Sue and John were fabulous hosts. We had a lovely meal with them, and enjoyable conversation. Sue was very thoughtful, made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and was great at being in touch before and during the sit. Their home is well-equipped, spacious and comfortable. The south wind sneaks in, but the Aga, and a lovely fire in the sitting room, kept us warm through the coldest days. Whiskey is very cute, characterful and loveable. She was defensive/barky at first about us being on her territory, but after a couple of days grew much calmer and quieter. She loved sniffing her way along the river path every morning, and was friendly with everyone we met. She’s more sensitive and easily spooked than she lets on, but in terrier fashion, faces the world bravely. She had a go at bossing us around! She adores lap cuddles, and absolutely loves to play with her squeaky ball. We really enjoyed rural Herefordshire. Bromyard is a very friendly town, with lots of great independent shops. We visited three National Trust properties – twice each! Whiskey enjoyed walking round the woods on top of Bromyard Downs, from where you can see amazing sunsets. We also really enjoyed meeting the neighbours. Recommended sit! Thank you Sue and John x
It was enjoyable and relaxing sit with Teddie. He took his medicine easily and was cuddly. The location is super lots of great shops nearby and the pool was a nice treat. 15 min walk to train station.
Sitting for Kerry was an absolute delight. Her house is clean and comfortable and has everything you could need. Kerry also has bird feeders in the yard which makes it easy to stay in and just watch the various types of birds, and squirrels visit her yard. If you are lucky at night you can also see the foxes that visit her yard. Shops are in easy walking distance as well as cafes and restaurants so the suburb has everything you could need. Kerry was easy to contact and gave us plenty of suggestions for things to see and do and also checks in regularly to ensure we are OK and to see if we needed any other suggestions of things to do. The cats all have quite different personalities and can make you laugh in an instant. We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Rita, Freddie and Robbie and would recommend to anyone.
Holi is a wonderful cat who is easy to take care of. The neighborhood was great too, everything I needed was within walking distance. Kiran and Srishty were friendly and good communicators. I really enjoyed this sit.
It was a real privilege to sit these lovely pets in such an historic location! The apartment was beautiful and I felt very much at home here with Badger at my side, he really is a character! Merryn and family were super hosts and gave me a good handover before they left and printed out instructions for guidance. A wonderful week indeed!
Valerie’s home is amazing. It’s spacious, clean and tastefully renovated. Her home is within walking distance to a great Thai restaurant, along with many other places to eat, a huge grocery store and shopping complex, and the main Hyde Park strip. And it’s relatively cheap (~$12 USD) to get a Lyft or Uber to downtown. The neighbourhood is beautiful and it seems very, very safe and neighbourly. She also has two adorable Siamese kittens that kept me company during my recent stay. Cutest. Kittens. Ever. Valerie was a great and prompt communicator, and was just as lovely in person. If Cincinnati wasn’t so far away from Australia, I’d happily house sit for her all the time!
