If you are looking for a calm stay with some adorable cats, you should definitely say yes to Brigitte and David! They were wonderful hosts from the beginning: since we started talking they showed flexibility with arrival and departure dates and made the planning of this trip much easier! They came to the airport to pick me up and I got to meet their adorable great grandchildren. Before they left for their vacation they showed me the area, they helped me get a transportation card topped up and ready to use and they showed me some nice spots with restaurants and activities in Nottingham. Brigitte asked and made sure I had everything I needed before they left At the end of my sit, since they couldn’t take me to the station, they took care of getting a taxi for me and getting everything arranged. The cats are such a fun trio to look after. They have such distinct personalities and it’s easy to love all three of them. You might immediately fall in love with Blanca, who will demand to sit on your lap or propped up against your thigh the moment you sit down on the couch. She is an incredible lap cat, and a perfect movie buddy! Leo is such a beautiful orange cat and he has one mission in life: eat all the food he can. He is very fast and WILL succeed occasionally in having a bite of the others’ food, but he is so funny and adorable that you can’t even get mad at him. He also enjoys sharing a bed with a human, so if you like that, he will sleep in the cutest ways next to you! Leyla is the most independent of the three, but after a little bit of time and allowing her her own space, she will start looking for pets as well (if you join her next to the fish pond, chances are she’ll ask for belly rubs!). Brigitte and David’s home is modern, clean and spacious. You have everything you need in the kitchen, their lounge and conservatory are comfortable and cozy, and the guest room is spacious and has an ensuite bathroom. The neighbours next door are really nice and helpful, and will be happy to give you a hand if needed. The house is located in Wollaton, and there’s a couple of bus stops right next to their home. It takes the bus 20-25 minutes to get to the city centre, and it’s an easy and pleasant commute. There’s a convenience store 5 minutes away from their home and a Lidl a 15 minute walk away. I often shopped at the M&S or Tesco downtown and took the bus with my groceries, so you have many easy options to shop! I had a lovely time and I would absolutely recommend anyone to spend some time looking after David and Brigitte’s cats and home. I will miss the little fur babies!
A wonderful experience all around. Lynn and Nancy are an interesting, intelligent, kind and down-to-earth couple. I enjoyed meeting and talking with them. Rocky the Dog is a very sweet boy but a little shy at first so give him a day to warm up. After that he’ll be in your lap sleeping at every opportunity. And if you’re late serving his breakfast, as I was one day after a walk when I first responded to an email, he’ll let you know, which I loved. He's a great eater. Lynn and Nancy’s home is very comfortable and situated in a beautiful community filled with miles of walking trails and paths (and super friendly people). On a clear day you’ll see an unexpected and spectacular view of Mount Rainer from the coffee shop down the street. I completed the sit with my 11-pound dog, Annie, and Rocky was a perfect gentleman. No arguments between them and we all slept happily in the bed together. Annie and got up at 5:30 to 6:00 every day but Rocky likes to sleep in. The three of us walked at least 6 miles every day split between morning and late afternoon/evening. Rocky loves walking and shows no aggression toward any human or canine. Annie and I would definitely like to visit Lynn, Nancy and Rocky if we’re ever through the area again. Thanks, Lynn and Nancy, for inviting Annie and I into your home. Give Rocky a big hug for us, but don’t wake him up early to do it.
Communication before, during and after was great with Sonia and David. All clear stated in the home rules, they explained me everything once I came to their home. They asked me if I could stay one more day, and I did. Explanation of the home and location were exact as it was on the listing. Great experience overall. Highly recommend them as great host. I’ll miss my time with Colette, for sure.
Very much enjoyed watching Karl, he is a great dog very happy and friendly! Location was very nice and close to the downtown area, had the opportunity to explore around. Austen was very communicative and very helpful!
I loved my stay with Charlie! Susan left detailed instructions so I didn’t have to worry. She was very kind and welcoming. Charlie is a sweet boy and a great companion. The home is in a great location, just a short drive from anywhere in Pittsburgh. The view is amazing. I recommend this stay to anyone!
Really great location, plenty of parking, easy on and off the highway, lots of good shops and restaurants close by, and a great dog park about 4 blocks away. I only had two issues: a last minute decrease in days by one; and the management kept ticketing my vehicle. The only consequences were minor inconveniences for me. I had to change plans and razor the tickets off my window 3 times. The dogs are really self reliant for the most part and very good. I had a great cuddle with them while watching a movies, but no huge demands for anything. They do pull a bit on their leash at the first, but calm down fast. They were really fun to be around. This is a busy area, yet it was pretty quiet and relaxing. All in all, a very a fun stay.
