight into developing a great relationship with my dog, Bryce. Within one session I already see the progress Bryce and I have made in our daily walks and look forward to continued training.

I am a brand new puppy owner. I never grew up with dogs. I had a hodgepodge of information, from a variety of schools of thought when I reached out to Dan’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. My little dog Indie is experiencing some pretty severe separation anxiety, and I have been at a loss. In defeat and desperation I reached out to Dan’s, and their confidence immediately lifted my spirits. My first meeting with them was a home visit including the trainer, the office manager, and the founder himself, Dan. I was already pretty taken with the care of that first meeting. Now, my trainer and dog walkers are all in the same company. The walkers communicate with the trainer, and Indie gets the best care I could ever ask for. Now, the walks. I am astounded by the service Dan’s provides. It’s PREMIUM. There are multiple former vet techs on staff, including Dan himself. The trainer is sometimes the one who is walking Indie. I receive notice when the walk begins, photos are sent to me, I see on a map where they walk to, and I get extensive and thoughtful feedback on how the walk went with Indie. I am floored, and my stress levels have gone down considerably. Dan said to me at our first meeting, “this is a group of people who really love animals,” and I see it fully expressed through the service they provide. I cannot wait for Indie and I to train with Dan’s, and cannot recommend them highly enough!
