Trish
Shari and her daughter Nadia were the perfect pet sitters. They arrived a day early to get acquainted and were very accommodating with our schedule. They prioritized caring for my pups and I was very comfortable leaving them in their care. Good communication, responsive and highly independent. Returned home to an immaculate place and two happy little doggies.

Mary
Mary’s home in Sea Ranch was my first THS sit. From the application process on, Mary was very thorough. After speaking with me for about an hour, she called two of my references asking many questions about my character and experience. She kept in contact through emails regularly and needed me to be flexible with my start date due family matters. Her email replies came quickly before and throughout my two month long sit. She is very organized and precise in answers and problem solving as well as via text. Her instructions are emailed prior versus being in welcome guide form. They are very clear and easy to read and follow.

Lucy is a very loving, sweet soul and I will remember her forever. She loves to cuddle once she warms up to you. Her favorite is getting you to lay on the sofa so she can lay on your chest with her arm draped around you purring. She loves to sleep in the sun shining in the glass door into Mary’s bedroom during the day or on your bed when she isn’t following you around or on top of you during couch time. She also loves having a towel made into a bed on the sofa next to you if you are typing on your computer and don’t have a free hand to scratch under her chin. Lucy is very good at letting you know when she wants to go into the mini yard and when she is ready to come in. Bindi was with Mary during my sit, so I only got to meet her briefly before they drove away.

Mary’s home is organized and uncluttered. It is easy to keep clean. The large windows open to all the nature surroundings and wildlife viewing daily. Depending on what season you are lucky enough to sit for Mary, you will see deer, hawks, turkey vultures, cormorant, quail, blue jays, all types of song birds, giant hare, fox, skunks, raccoons, and in summer, so many spiders. It is full nature immersion and the ocean and cliffs are unbelievably gorgeous, the forest just across the main road, two local markets, a lodge with activities and a coffee shop, and miles and miles of trails. It is peaceful and very remote. The nearest hospital and regular grocery is an hour and a half each way to the 101 cities. (There is a local medical clinic). Mary has a close knit community of good friends to reach out to for any emergencies. If you want almost off grid in a slice of heaven, this is the perfect place. I miss it already. Especially Miss Lucy. I'd return today if I could!
