We had a great sit and would love to sit there again. Great animals, great exploring on-foot, great adventures nearby. --Persons-- Susie and Nick were great to work with. Good communication before, during, and after the sit. Expectations were clearly conveyed and were all practical. We met by video, emailed, and texted. It was all smooth. --Place-- This is a great spot. Their cozy home backs up to Forest Service land with trails. It is just outside Sunriver so any service, store, or restaurant is within 3 miles. It's only 20 minutes to Mt. Bachelor which is 10 minutes faster than coming from Bend and less traffic. The Newberry Crater National Monument locations are nearby and very accessible. --Pets-- Naiya (dog) is sweet. She's a snuggler and even when excited is polite and thoughtful. Kiki (cat) is a classic, cool cat. No issues or challenges from either of them.
Great sit!! The house is clean and organized, the 2 cats Bubba and Kiki are fantastic and super friendly. Communication with Shana is easy quick with detailed instructions. I hope my future house sits are as easy and successful as this one.
Pet/house sitting for Jo & Jack was an absolute pleasure beginning to end. Callie is a gorgeous little dog with so much love to give. The communication was excellent, Jo went out of her way to give recommendations in the local area and make us feel at home. Whaley Bridge is a beautiful location with so many great walks close by! The house is situated right next to the canal so we went paddle boarding one morning thanks to Jo and Jack lending their boards. No need for a car if you’re staying for a long weekend like us! Theres a giant Tesco just round the corner and Whaley bridge is only a 15minute walk from the house. Couldn’t recommend pet/house sitting for Jo & Jack more - the perfect weekend with the most gorgeous little doggo 😍🤗✨
Before our sit we were able to visit Kathleen and meet Lucy and Rufus which was informative and made us feel welcome. Kathleen's home is old and charming and we were very comfortable there. Having a large garden for the dogs is a big plus and Rufus really enjoyed chasing balls. Lucy and Rufus were delightful and we enjoyed looking after them.
Gus and Rusby are playful, independent cats who like company and to know where you are and are adept at pushing open doors and visiting to see what you are doing. Also they’re very good at telling you when it’s half an hour to mealtimes. Lovely cats who play with their toys. They liked being stroked but were not ‘needy’, they’re also quiet and not very vocal. Emma and Sarah couldn’t have been friendlier or more welcoming. They left the house warm and lit, ready for us with a lovely welcome gift waiting for us. Their house is a real home. It is very stylish, lovely and warm and absolutely spotless, and everything works, it also smells divine. The communication throughout was great and not invasive. We would housesit there again at the drop of a hat and would highly recommend this sit.
