We can’t recommend sitting for for Bubba and Winston enough!

Bubba is an absolute love-bug, and he was so easy to look after. As we were working remotely, we were able to take him out around 9/10am when there are less dogs around. We never experienced any aggressive behaviour with him, but he did show a little agitation and whined when another dog got close, so just having some space is key. As he’s incredibly food motivated, it was easy to distract him and go through some tricks to reshift his attention - he’s honestly so attentive and good at listening! Walking him was incredibly easy too as Lana and Pamela’s apartment backs up onto plenty of green space! During the work day he was very patient, and we’d take breaks together with lots of cuddles and toy tugs. He absolutely loved to tug and hang out on the sofa for hugs and scratches. Overall Bubba is an amazing dog who loves human affection!

Winston was very mellow, easy to please with some scratches and in general likes his space. Occasionally he would want some attention, but it is normally very brief. He loved hanging out on the counter or fridge to watch us and would let us know when he’s hungry in the morning time. He was super easy to look after and incredibly clean.

The apartment and hosts:

Lana and Pamela’s apartment was really great. It has everything you need, is super clean, and has fantastic downtown location. It’s just a 10-12min walk to every T line, grocery shops, and ~20min walk to Beacon Hill area and all the downtown parks to enjoy. The apartment complex felt incredibly safe and Lana and Pamela were always available to answer any questions we had. They were gracious and calm when we had a little mishap, and we would sit for them anytime again!

Tracy
Lovely couple with a beautiful house in a terrific neighborhood close to Colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary. Couple all of that with the very best part of the sit which was the dog, Mello. We enjoyed this sit immensely and would love to return to care for Mello again in the future. This sit was great from beginning to end. We received clear instructions from Tracy and Harold, via phone, in person orientation and a clear house manual. The house and views were beautiful and the neighbors were friendly and welcoming. And taking Mello on long walks through the William and Mary campus and Colonial Williamsburg's charming streets was a true joy every day. Mello was a pleasure to spend time with and he caught the eye of a lot of people in the area because he is such a good looking and well behaved dog. Thanks Tracy, Harold and Mello for allowing us to spend our holidays doing this wonderful sit.

Thomas & Debra
This was a dream housesit! Everything from the house to the owners, to Finn himself - we couldn’t have asked for more.

Thomas and Debra were lovely and friendly and kept in contact throughout, though were never intrusive.

The house is stunning and situated in a beautiful town, a 30 second walk from some enchanting woodlands, as well as a short drive from several other amazing spots.

And as for Finn, well we absolutely fell in love with him and would seriously consider getting a black lab of our own now based on this experience! He is utterly delightful - so loving and affectionate, as well as intelligent, obedient and hilarious! When we left he jumped in the car and we were very tempted to take him with us 😂

This was a truly wonderful housesit and we would do it again in a heartbeat. We *highly* recommend it to anyone else lucky enough to stay here and want to say a massive thank you to Thomas, Debra and Finn for making it such a pleasure!

Twyla
Twyla is a lovely host. Her home is very comfortable. We enjoyed looking after her kitties in Elmvale, which is a cute little town walkable to all the basics.
Lucifer and Emmylulu are very loveable and entertained us in the evenings. They were good company and very easy to look after.
Would definitely recommend this house sit.
