I had a great stay with Cassi. Kerry is a wonderful host- making sure I had all the information I needed before and during the stay. Cassi is an easy going and loving dog. We had fun on our high energy walks and playtime plus cuddles at night. I highly recommend sitting with them if you're in the DC area.
Oreo was pretty easy to care for. One challenge was a strange change in his walking behavior after several days. He started sitting back refusing to continue! I couldn't figure out why, because the timing wasn't consistent enough to confirm any theories we could think of! But even when I had to pick him up it was no problem, because he is so small. Oreo and I spent time at my sister's house over the holidays, and everyone fell in love with him! Even though Cliona was 5 time zones away she got back to me when I had questions within a day. Their home is in a nice neighborhood. Walking along the Charles River was pleasant and close by. Their landlord was swapping in a better washer and was really friendly and helpful, especially when we had a snowstorm. All in all a very pleasant stay and I'd be happy to help them again!
We had a great time with Toffee, he's a total sweetheart and giant love bug. You only have to be careful that he doesn't suffocate you with his giant full body hugs! He is a very well behaved boy, super chill in the house and silly and playful outside, I was also able to take him to cafes and so on without any problems. He is a strong dog though, so be sure you can handle that, for us it was no problem and Celestyna was very clear about this from the getgo. He's good off the lead, but if he smells another dog on heat, he will be off after her, as is natural. For the reason we kept him on the lead for the morning walk so we could start work on time, but the rest of the time he's really great off the lead and was always nice with other dogs (especially if he wanted to steal their ball). You get a good, comprehensive welcome guide which we always appreciate! The house is fun and neat and right next to the park for easy dog walking. Lovely!
OMG, best sit ever! We applied to take care of Stanley, but got so much more! The house was amazing, in one of the most beautiful places we could imagine! The area is magical with so much to see! We arrived a day early to spend some time with the lovely Leigh and Nigel, with whom we connected instantly. The real attraction, however, would have to be Stanley, and it's worth noting that the worst part of the trip was to say goodbye to him. This is the downside of pet-sitting I guess, but we did get seriously attached. Stanley is an exceptional dog, friendly but not needy, quiet and curious but also likes the occasional play, and always well behaved. We took him with us almost everywhere we went, while also trying to respecting his needs. He was a joy to be with! We miss him already!
We had a wonderful stay with Reba, in Andy and Grahams beautiful home. The information regarding Reba was very thorough and helpful. Andy was great at explaining Reba’s behaviour and how to mitigate potential risks. Easy communication prior and throughout, would recommend this sit.
Grace and Molly are wonderful dogs to look after. They're both friendly and like receiving affection without any jealousy from the other. I especially enjoyed Molly keeping my toes warm when she wanted a cuddle. Lisa and Derek are beyond excellent as hosts and made me feel welcome the moment I met them. Even though it was a short petsit, I feel like an enduring friendship was made. Lisa is very organized and explained everything I needed to know about caring for Grace and Molly, information was written down and if I had any questions, they were available. The house is in a beautiful rural setting and is very comfortable. I highly recommend this petsit and would do it again if the timing works out.
