This crew is awesome. Nona was such a small, playful, personable ball of joy to care for. We felt very well set up and ready to sit for four weeks. And very much enjoyed staying in touch and updating Karine and Joe on their vacation. Jean is such an amazing host, communication was really easy with her and she was really helpful too. Her cat Jack is such an adorable furry friend, he is a big cuddler and i was really happy to petsit him. Have to add that the neighborhood is pretty nice too :)

Rachel and her family welcomed us in their home with everything set up and well organised to look after the house and pets. They made us feel completely at ease and were just really lovely and friendly people. My sons keep asking when we can see them again 🙂 Boadie is an affectionate and sweet dog and was an absolute pleasure to look after. The house is great with the right combination of being close to the city but also nice and quiet with good walks for the dog. I thoroughly recommend pet sitting at Rachel's house!
My wife and I had a really wonderful time housesitting Maisie. She is absolutely adorable and so much fun to be with. We fell in love with her the moment we met her. She loves playing fetch with her toys, going for walks in the neighborhood, and running wild in her fenced in backyard (so fun watching her do that). She is very well trained and so easy to care for. After a couple of days and overnight trials it was pretty clear that Benson was going to be in very safe hands during his 10 day stay with Kim and the team. We got daily photo's/videos and it was great to see that he was having a fantastic time and made lots of doggy friends. This made us very relaxed knowing and seeing Benson having so much fun and how happy and safe he was with Kim & the team. Thank you Kim/team for making Benson feel so safe..we will be back!!!!
When I went to collect Holly after our 2 week holiday, she didn’t want to come home. She had such a fantastic time staying at the Joy Paws Hotel. Kim sent me pictures and videos every day. I was lucky to find Joy Paws recommended on Facebook when we needed last minute dog care for a family holiday. Spencer is not the easiest dog, as he was a rescue originally and takes time to settle. Kim instantly put us at ease with her warm welcome and utmost care & attention for Spencer’s needs. After his trial he settled well with his new buddies, Kim & team. They took him on daily adventures to the beach, woods and park nearby & gave him lots of fuss and attention. He’s from a family of 5 children who were thrilled to get the daily updates of his doggy holiday whilst they were in the USA. Spencer spent over 2 weeks at Joy Paws, came home contented, relaxed and smelling great! We will always leave him with Kim and her amazing team in future. Thanks so much Joy Paws! You are simply the best.
Kim and the team are absolutely fantastic and I wouldn’t want my pup to go anywhere else! He has thrived since spending a few days a week at Joy Paws Hotel and loves his days there! Always comes home happy and very tired from his busy day. We were really struggling to find somewhere for our two Cocker Spaniels to stay whilst we went on holiday and, after failed trials with other boarders, we had almost lost hope until we found Joy Paws. Other boarders we found just expected our boys to settle after only meeting them a few hours earlier which never worked, but Kim completely understood that they needed time to build a rapport. Kim was willing to take the time to get to know Victor and Jack and, after a few sleepovers and trips to the daycare, we have just collected them from their week stay at the hotel. They had such an amazing time we were a bit concerned that they wouldn’t want to come home! Kim and all the team at Joy Paws went over and above in ensuring that the boys had a great stay and that we felt reassured whilst we were away. The regular flow of photos and videos meant we could have a great holiday knowing that our boys were being well looked after. I cannot thank Joy Paws enough for welcoming our boys into their family for the week as well as all the little day trips in between. Everytime they go over they return absolutely knackered from all of the great walks and socialisation they receive. Victor and Jack always rush straight in when they are dropped off and are already booked in for their next holiday in May 2025!
Joy Paws came highly recommended to us. We did a couple of trial days and an over night stay initially and our Lhasa Apso Coco has just spent 12 days with Kim whilst we went on holiday. We had total peace of mind that Coco was in excellent hands and he was. We were sent daily videos and updates which was amazing. The service from Kim and her team is second to none, it has been so amazing to find someone who cares so deeply for all the dogs they look after. My puppy is always so excited for day care, is happy (if not a little reluctant to leave) when we pick him up and throughly tired out. We are always so happy to see the updates through the day and we know that Kim has an excellent set up that has been well thought out. The communication has been brilliant with Kim providing us some useful guidance and advice on training and nutrition and her experience and knowledge of dogs has been invaluable. She always takes the time to talk to us about Finley has been through the day. Cannot recommend enough.
Joy paws is our Finley’s favourite weekly trip. Kim has an amazing setup with dogs of different ages and sizes, plenty of space to run and play and long walks on the beach and in the park. Finley integrated into the pack within a week and was walking off lead within 3. This is a wonderful family run business, Kim is very knowledgable and sends photo and video updates throughout the day. We can’t recommend them enough, and I bet Finley can’t wait to board for the first time next year.
I was recommended joy paws hotel through a friend that takes her dog weekly. George being my ever first dog I was a little nervous. However, everything was soon put to ease as soon I met Kim I knew the love she had for the dogs in her care, treating every single one of them as her own. Everything was professionally covered, ensuring all dogs in her care are healthy and up to date with vaccinations. You get videos and photos throughout the day. Which certainly puts you at ease and a lovely touch. George always returns home happy and content. Overall, I highly recommend joy paws hotel. The service is exceptional, and I felt so comfortable leaving my george in their care. Will not go anywhere else.

My 60th birthday celebrations were made possible by Zanetta looking after our much loved pug, Bertie. The daily updates, amount of attention to detail was amazing. I would recommend any small fur baby parents. Truly wonderful in every way. Our boy is everything to us and it was lush I knew he was receiving great care. .

I’m so glad that I found The Good Dogs Life! We have 2 chihuahuas ( one of whom is very anxious) and have really struggled to find suitable accommodation for them for when we go on holiday. Zanetta & Debbie have now provided a caring and safe home environment for them. They have provided a service whereby a relationship is established through play dates so that when it comes to an overnight stay the dogs were used to their surroundings. I get regular updates and videos which gives me peace of mind. I can’t recommend them enough and can now go on holiday knowing that my dogs are also having fun and being looked after. Thank you 🐶🐶
We were a bit sceptical about leaving our dog with someone and were super picky as to who we chose. We are SO glad we decided to go with Zanetta at The Good Dogs Life. She cares so much about each and every dog that she looks after. Whilst we were away our dog had a slight upset tummy, (this is normal as she has a very sensitive tummy) Zanetta looked after her really well and gave her medication and gave some advice to us that was really useful! I love that she updated me with pictures and videos of Pepper just having the best time ever, meant I could really relax on holiday knowing she was having such a good time! We have booked many more stays for Pepper for 2022 and will beyond. If you're looking for someone friendly, reliable and who will love your dog as much as you do, look no further! Our little rescue dog has been to Zanetta's regularly for day care over the past year and has an absolute blast. She plays all day and can't wait to get in the house when we arrive. I would highly recommend Zanetta - 5 stars!
I have been using the Good Dogs Life to board my dog for almost 2 years. My dog loves going to Zanettas and it's a home away from home for him. He only weighs 6 kilos so it's good to know he's with dogs of a similar size to him so I dont need to worry about him getting hurt. Zanetta is always really accommodating and I would recommend!
A fantastic dog boarder for small breeds which is exactly what we were looking for. We have a teacup Yorkshire Terrier who is getting old and can be quite nervous. However, he settled straight away. Zanetta is so friendly and loves the dogs so much she cares for.
We used The Good dogs Life for the first time in August 2021 and were very impressed with the level of care and the professional set up. I specifically wanted Lottie to be around dogs her own size and in a home atmosphere. Zanetta instantly put me at ease and it was evident from the first trial day that she loves dogs and her job. Our little dachshund had a wonderful time and we appreciated all the updates and photos she sent while we were on holiday.
We have used The Good Dogs Life for our little boy (miniature daschund) for a little while now. He is always happy to go for play days and holidays. We are so relieved to have found Zanetta, she sends us videos of the dogs playing in the garden, they always look like they are having a good time! We know we can go on our holidays without worrying about him.
Gryffin absolutely loves his time with Parkers and tries to get to their front door everytime we're near. Kelsey & her husband are so accommodating with his quirky personality and genuinely enjoy that he believes he's a lap dog, he always comes home happy and tired. We love all the pictures of his walks and stays, he always looks so at home with them and we couldn't ask for better care for our fur baby. Everything we wanted and more! The forms and T&C are very detailed, which was great, it reassured me that they make sure the dogs they take are suitable, instead of just taking on anyone's dog. The house and garden are a perfect size for the amount of dogs they take. They have a cat which I had the pleasure of meeting, their cat is lovely and is great with the dogs. A few times I have turned up at the house the cat will greet us at the car or front door. It is also great to see that Kelsey looks after dogs that are well-behaved/trained, and explains that she doesn't take reactive, nervous dogs etc.. so I don’t have to worry about my dog being around unpredictable dogs while he is in her care. Her loyalty scheme is a great idea, allowing her to stay up to date with any new quirks or behavioral changes my dog might have. As an owner sometimes it can be tricky to remember to update Kelsey on these things, but seeing Kelsey on a regular basis allows me to tell her things as they come up instead of trying to remember months later. We came to Kelsey as she was recommended by our dog trainer who sang praise about her as I believe she had worked for them in the past. I can see why they sang praise about her, Kelsey’s knowledge of dogs behaviour is amazing. What is icing on the cake for us is when we are packing up the car to leave for Kelsey’s, my dog gets excited and runs to the front door when we get there. We also used Kelsey for adhoc walks and when she pulls up my dog gets so excited and starts doing zoomies around the front room. 100% recommend! She is very experienced!
My two anxious rescues have been going for walks with Kelsey for a few weeks now and they are getting more confident with her and their new friends each week plus they always come back exhausted! Kelsey really looks after them well and they always look like they're having the best time in her pictures so I plan to use her dog boarding services in the future and maybe up their walks when I return to work from mat leave.
Kelsey is absolutely amazing! She puts up with my utterly useless communication and goes above and beyond! Mabel always comes back knackered. We love all the picture updates on her page and Mabel always looks really happy! When we first looking for a dog walker we wanted someone who we can trust not just with our dog but our home, Kelsey ticks both them boxes, and we’re forever grateful for the towel dry when she gets back 😂
Billy has a mix of group walks and long weekend stays. He loves going to Kelsey and gets excited when we arrive. Billy is only 2 and is a bit lively at times but I have confidence in Kelsey to look after him as I do. Definitely recommend.
Kelsey looked after my 7 month old lab retriever (Bailey) for just over a week when I travelled abroad. Kelsey was kind enough to send regular photos of Bailey having a wonderful time. Kelsey also took Bailey to a secure field everyday (small charge for the field) which loved. When I returned to collect him, he was a very happy and satisfied puppy. I have already made two further bookings and would definitely recommend Parker's K9 Vacation to anyone wanting a friendly and quality service.
Mine and my partners dog has just finished his 3 night stay with Kelsey. I will review the whole experience from booking to him staying as I think it may be useful to others to understand the process. Firstly we contacted Kelsey and arranged an appropriate time for a trial run of our dog staying with Kelsey. We got forms sent over by email to fill in any details about our dog. We also discussed over message any extra bits she should know about him. Once this was complete we filled in the terms and conditions, these are quite long but have all the details you need to know in case of emergencies or changes in your dogs stay. They are quite in depth but are nothing out of the ordinary. The trial went very well and we got a happy tired dog back. He had been on a walk with Kelsey and played with numerous dogs she had in her care. Kelsey does have a cat in the home which we were made aware of but I believe was managed well by Kelsey during our dogs stay. We then booked in the dates and times we would like her to look after our dog and also booked him in on a walk with her before his stay. He came back from the walk very tired and had been having a great doggy day out in the secure field with her and other dogs. We got lots of pictures on her Facebook of his walk which was lovely to see. Everything Kelsey does is with the dogs in mind and our dog always seems to have a great time when in her care. During our dogs stay with her (3 nights) we dropped him off in the morning and Kelsey was accommodating with the timings. We dropped off everything he would need (Kelsey provided an itenary of items to bring) then off we went with the peace of mind that he was with someone in their home getting attention, walks, cuddles and social time with humans and dogs. Kelsey has a garden and toys for the dogs to play with she also has a nice kitchen and lounge where the dogs can be in with her and her partner. We got regular updates from Kelsey via text or on her Facebook page. She also let us know of any issues that cropped up which unfortunately did with another dog not being appropriate for the setting. I am very glad of her openness about this as she could have left us in the dark. The situation was with another dog not being appropriate in the environment any longer and she explained how she was handling it. This put our minds at ease and again I am thankful for her honesty in this respect. Things do happen that are out of our control and it is better to know that someone won't just cover it up. We picked up our dog at an earlier time than expected due to getting an earlier train which Kelsey again accommodated for us, which was very appreciated after a lot of travelling back. TLDR: Overall Kelsey is a great dog walker with a brilliant home boarding service. This service is not for everyone's dog but that is why the trial is in place. It is lovely that she offers such a personable service for a handful of dogs to have a home away from home. It truly shows she cares about the animals wellbeing and she understands how it feels as an owner to be away from your dog. I would highly recommend the service! Thank you for looking after him, I am sure he will be back! 🐾

If you have a nervous dog that needs time and space, Kelsey's service is not for you. My boy is very nervous so he was booked in for a trial night, unfortunately there was a lot of backwards and forwards with what times she could have my dog from. Kelsey initially agreed with the times I requested (I had a wedding) then changed it to say said she could have him 30 minutes before the wedding starts because her husband wasn't available to help. I went along with that as it was too late to book an alternative and I had already paid the trial night. I queried if there was any wriggle room with prices or times and unfortunately there wasn't (but there was a lot of backwards and forwards with availability which was quite confusing! Even talk of charging me extra at one point.....messages have been stored as proof!) On arrival, myself and my dog were met at the front of the house and walked straight to the back garden (which was quite small). She introduced her dog to my dog, then let out 2 other dogs into the garden she was sitting for. I had no idea others would be there, I should've asked before I booked my dog in so lesson learnt by me, but nor was I informed. They were excitable but it scared my dog and I was very surprised that Kelsey didn't pick up on his body language (backing away, tail between his legs). I gave my dog his antler to chew but she said no chew toys were allowed?!! I asked if I should take it home and was advised to. 45 mins after I left my dog, Kelsey text me to say my dog had "destroyed" her gate. We picked him up straight away and I asked her to show us the damage but she didn't. She didn't offer too despite her claiming she did.She later offered to show me a WhatsApp image of the gate after a few hours (21.48 to he precise). Maybe we just didn't gel with her as a sitter, but I left feeling nervous and worried and he came home so distressed. I found alternative care for the wedding and my dog had a great time with experienced boarders who knew how to work with nervous animals. I wouldn't recommend Kelsey and her service, particularly as some boarding relies on her husband being available. Kelsey has many good reviews on her Facebook page, however, she has blocked me from her page so I suspect she does this to anyone who would like to leave a less than desirable review for her! I left a nice comment on her page about one of the beautiful dogs she was sitting and how excited they were, which she liked at the time. I have never and would never comment inappropriately on someone's page, and certainly have never sent a malicious message (I'm a bit too old for playground behaviour!) This is after all someone's business but I think she may have suspected I would be leaving this feedback! I addressed these issues directly with you but then was unable to contact you which is a shame as I'm sure the customer- business exchange may have been more productive. There was no report made to Facebook and there was certainly nothing inappropriate on your page, you deleted my comment as its YOUR page! We have used home boarders before with no issues, but because Kelsey phoned me offering her services, I accepted. Please be vary cautious when choosing Kelsey, she is a dog walker, but simply not experienced enough and her approach to animals and humans is very "one size fits all". I believe we should agree to disagree, my version of events is very different to yours clearly. Reviews are there for people to leave honest feedback. Not for the business to keep coming back to the customer with unprofessional remarks and messages. Take it on the chin and move on.
Our puppy has been going to Kelsey since he was 5 months old. He goes once a week and without a doubt has the best time! We have a lot to thank Kelsey for in terms of his walking and how good he is with other dogs. He recently had an overnight stay and as new dog owners we were very nervous to leave him but it was clear how much he was loved and treated like part of the family while he was there.
Fantastic fluffy friends hotel this place should be called cause they simply are Fantastic. Heidi is such a lovely lady and looks after my 3 girls (guinea pigs) like they are her own. They get lots of yummy and fresh food. Plenty of hugs and tickles. Lots Outside time when weather is permitting. Lots of pictures and updates to keep owners well informed. Can not recommend this place enough.
There are no other pet boardings that I would feel as comfortable leaving my two rabbits with as Fluffy Friends Hotel. I know Heidi will take the best care of them and I feel like they have their own little holiday too. Nothing but a 5 star experience each time - I would 100% recommend!

Heidi was an amazing lady to look after my guinea pig gucci and hamsters even at very short notice, I was really anxious about leaving them but I had updates every other day on my pets. I had my guinea pigs stay with Heidi at Fluffly Friends Hotel recently, and honestly, I couldn't choose anyone better for taking care of them! She js very kind, and you can see that she understands guinea pigs and rabbits. Heidi has a wonderful boarding service! Unlike many local bunny boarding services who offer hutches, the Fluffy Friends Hotel have generous clean spaces which accommodate for the buns welfare. Heidi provides picture updates and my buns were clearly very happy and relaxed, fully stretched and flopped out. They were provided with enrichment and outside grass time (when the weather was permitting). Heidi really helped me out of a last minute pickle, when I needed holiday care for my fluffle of four and I could not recommend her more highly. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Heidi so much for your love and care! 💕

Heidi did an amazing job looking after my 2 piggies while we went away for 3 weeks. Stephen is absolutely amazing!!!! The person who was supposed to stay with my dog dropped out last minute, so I asked Stephen if he could help me out. Although he was very busy he went beyond and above to help. My dog absolutely loves it over Stephen's house. His two dogs are absolutely adorable and laid back, so they set a good example to other dogs. I would highly recommend Barley Cross as Stephen and his wife have got a beautiful place and they do care about every single furry resident who come to their place.
Barley Cross Dog Boarding was recommended to me in January 2024 after several very stressful months trying to find reliable day care for my (then) one year old Cocker Spaniel, Louis. Being a first time dog mum, I was very anxious about leaving Louis with anyone, so I am very grateful for the recommendation. Louis is now 18 months old and spends 2 days a week with Stephen and he absolutely loves it! He also boarded for a week earlier this month when I went abroad. He had the best time ever! and I was able to relax and enjoy my holiday knowing that Louis was in safe hands. Stephen is absolutely amazing with Louis. He really does care about every single one of the dogs in his care. Louis is always treated like a member of the family. He loves seeing his furry friends, the long walks and rather a lot of swimming in the rhine now he's figured out how to get in and out on his own without the need for assistance! Stephen knows his 'pack' very well and goes the extra mile to ensure that peace and harmony is maintained. All of the dogs in his care are so friendly. Stephen offers flexibility with drop offs and collections which has been incredibly helpful as my commute to work is over an hour. If I could give more than 5 stars I would - I can't recommend Barley Cross Boarding highly enough! Thank you Stephen, not only have you helped me raise a wonderful, kind, gentle dog, you have saved my sanity for which I will always be grateful.
Our pup loves going to Barley Cross. She's been going to their daycare service for a little while now and recently completed her trial night! Stephen makes sure the pups are introduced to eachother carefully and always makes sure they come home tired, so no need to worry about an after work walk
Absolutely spot on . You get what you pay for. It’s well worth the extra money compared to a kennel for the service, and knowing that your dog will get the best care. Storm came back more relaxed from his holiday than I did from mine.
Until she went to stay with Stephen at Barley Cross, our lagotto had only ever been left with family so we were understandably nervous. We didn’t need to be. Tali is delighted to see Stephen at drop off and trots off very happily with him - always a good sign! She’s been for day care and boarding and comes home happy and exhausted. We like the small setting and home from home set up which suits our somewhat sensitive pooch. Stephen is very professional, thorough in his vetting of dogs and careful with introductions to make sure everyone will get on. He has accepted our mud and water loving gremlin and her quirks and we would highly recommend! Tali is looking forward to her next visit 🐶
Absolutely Amazing service!!!! I called at very short notice and Stephen couldn’t be any more helpful, fitting us in last minute. Constant updates with pictures and messages. Eric my sprocker like all spaniels is very energetic, he’s had so many fun walks and runs this weekend which has been Perfect, as I’ve been able to come back home and unpack from the weekend, Eric is knackered 👍 I could not recommend Barley cross dog boarding any more, if I could give a 10 star I would! Stephen absolutely loves his dogs and treats yours as his own! Thanks again for all your help and Eric looks forward to his next holiday with you 🐶
Our whippet stayed for 4 nights and had the best time, he didn’t want to come home! Really professional service, kept updated on our dog throughout the stay, Stephen really took the time to get to know him and made sure he was happy throughout his stay. Cannot recommend enough

Couldn’t be more pleased with the care shown to our energetic pup who stayed for five nights in total. Bluey was made so welcome and I was really impressed by the way his individual needs and routines were catered for without a second thought. Feel very pleased to have discovered an absolute gem in Barley Cross Dog Boarding!
Woodie (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) has just come home from a 6 night stay with Barley Cross. He has returned very happy and relaxed and he's even lost a bit of weight! Which I've been trying to get him to do for ages now. Stephen is a true professional and nothing is too much trouble. We'll definitely be using Barley Cross Dog Boarding again and I can't recommend them highly enough.
