We enjoyed a great few days looking after the pets here. Just a brief handover with Sandra and Frank and we immediately felt at home in their lovely house as the cats all welcomed us straight away and were in for all the fuss they could get. The chickens pottered around and did their own thing and were quite happy to go in their run in the evening. We enjoyed the walks nearby and further afield. It’s such a beautiful area to explore. We really recommend this sit.
Oh, where do I begin? This has absolutely been one of the hardest and most rewarding pet sits I've done in the past 3 years. Both my son and I fell in love with the quirky personalities of all the animals. Lucy communicated clearly with me her expectations which made it easy for me to know maintain the home and animals as I had no doubt/question about what was required. I will also add that I didn't feel micro-managed. She gave me the guidelines but also trusted me to use my judgment, which I felt I had the tools to do. Both my son and I experienced deep growth during our stay and her property is nothing short of spectacular. Given the opportunity and timing, we will definitely return <3
One of our favourite petsits!! Owen is SUCH a special kitty, and Karin and James are awesome!! After we arrived, Owen was a bit shy for about 15 mins and then he immediately warmed up and was ready for belly rubs and playtime with his new temporary humans! Owen loves people and hanging out with you, he's pretty much always up for pets and/or playtime. While we worked from home, he was never far away, either snuggled up on the couch with us, snoozing on the coffee table, or relaxing on his window bed overlooking the desk. He's such a character and kept us laughing whenever he got the zoomies, played in the sink water, or went dashing through his tunnel. Even though he's only a year old and super playful, Owen is really gentle and it feels like he wants to make sure he never accidentally hurts you while playing 🥹 Like owners, like cat - Karin and James are great too! You can tell they adore Owen but they're also easygoing and great to communicate with, and really welcoming. We forgot a few things and they had them all ready for us when we went back later to get them. We hope to be back to care for Owen again soon! 💕
We had a lovely weekend with sweet boys, Fergus and Harry. Paul and Lucy are relaxed, super friendly hosts. We appreciated and enjoyed, a lovely evening meal together before they departed on their trip. A note was left for pet care . Paul was very responsive to our daily updates whilst away. As previous sitters have said, F&H are a delight to care for and walk. Relaxed on leash, good recall. Both were relaxed with other dogs and humans. Relaxed in the pub and cafe. Lots of evening cuddles to be enjoyed. Fergus slept quietly on the bed and Harry in his own bed and both were easy going in the morning. The house was clean and tidy for our arrival and has everything for a comfortable stay. The interior has a Cotswold Country home vibe. We especially enjoyed the conservatory and log burner. A Spacious lounge and a lovely rear garden to enjoy in the good weather. Great location with easy access to lovely River and Canal walks leading to the City Centre. Worcester offers historical places, canal marina with cafe, brewery, pubs, restaurants, shopping, leisure etc. Sainsbury supermarket is a 5 minute walk. We are returning again, with pleasure. I had so much fun house sitting for Lisa. Lightning is absolutely adorable, and I couldn't stop playing and taking pictures of him. He has so much personality, and I had so many belly laughs spending time with this cute little guy. To make it even better, she got a kitten while I was there, and I got to spend time with the kitten too! Lisa is a wonderful and kind hostess. I was feeling sick--probably some heat exhaustion (Yeah watch out for that desert sun people!) and she brought me some stuff to help me feel better. Communication with her was seamless and we had great interactions. I would definitely, definitely, definitely recommend sitting for her, and tell anyone who gets to they are very lucky.
Raquel is a very thoughtful host who left very clear instructions. Her home is gorgeous, full of books and art, in an very walkable neighborhood of SF with restaurants and coffee. And the most convenient part was that she offered her garage for my car to be parked. Raquel's cats Santana and Stella are wonderful also. Stella is a talker and super friendly. She doesn't like to be picked up, but will cuddle on your legs when you watch tv or relax on the couch and enjoys lots of rubs and being brushed. Santana has the most gorgeous eyes/gaze ... he is a little aloof, but allowed me to come close, give him lots of scratches and pets when I went to him. They are beautiful cats. Highly recommended sit!
