Truly a nature lover's paradise! This is definitely a sit I will remember for a long time. Yourie and Medela are sweet and funny pups who LOVE to explore the acres of land on Mirjam's property for hours. If in need of a quieter afternoon, however, the dogs were equally happy romping around in the yard while I rested on the porch. Keekee is also one of the sweetest cats ever and found it very hard to leave her </3. Mirjam and her family are some of the nicest people I have ever met and even shared dinner with me before their departure the night that I arrived! They were very responsive to any questions I had and provided so many recommendations and books of things to do in the area as the woods were in peak foliage during my sit (pictures never do it justice). I left feeling rejuvenated and I would sit for Mirjam anytime!
Upon my arrival a day before the actual house sit I was welcomed with a gift and a dinner invitation. Such a warm reception! Communication on WhatsApp before and during the house sit was informative and entertaining. Marga and Hannes are truly wonderful hosts. The new home is comfortable, elegant and nicely furnished and decorated. The neighborhood is friendly and helpful. The location is quiet. The North Sea is close by and there are many coastal and other villages worth visiting. There is a very nice garden with a robot mower. Watering is easy. Rosa and Sina have distinct personalities - they are cats after all. They both like cuddling, Sina could not get enough! They each have an automated feeder with chip. Thank you Marga and Hannes for entrusting me with your house, garden and … wonderful cats.
We loved our sit at Jackie and Peter’s. Zeena and Zoya are the nicest dogs both with their own little personalities. Sunny is so funny and loved a sing. The instructions left for feeding and walking them was very clear so this made our house sit easy! The house is in a quiet area surrounded by lovely walks, you can even see kangaroos at the end of the street. Jackie and Peter are so friendly, they made us feel so comfortable to be in their home. They even said we could use anything in their fridge which was so handy, and they dropped us off at our new accommodation once they returned from their trip.
