We house-sat for Jane and Marty in Martinborough for five weeks while they were travelling, taking care of their gorgeous dogs Radar and Jake. It was such a lovely time! The dogs were a pleasure to look after and are really well-behaved and responsive. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed very much being in the heart of the beautiful wine region of Martinborough. Everything we needed was provided for, great cafes and restaurants close by as well as beaches and shopping and Jane and Marty were always contactable if we needed them. Their home is just lovely and we are very grateful to have had such a peaceful, uncomplicated getaway. Thanks so much Jane and Marty!
We had a fabulous sit in Selkirk for Amanda and Andrew - who were such welcoming and accommodating hosts. They left us set up so well to really enjoy our sit - clear instructions, suggestions for day trips, some lovely local treats (!), a very clean and tidy home, and two beautiful little cats. Nala and Maya are just beautiful - real little characters, affectionate, and so easy to look after. We miss them already. Selkirk is in the heart of the Scottish Borders, and we spent a perfect week exploring neighbouring towns and delighting in the countryside, coming home to our beautiful cats each afternoon. Communication throughout the stay was terrific and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would be back in a flash :) Thank you so much for letting us sit for you Amanda and Andrew, Maya and Nala xx
Sadly this House Sit had to be cancelled due to Covid issues. A sign of the times at the moment, and couldn't be helped at all. However, Tory made communication very easy, was extremely kind and generous hearted and if another opportunity to look after Honey and Toast arises, we shall certainly reapply. Best wishes to all.
I really loved my stay with Popple and Hamish they were both superstars. Hamish has eyes you can get lost in and Popple is full of charm and tricks. Lana is super friendly with great communication skills and lives in a plant filled pretty and bright home located very close to the train station about 20mins from the CBD. This is a very intelligent household full of beautiful beings and I highly recommend. Thank you Lana for inviting me into your home 😻 😻
There is nothing really to add to the previous reviews. Yasmin and Colin are extremely sympathetic and very pleasant in communication. We didn't meet them in person but the exchange beforehand and during the sit was so easy and friendly. Humphrey is an easy going, kind and cute cat. He is fun to take care of, play with and cuddle. It was our first sit and we were very happy that Yasmin and Colin trusted us with Humphrey. It was a very positive experience and motivated us to sit more.... The apartment is beautiful and very bright and cozy. They left clear instructions and good tips for our stay. The apartment is located in a quiet area with nice cafes and restaurants around. It is not far to the park and public transport stops. We highly recommend this sit and would love to come back ourselves.
A 'sublime' house/pet sit! Sublimity is a small farm burg that has grown a tiny bit with its larger next door neighbor Stayton which will have pretty much anything you need to support your quiet retreat with Bridger and Josie; but you will want a bike, car or good walking shoes. The 'kid' Bridger and the Queen of the palace Josie are good company, easy care, and mostly well behaved! Their servants and your hosts Fred and Ruth are delightful and thoughtful with the little touches from being accomplished pet-sitters themselves; and they kept in touch routinely. The home has a separate wing with the guest bedroom and bath for your use with everything else you will need on one level including spacious kitchen, and large great room leading to well-tended grounds that provide plenty of places to kick-back and maybe chat with neighbors some of whom still walk about in their community. It is an easy walk into Sublimity 'proper' to meet a few more folk. A few miles along you will find Silver Falls and other regional attractions. Back home -- plenty of good books, a large TV, BBQ and Hot-tub to meet all of your pampering needs and, not one, but two kitties for all the lap sitting and stroking you may wish.
