This was the most exceptional sit. Gumbo and Dinah are total legends and have an amusing dynamic between young pup and senior dog. They're seriously well behaved and socialised dogs - easy to walk and look after (although poor old Dinah needs a bit more help sometimes). We loved looking after them! The boat is also a remarkable place to stay. The views are incredible and the experience of living on a boat is pretty amazing - the fluctuation between high and low tide (birds, waves, mud) diversifies the experience of being 'home' in the best way. There's always something interesting to look at - it was such fun to experience. David and Scott are also seriously accomodating and lovely people and were always reachable and helpful during our stay. Thank you for having us in your beautiful home - we hope we can look after Gumbo and hopefully Dinah again soon :)
Imagine this: waking up to panoramic views of Basel, a steaming cup of coffee on the terrace, and a happy Irish terrier wiggling his tail at your feet. That was our daily reality house-sitting for Josephine and her delightful dog, Ted. Josephine, from the get-go, was an amazing host. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly informative, she ensured we felt comfortable in their charming (and spacious!) house. Overall, our house-sitting experience with Josephine and Ted was simply unforgettable. It wasn't just about caring for a dog, it was about experiencing a new culture, basking in stunning scenery, and forging a bond with a truly special canine companion. We highly recommend this house-sitting opportunity to anyone looking for a unique and heartwarming adventure in Switzerland. Just be prepared to fall in love with a mischievous Irish terrier named Ted – we certainly did!
I had a nice time taking care of Polly at Nina’s place. Polly is super cuddly and playful, which was fun. Nina was very thorough with her notes, which I appreciated, and she was easy to reach when I needed to contact her. Her place is very cute and in a great location. I would be happy to sit for her again!
My husband and I really enjoyed this sit. First of all, Hank is the sweetest pup. He loves being nearby. Lindsay was a wonderful host and gave us great instructions. We had a meet up prior to the sit and she patiently showed us around and told us everything there was to know about the sit. The home was in a quiet neighborhood but close to lots of shopping and restaurants. The kitchen in the home is a chef’s dream! Everything was comfortable for us. But the star of the show was Mr. Hank! He was so sweet and affectionate. He has these big soulful eyes and he almost looks like he could have a conversation with you. He just likes to be close to you. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend sitting for Hank!
Olive has a lovely clean home with the most adorable cats and friendly hens. It was an absolute joy being able to stay in this little slice of farm so near town and all Rotorua has to offer.
We had a great stay w Gypsy! She is such a good girl! Brandon’s place was very comfortable!
