Ann Marie was fantastic. So lovely to deal with and seemed to really enjoy spending time with our kittens. Our place was just as we left it when we came back which we were very grateful for. She sent us some nice photos of the kittens during her stay which we also appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble and we’d very much have her back to stay anytime!
Victor and Rose were a wonderful house sitters. They were easy to communicate with, reliable, and took great care of our home and pet. They were patient and understanding with our anxious dog who can take a few days to warm up to new people. They left the house sparkling clean. We would recommend them to anybody!
I had a fantastic time with Maggie and Jack in Bourn. Right from the very first message and throughout the sit, communication with Jen was super easy and relaxed, she made me feel really welcomed when I arrived and explained things really clearly and concisely. The house is absolutely stunning, it’s so well organised and is a perfect mix of old and modern that has been lovingly curated with art, books and furnishings, whatever expectations any future house sitters have of the house they will be exceeded. It’s set in the quiet village of Bourn which has a post office/shop 5 mins walk away and is a short drive into Cambridge. The stars of the show were of course Maggie and Jack, they are such happy dogs and are both clearly well loved. Jack is younger and has a more boisterous energy, which is completely harmless as he just gets so excited to see you or to be doing whatever you are doing, he copy’s Maggie a lot and follows her lead, especially on walks. Maggie is an absolute sweetheart, she’s as sharp as a tack and loves getting some one on one attention when Jacks asleep so she can get some chest scratches and ear rubs. They both entertained me lots during the sit and I shall miss them lots. Ines was back in Uruguay for this sit but I know she would have loved them too. I would highly recommend this sit to any future housesitters. Thanks again Jen, Maggie and Jack 🙂🙏
Gillian was a wonderful host and is now, hopefully, a friend for life. She was so kind, welcoming and accommodating, provided lots of good food and her house was very clean and comfortable. The pets were a delight, Copper the dog was adorable and Tizzy the cat was a real character. I really enjoyed my time here and I would highly recommend being a sitter at Gillian’s.
Megan-Rose and Matt are great hosts, communication is great and they made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Their cat, Luna, is a sweetheart --- she was shy to me at first (she even hid on the fridge! haha), but shortly after she warmed up to me and requested cuddles and play time with her toys. Thanks both for trusting me look after Luna whilst you were away! I've had a nice time in Buntingford, there are many things to explore around (the Henry Moore foundation was the highlight) but probably having a car makes things easier to move around --- I have used the HertsLynx app for pre booked busses which I suggest should you need to rely on public transport.
We had an amazing experience! Phil and Nicky are lovely people! We came one day earlier, had dinner together and everything was explaining thoroughly before the sit. What about Bobbie? The most affectionate cat we have met! Very kind and warm, a special cat. We fall in love with him <3 The flat is well located, very comfortable and have everything you must need. My experience and my wife's experience looking after the adorable Lola and Poppie was absolutely wonderful. These two canines are truly exemplary: judicious, energetic and always ready to play. Their enthusiasm for going out in the park and chasing balls is infectious, and enjoying those moments with them was a delight. What impressed me most was their obedience; no matter what the activity, Lola and Poppie were always attentive and ready to follow directions. In addition, I must highlight the incredible hospitality of Nico and Dean, who were more than hosts; they were thoughtful and considerate friends. They were always available for any needs that arose during my stay, and their kindness made me feel truly welcome. The location of the house is simply perfect, being right in the heart of the city, making it easy to get to all the tourist sites. The flat itself is cosy and comfortable, equipped with all the necessary utensils and items for a comfortable stay. You will definitely feel at home from the moment you set foot in the place. All in all, my time looking after Lola and Poppie, under the hospitality of Nico and Dean, was an experience I will remember fondly. I highly recommend staying and spending time with the pets.
Ellai is an absolutely gorgeous cat with a lot of personality. He is definitely the boss around the home but once he gets to know you, he is an absolute sweetheart. We loved taking care of him and miss him so much. Rosa was very clear on the instructions and gave us all the information we needed. She also kept in touch and was always there if we needed something. We loved our time there and than you so much for having us. xx
