This was my second time using John and Ilhaam; they were great… again! They were here for a much shorter stay this time and were able to roll with some timing changes and a quick pop-in to our home that I needed to make happen. It was nice to have them back and their familiarity with our pets was very helpful. John even made a repair to our toilet paper holder that I greatly appreciated!! They are tidy, dependable and nice 😊.

I had a great time in Bratislava. Mary was was very welcoming and generous. We walked Lily together the first day and we had a lovely evening before she left. Lily is a super friendly dog and we were great pals from the start. She loves everything and especially food. There are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby and easy walking distance to the historic centre. Thank you Mary for a great sitting opportunity.

Amber and Hiedi
It was a pleasure to house sit for Amber and Heidi. They were available to provide all the necessary information prior to and during the house sit: including travel and everything needed to know about their dogs schedule and personalities. The dogs are entertaining to spend time with, super loving. The house sit experience was smooth and enjoyable.

Karen
I definitely recommend this sit. Karen and Andrew are lovely hosts, I was at a local sit prior to this and so I met Karen and Hector a few times before the sit, and was invited up to see the house beforehand, as Karen wanted to make sure I was comfortable with it- which I definitely was. It's a stunning house in a gorgeous location well off the beaten track. It felt incredibly safe.
The walks around the land are lovely.
Hector took to me straight away, he's a very sweet and sensitive boy, I think he is very strongly attached to his mum and dad, so he did seem a bit unsettled once they had gone, but he settled after a day. He's a really large dog, and I felt like Karen really made sure I was comfortable with everything before we agreed on the sit, which is good to know she cares about having the right match.
He has his routines and can be quite particular (vocal) about when it's time to play certain games (and when to abruptly end the games haha), or how long you can rest in one spot- he seemed to like to keep it moving when on a walk, unless its heavy fog, which he then enjoys to stare out onto the moors with a mystical expression for a while.
I think his favourite thing to do is to sit outside on the patio with you on the sofas, looking at the view and snoozing. He really does like human company and is happy to relax in the funniest positions while you are around.
He's a very entertaining dog and we really enjoyed our time with him, and will hopefully be back one day to stay with him again.

First sit for me via TrustedHousesitters and extremely grateful to have been selected by Ian and Deena, who could not have made it any easier and welcoming for me.

My arrival was delayed, which I later realized to be a bit inconvenience as they’d kindly planned a welcome dinner with more of an introduction to the immediate vicinity. Hopefully I’ll get to return their warm hospitality one day.

I still miss the sit so I can’t say how wonderful my time with Cookie was.

Beautiful home in such a wonderful location. Neighbors were extremely friendly and offered their kind support/assistance, should it be needed. Walks with the neighbors, four legged friends and a beautiful part of London I got to explore with help from the neighbors and Cookie, which was quickly obvious she knew her neighborhood, locals, dogs and most importantly, the Pub!

Without doubt the best behaved dog I’ve had the pleasure of being introduced too. She has a wonderful personality, a gorgeous and gentle girl with a charming temperament.

I’m hoping I get an invite to go back, in return, we offer Cookie a place and time both in London and our home in Cardiff, for as long as possible! She’s too cute to not have around and missed already!

A perfect sit!

Guy and Caroline did everything possible to make the sit fantastic. Gorgeous house in the English countryside with the very loving Olly and 3 happy hens. A perfect place to relax or use as a base to explore. Short drive to restaurants, pubs and groceries.

Would do another sit here in a heartbeat.

“The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.” — Samuel Butler

Boy oh boy did we have an absolute blast caring for Jack-Jack (dog) and Holly (cat).

Jack-Jack is simply wonderful. A lovable, adorable cuddly ball of affection. Couldn’t get enough of him!

Holly is a total doll, an elegant lady who at 18 years of age sprightly personifies “we are always the same age inside” (Gertrude Stein).

Amanda and Family could not be lovelier humans. Welcoming us into their home with brilliant kindness and generosity. And their lovely, comfortable Maplewood home sits on a street straight from a storybook. Like the house itself - the entire sit was charmed.

If you have the great fortune to sit for Jack-Jack and Holly, run don’t walk to Maplewood!
