I enjoyed getting to know Ophelia and Sky. Both dogs are intelligent, super sweet and highly adaptable to me as a new person in their home. (Their humans were a bit surprised by this, I think.) Some people may only give this sit a 4-star because (as of this writing) Sky is very timid and afraid of going for walks. She also does not play fetch or with dog toys. Therefore, it is difficult to get her enough exercise and burn off energy. The dogs cannot be left alone for more than 4-5 hours because Sky needs to be let out to potty. Also, Ophelia likes to wake up in the middle of the night to potty. However, other than those things, I thought the dogs were delightful. The home is comfortable and only a 10-minute drive or so to shopping areas with several grocery stores. However, there is a lot of traffic noise because the house is separated from the busy street by only a sidewalk and some trees.
House-sitting at Marie's was a lovely experience. Paddy and Mitzy are both adorable gentle little guys and quickly became our friends. Mitzy will let you know if she wants some scratches or especially goodies while Paddy is just so happy to lay next to you on the couch with some belly rubs. They are best friends and take turn when it comes to feeding. We never saw that before with dogs and it‘s the cutes thing ever. We enjoyed taking them on walks and giving them scratches. We also enjoyed exploring Boyle and the surrounding areas, there is an great amount of hikes, mountains and castles to explore. Thank you Marie for trusting us this extended period of time 🙂
We really enjoyed our time with Blanco in Kelsey’s beautiful home. He is a gentle giant and really does love nothing more than chilling on the couch with you—our only warning is that if you get too delightfully cozy and fall asleep there with him, his big-boi bark will rip the soul from your body 😱 His expressions are goofy, almost humanlike. Bonus points, the house is very well insulated and soundproofed so it was an oasis from the Austin summer heat. We would happily return!
Jeff and Angela are lovely people. It was very easy to organise the house sit with them and they made us feel very welcome in their home. It was fun being part of Zack's Pack. He was a very good boy. As border collies are a farm dog breed, they are more energetic than other dog breeds. However, with Zack we found that as long as he has his walks and he get some pats and attention, he is very relaxed at home. West Cork is a beautiful area. The house is in the country side. It is about 15 minutes from Clonakilty town and 20 minutes from some beautiful beaches. It is a good location for exploring West Cork.
This house was our second sit and it was a beautiful one. From the beginning we kept a really good conversation with Ronan and his partner and when we arrived at the house they received us with everything perfectly explained and a lovely house warming gift. Oscar and Suri are the most loving and easy going dogs, they always followed us everywhere we went and they behaved beautifully. Dexy and Pocket are a couple of lovely chill cats that just like to eat and sleep right next to you. And finally, the Ronan's house was a delight to be in. Packed with everything we needed and 20 minutes away from the city center so that we were able to enjoy the relaxation of the suburbs and be in the city in just a bit. All in all, a beautiful sitting that we'd recommend to anyone looking for a lovely couple if days in Dublin. Thank you very much guys 😊😊😊
I had a great time in Florence with the two cats Kerala & Bombay. Camila genuinely love her cats and is eager that everything is smooth for them as well as for you as a sitter. Camila is very flexible and communication was fast and easy, both before and during the sit. The apartment is tiny but cosy and there is everything that you will need, and it correlates well with the pictures. The bed is comfortable and there is a very fast WiFi. The area is quite with a locked gate in to the yard where the apartment is situated. It is close to the river, train station, buses and tram and a short walk to the city center. Kerala and Bombay are easy-going cats. Bombay was a little suspicious initially, but in the end of the week both cats were very social and seeking contact. They love when they can go in & out as they want with an open door, but comes fast with the ”tuna-trick” if you need to get them indoors. I recommend this sit for anyone who love cats and city exploring.
