Thomas was a wonderful pet sitter!n Both dogs were vey happy upon our return and we could tell that that they had been well cared for. Gracie, one of our 2 dogs is quite elderly and requires extra attention and Thomas was really great about that. The house was in tip top shape when we got home and I would highly recommend him!
Radha and Sunil were an absolute pleasure to meet and Simba was a delight to take care of! I'm so thrilled I could look after their baby (giant) bear so that they could go and enjoy a wedding. ;) Thank you for your generosity, kindness and consideration! I already miss Simba and would house-sit again in a heartbeat.
Staying at Kellie's house was an amazing experience, she was very special and made us feel at home, the dogs are adorable, and good boys. We would gladly come back
We almost shed the tear when we were leaving those 3. We loved their different personalities and loyalty they showed to us. Nellie is such a love bug, she needs and gives her love 24/7. Juniper is so independent, lazy and self-confident and regal. Cornelius is cautious but affectionate. We specifically enjoyed it when they were all three together with us. Each competed for affection. We miss Nellie in our bed.))) Alice’s and Geoff’s house is very old, has a lot of character and charm, very lovely and classic. Located in very quiet and traditional neighbourhood, close to all attractions of Portland. Safe, beautiful, green, lovely. Beautiful and sweet sit which we would like to do again. Thank you, everyone!
It was such a pleasure to take care of Poppi, just a lovely little dog. Margo is very organised making it so easy and the house is immaculate and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, it couldn’t have been better.
Denise and Paul are a lovely couple living in historic downtown Kingston in a well designed, spacious old coach house. Denise offered to pick me up at the train station, after which she orientated me with the house, her pets and attractions and coffee shops in walking distance. She left a handy tip sheet about the three pets which included info on their routines and personality. There are two lovely cats Ginger and Snap, Snap was more aloof, Ginger's more curious and friendly, who hung out with Charlie, an older Bichon dog, on the couch to sleep. Charlie has cataracts and is partially blind, but still roams are the house and likes short walks around the block. Ginger is very cute and affectionate likes to sneak out when you open the door, but does not go very far. She walks with a slight tilt in her head, mainly due to a couple seizures she had in the distant past. Charlie is friendly and affectionate and can follow you around for attention and treats and barks when he wants outside. Snap eventually warms up to you, and she will allow you to give her cuddles. Charlie does sleep with you but is such a sound sleeper, that you don't even notice him on the bed. When going out, Charlie is put in his kennel. This seemed to cause him stress when Denise and Paul had left. So I did turn on music as a distraction, but would recommend any sitter speak to Denise and Paul about tips to settle Charlie before leaving. Thanks so much for allowing me to spend time with Charlie, Ginger and Snap, it was a pleasure!
My stay at John and Kathy’s was great! They are beyond amazing hosts, and I was pleasantly surprised by the high level of support I had from them! They were very warm, welcoming, kind, hospitable, and gave me all the information I needed and more. I even gained some great connections through them when I had a bad Airbnb experience the week before arriving, as well as a fellow THS sitter! They were gracious enough to help me with that situation as well as questions I had during my stay, which weren’t many, since they were very thorough with providing me with everything I needed, including any phone numbers I might need. The ones I met were very kind and helpful people. Their home and the surrounding neighborhood is beautiful! I think Smokey had to warm up to me a bit, but spending time with her and showing her some love did the trick! I found, with John and Kathy’s help, that administering her shot while she was eating was the best way for her comfort, and she didn’t mind at all! When Kiwi was too anxious to walk around the neighborhood I enjoyed chilling with her in the backyard and enjoying the lake view, sometimes hanging out with Munchie while Kiwi was busy running around. They are all the cutest fur babies that I loved and miss already. I would love to come back again someday!
