My recent housesit caring for Tinka and Jet in Calne was wonderful in so many ways. Tinka is a very sweet young lab who is filled with delight and joy every day! She runs like the wind off the lead but always came back to me with a good whistle and after a few days she always had one eye on where I was in the fields. She has a lot of energy but is very calm and relaxed at home. I saw Jet in the evenings and mornings and he very much enjoyed a good scratch on the back and would rub up against my legs asking for more. Camilla's home is a wonderfully comfortable farmhouse with lots of room to spread out and a very relaxed vibe. The views from the back are jaw dropping and we enjoyed sitting out at the table and various sitting areas and the hammock! All in all, I would highly recommend this sit! And if you are lucky enough to get chosen, give Tinka a hug for me!
Lovely home and family with two little, cuddly dogs who just love to have you around and require otherwise little care other than demands for extra treats! Good contact and a wonderful experience.
I absolutely loved looking after King and Frank! They have very different personalities but get along so well together and adored being by my side as soon as I arrived. Little Frank also slept on my bed each night, which was very cute. They were also both so good on the lead while walking around. Such happy dogs, I will miss them a lot! Hannah was great with her communications and explaining everything about the dogs and house. I didn't meet Hannah but she kindly organised her friend to meet me at the house which was great.
I would give 10 stars if I could! We had the BEST sit in Nelson. Rosie and Hugh are lovely, warm and very welcoming. We had all the info about their home and Maverick beforehand, plus many suggestions of hikes and activities we could do in the area. Maverick was such a fun and easy-going dog to spend time with! We would come back any time.
I would recommend pet sitting Leo! He is so sweet and LOVES to play and cuddle. It was a pleasure caring for him 💕During my 3 weeks with him he was my best friend, he loved to keep me company in the kitchen while I was cooking. Charlotte has a lovely studio apartment near the Dubai Miracle and Butterfly Garden which is perfect for nature lovers. She was helpful when I needed anything for Leo or something that was missing in the apartment. Thanks for everything everything Charlotte, I hope to see Leo again soon💗!
It was fun sitting these crazy cats. Maisie so quiet and shy and Jack was gradually came out of his shell to come up to me and give me a bit of love. And then ther's Hamish... what can I say about Hamish? If you have ever wondered what it would be like to have a cat that was half dog then look no further than Hamish. He is very beautiful (and knows it) and it's hard not to love him but he's a terrible thief - he will even try to steal food when you are getting it out of the cupboard. You turn your back and he's there eating anything that's left out on the counter tops. Anything that drops on the floor while you're cooking is his too. He's obsessed with food but is a really lovely cat and made me laugh when he was being naughty. I had words with him about his behaviour but it didn't seem to make any difference. The house is very comfortable and clean and it's not far to Farnham or Guildford which are both really lovely (so you don't need to visit Aldershot town centre!). Thanks Lucy for a happy time with your funny cats and lovely house.
