Nikki was great! Awesome to have a local who knew the area. Doggie was well cared for and happy. House was in great shape. Loved having her!
Kathy and Carl were just the best hosts we could have hoped for. We met them on a zoom call the month before. That call included meeting their daughter Maddie, and her amazing dog Archie, who would be joining us for the sit. We were then invited up to their home in Conifer, which sits at about 9,000' to get all the details on how to care for their home, the pups, Quinny, Archie, their kitty Sid, and their four amazing horses. Kathy and Carl warmly welcomed us into their home, where we had coffee and talked for some time. It worked out great that it became time to do evening chores, where Kathy could give me hands on instructions for the horses, the ins and out of the barn and other out buildings, codes, and the like. Kathy and Carl stayed in daily contact with us, inquiring as to how everyone was doing, and did we need anything? They also let us know in real time when packages had been delivered, so we could promptly retrieve them. They were on top of everything, in addition to enjoying their trip out of town. Their home is very comfortable, warm and inviting. There are too many little creature comforts to list. But if you were to plan your dream Colorado Mountain Vacation, this would be it. The home has many windows that let in the natural light. One of the most spectacular views is of Pikes Peak. Simply breathtaking. Birds of all sorts feed right outside their dining room windows. Another little perk was a soak in the big tub. Their living room is very cozy. Soft furry blankets and pillows adorn leather couches. You can sit anywhere in the room with your coffee, and watch the weather roll across the mountain ranges, or enjoy the morning sunrise. All the while, the wood stove burns....it didn't get any better in our book. We enjoy the simple things in life, and this sit fit the bill. Quinny was a wee bit slow to warm up, but when she did, she was such a sweetheart. Archie, well Archie is the sweetest, most obedient puppy. Both of them enjoyed accompanying me to the barn, and had a blast playing in the snow. Archie seems to have great affection for Rio, the silver buckskin, and he for Archie. It was very endearing to see them interacting. Both dogs listened very well when called, and were both very easy keepers. Sid kitty was a riot. A gorgeous Maine Coon mix...he entertained us nonstop. Such a good kitty. You can tell Kathy and Carl love their home and animals. We were very impressed with how dedicated they are to caring for them. They spare no expense, time or love. Their horses have got to be the most unique little herd. More like big dogs, than horses really. We truly enjoyed every day, and every aspect of this sit, and would come back anytime. Hands down, our most fulfilling and enjoyable sit to date! We give Kathy and Carl 5 stars, and would also double it if we could. They are genuine, caring, down to earth, honest people. We feel very blessed to have met them, and to have had the privilege to have cared for all of their animals, and home.
A home away from home. What a beautiful house with equally beautiful dogs. A real treat and Francesca was a delight to communicate with. 10/10 !!!
